The store is not well organized (beer is not by type, sorta random, mostly singles) but whatever they have some solid selections. Then I made a mistake and didn't look on the bottoms of the cans. There were IPAs that had remove from shelf dates in summer 2024 dates on them when I unloaded. What the heck are they doing still selling that? I cannot recommend this place as a result. The person behind the counter was helpful and made some suggestions for beers and the prices were reasonable. They have a large snack and alcohol selection as well as some smoking items. The shop is clean and well taken care of.

I paid cash at the counter in advance before going to pump #7 to fuel my vehicle. The hose where it meets the nozzle was frayed to the point where it was breached, and started spraying gasoline all over me, my car, and the ground. I informed the attendant about the problem, and she was very rude to me - not only did she not bother to investigate the matter, but she even told me I was the only one who complained about it, implying that I was lying when I asked for a credit or refund for the gas I paid for that was pumped out of the hole in the hose & not into the car's tank. I even had her call the owner to report it, and their only concern was my request for a refund -- there was no concern at all about gasoline leaking onto the ground at your station. She refused to let me speak with the owner myself. So incredibly unprofessional and just flat out rude. 800 number doesn't deal with the type of prescription we need filled for my child so I have to hold whenever they give us the runaround and make it impossible to fill his prescription that he has to have to function in school. I am going to research new pharmacies after tonight because I am tired of the incredibly inconsiderate treatment to their patients. I am a nurse and I wouldn't dare hang up on a patient nor speak to them in the manner these folks do. Patients holding for so long when they can't speak to the 800 number is also just inexcusable. So, you ask yourself, why the heck would she say that and give them five stars?? Well, while it is a huge issue for me that I cannot fill prescriptions there with the coverage of my insurance, I ended up there the other night because CVS has decided, in their infinite wisdom, that this portion of Iowa does not need the ability to fill a prescription at 10 p.m. at night. My son, who was in the ER until his release at 10 p.m., would likely disagree. He really needed pain meds, and I had very few options to fill the script. I ended up at Walgreens, resolving that his physical health and well-being was more important than the cost-savings of waiting until morning to fill the prescription. They quoted me the price, and I told them I would deal... it wasn't enormous, and it was better than making him suffer until morning. The pharmacist was very nice. I couldn't fault her for the lame fact that they do not take military insurance. I waited, and they filled the script. When I went to pay, she told me she had found a discount (I honestly have no idea if this was a coupon lying around or the fact that I happened to have a shoppers' card, but either way...). I saved about half on the script and my son slept better that night with the pain meds I was able to get for him. If Walgreens starts taking my insurance again, I will likely not bother with CVS anymore. I much prefer being able to fill and emergency prescription and having a nice pharmacist available to talk to, even in the wee hours of the night. 24 hour pharmacy... what a novel concept!!
