I do not recommend this place and will never again, and here's why. I want to start out by saying, I have gone to Sugar Mama's Beauty Bar for the last 5 years. For many services, every 4 weeks. I have recommended many people to this business along with being happy with the results. That said, I have had the worst experience from there in the last week. First of all, my original appointment on 5/26/17 was cancelled. Jessica Fitzgerald (West), the owner, said she had an emergency. No problem, I'd been seeing her for many years, this is not the first time I had been cancelled on and I totally understand that emergencies happen. I then re-booked an appointment for 6/8/17. I couldn't remember what time I booked the appointment so I went onto her website to check, it showed cancelled. No notice, no nothing. I then texted Jessica asking if she accidentally cancelled that one too, assuming it was an error. I still needed a sugaring at this point. I asked her if she could stay late or come in a little early as this cancellation was not told to me. I was willing to be flexible, but needed her to be also. I asked her multiple times to give me a day that worked best for her. She never did. Said I needed to go book time on her website and that it wasn't her fault that they had been cancelled. I assumed she would be a smart enough business woman, to understand if she made a mistake to own it and be willing to fit for a long time customer. She wasn't. Her responses were rude and unprofessional. Saying "What can't you believe? That I'm not being over backwards to rip out your crotch hair out when there is a million other places you can go because my schedule doesn't work with yours?...you are being such a princess. I don't need this stupidity in my life." Mind you, she picked a profession that "rips out crotch hair" and I guess I was "being a princess" because she wouldn't help figure out a time that worked for both of us, after cancelling TWO appointments in the last week. Needless to say, I will never be going back and you shouldn't either. If you would like to actually have your appointments kept and someone professional, do not go here. Update: After posting this review Jessica again decided to text me about how I am "a piece shit" and that she "called the police and contacted her lawyer". Again showing how unprofessional she is behaving and all over a Facebook/ yelp review. If you don't want the drama, stay away from this place. read more

This should really be zero stars not even One star but oh well.... With that being said this is probably the WORST customer service I have ever had. I recently purchased a groupon for sugar mamas beauty bar eyelash extensions as a gift to my mom. We tried to set up an appointment with this girl for weeks and could not get ahold of her. We went to the actual shop and nobody was there, we called no answer, and we emailed no answer. Finally weeks later we get a reply by email saying we have to leave our credit card information with her in order to make an appt. we asked her why we would we need to give her our credit card if it's already been payed for on groupon? Anyways, long Story short this girl wrote a NASTY email back saying that she is REFUSING to perform the service and doesn't want our business and we need to contact groupon and get our money back. TALK ABOUT TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS. Couldn't believe how rude she was!!! All because we asked a simple question. This girl needs to grow up and Learn how to run a business properly. Awesome experience! Jessica was so much fun to hang out with, she did a full set of classic lashes on me and they look amazing! The 90 minutes flew by because we were chatting the whole time. I am so happy I went to her instead of some chop shop salon, she uses real quality products and pays a lot of attention to detail. Can't wait to go back for a fill! read more

I booked 3 facials with Jessica for the 3 months before my wedding. She is so friendly, genuinely nice, she talks you through the whole facial in a soothing voice letting you know each step. When it came time to have my makeup done on my big day, the makeup artist kept commenting about how amazing my skin was. Thank you Jessica for your part in making me look beautiful on my special day. I would not recommend sugar mamas for Brazilians/Bikini sugaring. My New Years resolution was to get Brazilians every 4 weeks. The girl I normally see for waxing before I go on vacations is in Bellevue so I was looking for a place closer to home. I really wanted to try sugaring and with a Google search I found Sugar Mamas. The place looked cute and it had good reviews so I booked an appt. Jessica was SOOO sweet and made me feel VERY comfortable and I have to say that I am very disappointed it didn't work out because I REALLY liked Jessica. She definitely did not seem comfortable with a Brazilian, like she does not do them very often. I asked her to remove everything besides a little triangle on the front. This is what I ask for everytime I get waxed so I knew what to expect. I have ALOT of thick hair but I have always left past appt clean and smooth. I left Sugar Mamas with a VERY BAD basic bikini wax. Instead of taking the hair out she just broke it off so I had stubble within a day of the appt. everywhere she did sugar was lots of stray hairs left behind. When she did my back side she said it was clean and smooth but when I got in the shower that night I realized ALL MY HAIR was still there. I emailed her the next day telling her about the situation and asking her for a refund, she said she was only willing to give me $10 refund. Since I liked her so much I wasn't going to argue about it. I went to a different place today to have it fixed and the girl that worked on me said she could tell that it had been done all wrong! And that I had ingrown hairs and bruises everywhere! When doing further research I noticed that all of the reviews for Sugar Mamas are for eyelash extensions so I'm sure she does those fabulously! I also noticed that most of the reviewers have only reviewed Sugar Mamas :-/ im not saying that you shouldn't go see Jessica just don't go for a Brazilian/bikini sugaring! read more

Had questions in regards to using a group on and had difficulty getting in touch with the 'owner' and when she finally replied, she was less than professional, let alone even nice. Would not recommend this salon due to lack of customer service and unprofessionalism. These services are expensive, but I am willing to pay for good service. Group On's are just for trying places out to see who I will use on a regular basis. Certainly not Jessica West and Sugar Mama's Beauty Bar. read more

I have been going to Sugar Mama's for over a year to get waxing (sugaring) done. I've been getting my face waxed for almost 7 years, Jessica is BY FAR one of the best estheticians I have ever met. She does a very precise job, cares about my skin care regime, and always makes sure I have the healthiest best looking skin. I recently came in for an eyelash set and I LOVE IT. They are perfect. I wanted something noticeable (too lazy for daily mascara), but nothing super dramatic... She nailed it. I've gotten tons of compliments and I have been recommending everyone too her. Aside from how I look, Jessica's personality makes visiting her relaxing and fun. I have had zero problem booking with her, most times last minute, and have never had an issue using StyleSeat either. If you are looking for someone who has a passion for making people look and feel good I would highly recommend Jessica West!!! I love her cute, cozy and clean boutique. I was in search for someone who was close to home and did lash extensions... She is very personable as soon as I walked in she warmly greeted me and then gave me the break down on all the different lashes... I never knew there was SO many choices!! Jessica is extremely knowledgeable in her profession and I am very pleased with my lashes I got exactly what I wanted- thick, medium to long lashes! She even mixed mine so that I could have a somewhat natural look but with volume, not a lot of places will do that.
