I regularly buy Baker's chocolates at the grocery store but there was so much more selection and the prices were cheaper. For example, the bag of Patriotic Mix was $12.95 while it's usually $16.99 at Hy-Vee for the same thing. Besides the chocolates they are known for, they also had a large selection of saltwater taffy, fudge, and a ton of other candies, some I haven't seen since childhood. In addition to candy, they also sold a lot of locally made food stuffs like Rotella's bread, Mi Mama tortillas, Valentino's, Dorothy lynch, salsas, dips, jams, jerky, spaghetti sauce, you name it. They even had t-shirts, hats, and a refrigerated section for various meats. It was really cute inside and a lot of places for photo opportunities. There was a bench inside and a covered patio outside with a big parking lot. The staff were quick, efficient, and friendly. Pine Creek offers some seasonal and smaller home furnishing. More leaning to home good. And some items on Harvest Creek you don't necessarily think of when you think Iowa. A variety of "made in our shop" popcorn flavors and sizes. Soft pretzels, frosted nuts, pizza, street tacos, nachos, sandwiches and more. All set in a cozy 50's diner style atmosphere complete with jukebox and retro decor. Stop by the first Saturday night every April-October and catch some of the old classic cars that hang out for the Cruzin Clarinda nights. We are open from the 1st part of April to right before Christmas every year.
