When he went to pick it up, it was not decorated to what he asked for (it was supposed to have additional icing detail on the sides and adornments on top). I cut into it and it looks good but the cake layers are uneven/thin, icing layers are thick in ratio to the cake and the sugar paper wasn't adhered well (wavy). The icing is overly sweet and the white cake was supposed to be wedding white but it's a buttermilk white. It's tangy, tastes off and the blue icing had so much color it has that dye aftertaste. The cake is pretty but it's not good. I don't know what my friend paid for it but I am guessing it was pricey because it was custom. I love supporting local but not if it's a poor product.
