Why oh why did I step foot into this shop. I know I cannot resist purchasing when going into a sweetshop of this type. Now I can go shopping and breeze by the sweet counter, I can see pick and mix in the shopping centre and not bat an eye but this... a sweet shop selling nothing but the sweet stuff, in jars, in packets and worst of all, with a personal scoop and paper bag to fill with your dreams! I did try to resist but then realised that, they were not normal sweets, they could actually be good for me. As proof, you will see a sign saying that their sweets 'are made from natural colours and flavours, free from gluten and gelatine, trans fats and genetically modified ingredients (GMO)' so good for you right? This isn't a traditional sweet shop so don't come trying to find the kola cubes or pear drops, etc, but to find other tasty goodies just as wonderful on the tongue! Red Ferraris are a must try if you love chewy sticky sweets. They have a great selection of sour sweets (my fav). They seems to have a sway towards Swedish sweets also. Just remember, you are buying by weight so, be careful with giving into temptation.

I went here on a yelp sweets tour around camden! We sampled some of the vast selection of pick and mix in this little shop. They do quite a few variations on sweet and salty liquorice! Which even divided the opinions of liquorice lovers. I really enjoyed it! Also, in the pick and mix selection they have a chocolate covered marshmallow with caramel inside and crunchy bits on top. Kind of like a toffee crisp but better! I would go back there just for a bag of those. Other than the odd special thing I couldn't get too excited over the sweets though.

An Aladdin's cave of sweet treats! Lots of glass jars filled with weird and wonderful confectionary from Sweden and more traditional sweets too. Great decor with zebra heads on the wall! Staff were friendly and cheerful!

It doesn't exist. It's a building with a for lease sign so it needs updating. Walked miles for nothing

Personally I love liquorice and sour sweets so I ended up with quite a big bag (too much to choose from)...

For a tiny place, we were here a while because there's a lot to choose from. Counter service was courteous and prices aren't anything to complain about either. Will be back and recommended to satisfy your sweet tooth.

When I was younger and lived in the UK I absolutely loved Bon Bon's, especially the lemon ones…read more Now I didn't just like any Bon Bon's I enjoyed the traditional ones, none of the imitation brands. The last decade when going back I've never found good ones in a pick n mix or in the bags at the grocery stores, I was only able to find cheaper versions and then I stumbled across Hardy's in London! Wow they have the most delicious Bon Bon's in every flavor you can possibly think of! I needed them to last a while so I bought a pre mixed bag for around 3 pound that had toffee, apple, blue berry, vimto, lemon, strawberry...you name the flavor and they had it! The other cool thing about this shop for UK residents is that they have all the "American" candy along with Flips pretzels, peanut butter, marshmallow fluff and other goodies. To me I obviously have this stuff everyday but my local friend was just as excited about the American candy and treats as I was with the bon bon's, we definitely walked out with a sugar high!

Sorry. I wanted to be blown away, but I can only (generously) give 2 stars…read more The room is very clean and bright and pretty. The table settings are adorable. The food was lovely - particularly the pastries (the sandwiches were fine but nothing superior). But the service was execrable. All the wait staff were very nice. A couple of our servers in particular were sweet and tentative and touchingly young. After we initially ordered, however, were never approached by any member of staff again - except for the junior server, who gave us plenty of refills of tap water. Despite ordering two glasses of champagne and a glass of sparkling tea, we were not asked if we would like to purchase any additional up-charge beverages. We were not asked if we wanted more sandwiches or pastries, although the party at the table right next to us was asked. We were not offered any additional pastries or scones. PLEASE NOTE: The afternoon tea at Fortnum and Mason is VERY expensive. We paid £84 per person ($112.85 at today's exchange rate) not including the champagne and sparkling tea. It is also supposed to be "bottomless." It was not bottomless for us. We got one each, after which we were roundly - perhaps even deliberately? - ignored. At the end of the meal someone came by and asked if we would like a box for the two scones that were left. Given that we were not offered any additional food, the offer of a box for the scones was particularly insulting. In addition, I mentioned in the online reservation form that the occasion was our niece's 20th birthday. There was absolutely no acknowledgment made of that, prompting me to wonder why in the heck Fortnum's would ask unless it was to sell marketing information to someone. I also specified in that reservation screen that one of the party was a vegetarian. The wait staff had clearly never been told that that was the case because they made absolutely no mention of it. We were recently at Hawksmoor for my husband's milestone birthday, and I mentioned in their online reservation system that it was a special occasion. Hawksmoor went out of their way to make it special. The wait staff there were very attentive, and made us feel as though we were being attended to. The wait staff at Fortnum's were perfectly sweet, but as above, we were ignored after being served. Not to belabor this, but again, one of the selling points of the afternoon tea is that it is bottomless. I have been told by many people that servers cheerfully come to the table and offer additional sandwiches and pastries. This did not happen to us and it was, frankly, embarrassing since this tea was supposed to be a special occasion for our niece. My husband is not the kind of guy to strike out the server tip line on the bill, and he didn't do that on this occasion. The staff, when they bothered to appear, seemed to be trying. Regardless, we felt thoroughly ripped off. We paid an exorbitant amount of money for an absolutely minimal amount of food and a very non-special experience. It was not far off from a Tesco's meal deal and a couple of Bakewell tarts from Gail's, and I say that reluctantly. I really wanted to love the experience. The store itself is gorgeous and Fortnum's goods are understandably legenday, but the afternoon tea fell extremely short of the mark.
