She really makes you feel like it's no big deal (because it isn't, people get Brazilians all the time, but it's hard to convince yourself that it's gonna be okay when you've never tried, lol). It did hurt, I'm not gonna lie, but we were laughing in between my swearing. Not only do they have an awesome sale every Halloween (or around that time) where you can save over 50% off when you purchase the bundles. I had a great experience at Sugar Bar. Sugaring is indeed painful but well worth it from my perspective for the outcome. Cassie was wonderful - both kind and professional. We had easy conversation which was a helpful distraction from the pain and discomfort. At the end of my service, I happily signed up for a special package of 3 Brazilians for $150 instead of paying $80 for one. Definitely a great value. I came here for a butt wax. Now typically, I might feel somewhat reserved to post that in a public social media space like this, but the newfound confidence I received after this waxing has really improved my confidence enough to do so anyways. I tried out sugaring for hair removal in my underarms. I tried it a few months ago, went back to regular waxing for awhile, and wanted to try sugaring again. I found that sugaring was painful (to me, about the same as waxing). But the treatment seemed to leave the underarms very smooth initially. Their new establishment is lovely as well, very peaceful. The one part of the experience that I did not enjoy was when the employee who was doing my sugaring kept giving me crap for switching between waxing and sugaring, and not just devoting myself to their sugaring services after my first visit a few months ago. The first few times was funny, but after a while it stopped being charming and was more annoying. Not sure I will be back. read more

I wanted to try this alternative to waxing. I can't say I particularly prefer it. The sugar gets everywhere and went on my eyelashes. BE ON TIME TO YOUR APPOINTMENT!!!! Sooooo, I'm from the East side and every time I travel to the West side it feels like I'm out of town LOL! I have no sense of direction on the West side - saying that to say I had a hard time finding the place. My appointment was at 1:30pm, walked in the door at 1:40pm SHARP! The lovely ladies proceeded to tell me they couldnt do me because there is a 10 minute late policy. (One lady even said she called me... not calling her a liar or anything but my phone never rung so I walked in there all excited just to be let down). From what I saw its very nice and clean in there, the decor is super cute. Nice lil business. I understand you make an appointment for a reason and when you're late you're taking time from other clients. This place is really good for first time waxing. My best friend and I came here to get our first Brazilian waxes, we walked in and told the receptionist what we were there for. We filled out paperwork for new clients and awaited for our waxing. We were both very scared so they recommended their best lady for waxing us. She waxed us both and we felt so much better about being waxed. She made us laugh and laughed with us as well as took care to get all off the hair removed and we left happy and a little sore but it was worth it and a great experience. As I've tried many other hair removal services (laser, hard wax, shaving, etc) I can honestly say that sugaring is the best option for me and have recommended many friends here as I trust the service, professionalism, and experience I know they'll receive at this business. Sarah specifically does my waxing and I am nothing but pleased with the job and her every time. From my very first visit to every visit since Sarah and her staff are nothing short of amazing, they are friendly and professional and I've always felt comfortable. Sugaring (Brazilian) may not be for everyone the first visit can be a little painful but Sarah and each of the other ladies that I have had for sugaring make it as painless as possible! I had never tried sugaring before visiting Sugar Bar and I have to say, I am now a fan! The place itself is clean and professional, as are the employees. Kaleigh wasn't super friendly, but I'm also not very talkative in that setting; she did an efficient, thorough job with the brazilian and the sugaring process was better for my sensitive skin, so I'll definitely be returning! I took them up on the package offered at the first visit, which turns their fairly pricey service fee into a great deal. I'd advise you to take advantage of a groupon or the 15% off first-time service by using the yelp check-in feature to try them out and then go ahead and buy the package if you like it! read more

The salon is very clean and comfortable and I saw Cassie who I'd recommend to everyone! She is very sweet. We talked like old friends even though it was my first appointment. She makes you feel that comfortable. She's also pretty quick which is awesome being that a Brazilian isn't the most pleasant experience. My west side girlfriend accidentally bought two Groupons for sugaring at this business. What a happy accident it was. She gifted one to me and we met for back-to-back appointments. The spot itself is conveniently located, with ample street parking, especially during the week. Now for the sugaring: I've had waxing before, but never sugaring. I'm not 100% sure what I thought it actually was prior to going, but it's exactly what it sounds like. Cassie did a great job explaining the process and aftercare. She was super professional and thorough. I was in/out in 15ish minutes, a little sticky, but absolutely no lingering discomfort. Much to my surprise, I had zero redness or ingrowns as time passed! My only regret was not taking advantage of the first time customer offer: 3 sugar sessions for $100. I will definitely be back!
