I've been here a few times and it's always a great experience. All of the aestheticians are skilled and really nice. Also, the products they use are all natural which is a plus! I'm definitely going to keep going because I really like the results of the Sugar versus Wax. read more

This awesome review is looonnng overdue!!! This was my first experience with sugaring. I prefer the Brazilian. Not only do they have an awesome sale every Halloween (or around that time) where you can save over 50% off when you purchase the bundles. The best part is that the services you buy that way never expire! I have only had one bad experience in the last 3-4 years, but that didn't affect my patronage. The vibe is classy and welcoming. Their lobby/reception area is always neat, and the cleanliness is abound. Thank you ladies! read more

Fake front desk girls. They are judgmental and talk about clients. Not a good vibe in this place.

I was looking to get my eyebrows threaded & found this place online. The sugaring procedure piqued my interest so I decided to try it on my sideburns. They did a great job! Would come again. read more

I was one of those people who was terrified to get a Brazilian. I was afraid of the pain as well as the notion of showing my most private areas to a stranger. Amanda made me so much more comfortable! She really makes you feel like it's no big deal (because it isn't, people get Brazilians all the time, but it's hard to convince yourself that it's gonna be okay when you've never tried, lol). It did hurt, I'm not gonna lie, but we were laughing in between my swearing. I got legs, underarms and Brazilian and I'm so happy with the results and that the process wasn't actually awkward at all because of Amanda! I'm sure the other girls here are also wonderful at what they do. The whole staff was super friendly and welcoming and I bought packages to save me some money on my future sugaring appointments. Thank you ladies!! I'm so happy on my quest to get waxed I discovered Sugar Bar instead. read more

Not recommended for male brazilians or sugar services. They don't include those services in their promotions, plus they only have one person certified to do those services. You'll be waiting months. read more

I had a great experience at Sugar Bar. Sugaring is indeed painful but well worth it from my perspective for the outcome. Cassie was wonderful - both kind and professional. We had easy conversation which was a helpful distraction from the pain and discomfort. At the end of my service, I happily signed up for a special package of 3 Brazilians for $150 instead of paying $80 for one. Definitely a great value. Also, the facility is clean and there is plenty of metered street parking. Glad to have this in Lakewood! read more

I came here for a butt wax. Now typically, I might feel somewhat reserved to post that in a public social media space like this, but the newfound confidence I received after this waxing has really improved my confidence enough to do so anyways. So here I finding myself writing the BARE truth all for the sake of your support in this fantastic company. Prices were also great. $15 for a butt wax...these people are essentially running a charity when asking for that low of a fee. Ask for Michele for a butt wax, she's great to work with and will laugh with you the whole way. Would post a picture but...Um... yeah read more

I tried out sugaring for hair removal in my underarms. I tried it a few months ago, went back to regular waxing for awhile, and wanted to try sugaring again. I found that sugaring was painful (to me, about the same as waxing). But the treatment seemed to leave the underarms very smooth initially. Their new establishment is lovely as well, very peaceful. The one part of the experience that I did not enjoy was when the employee who was doing my sugaring kept giving me crap for switching between waxing and sugaring, and not just devoting myself to their sugaring services after my first visit a few months ago. The first few times was funny, but after a while it stopped being charming and was more annoying. Not sure I will be back. read more

I've had waxing done before. But, was out of town and decided to get a Brazilian. I looked all over yelp and google for the place With the best reviews. I'm so so happy i found them! Katie was amazing. She talked me through the whole process and made sure i was comfortable. I live in the Detroit area but, will make the trip back to Katie at the Sugar Bar for my treatments :) read more

I've been to Amanda a few times for a Brazilian.. She is great. She is fast with minimal pain. I don't handle pain well at all and she made the experience very comfortable. Amanda took her time to make sure she didn't miss anything but was still quick and efficient. I definitely recommend Amanda. read more

Very professional and I love that the lady distracted me from the pain from all the painful waxing. They made me feel comfortable and the whole atmosphere made me feel at home. I recommend this place for sure! read more

Great owner, staff and services. Discrete and professional advice and follow up care. High quality products and regular promos and package specials. read more

I had an awesome experience here. I went in a little nervous as I'd never had sugaring done before, but the staff was amazing and I stopped being anxious the moment I met Kelli. She was great and I highly recommend her. She distracted me the entire time with friendly conversation, which was a lifesaver and really helped me ignore the pain. A friend recommended Sugar Bar to me, and I have been recommending it to everyone since I visited! I thought it was very clean. Lots of street parking. Prices seemed very reasonable. I will return here again and again! read more

I've been wanting to try "sugaring" for a while and finally went and was so pleased! I was very nervous but Sarah was excellent and talked me through every step. I felt super comfortable the whole time I was there and all staff was very professional. I already have my next appointment booked. Would highly recommend, they know what they're doing! read more

BE ON TIME TO YOUR APPOINTMENT!!!! Sooooo, I'm from the East side and every time I travel to the West side it feels like I'm out of town LOL! I have no sense of direction on the West side - saying that to say I had a hard time finding the place. My appointment was at 1:30pm, walked in the door at 1:40pm SHARP! The lovely ladies proceeded to tell me they couldnt do me because there is a 10 minute late policy. (One lady even said she called me... not calling her a liar or anything but my phone never rung so I walked in there all excited just to be let down). From what I saw its very nice and clean in there, the decor is super cute. Nice lil business. I understand you make an appointment for a reason and when you're late you're taking time from other clients. I talked about getting my first sugar wax all week and the fact that I didnt get it today was a bummer but I would try again - & WILL BE ON TIME :) read more

I wanted to try this alternative to waxing. I can't say I particularly prefer it. The sugar gets everywhere and went on my eyelashes. The trimming after caused strays to be intact on my skin when moisturizer was applied. I wish there was more of an aftercare sermon for my skin which becomes red due to its sensitivity read more

This place is on point...I get sugared every 4-6 weeks and they do an amazing job!!! I left a review on yp as well and it asked for a review on the food so I must also state that the pink starbursts are yummy . read more

Caitlin is the freaking best. Great personality and always makes me feel like a new lady walking out.

I love it here I had gone to a waxing place and I had an awful experience I swore I would forever use a razor. A friend referred Sarah and told me how wonderful sugaring was. I made an appointment I was really uncomfortable at first but I got there and I felt like I knew her for years. All the girls are so nice and welcoming. I recommend sugaring to all my friends especially at Sugar bar. If your getting waxed now you are causing your self so much unnessarh pain. They offer so many other products as well and it's not a big chain. Love love love read more

This place is really good for first time waxing. My best friend and I came here to get our first Brazilian waxes, we walked in and told the receptionist what we were there for. We filled out paperwork for new clients and awaited for our waxing. We were both very scared so they recommended their best lady for waxing us. She waxed us both and we felt so much better about being waxed. She made us laugh and laughed with us as well as took care to get all off the hair removed and we left happy and a little sore but it was worth it and a great experience. I would recommend it to friends and family, sugar bar will talk you through it and make you feel a lot better about the experience. It's not just a wax for the money. They make it an experience. They want your money but they also what you to be comfortable and happy about this beauty experience. read more

Absolutely LOVE this place! Very clean and cute. Staff is extremely friendly, efficient, and they really know what their doing! Sarah is such an incredible woman and trains her team to give their best to each client. Staff is always professional and does the job well! If you are on the west side and looking for any kind of hair removal or skincare services, Sugar Bar is your place! Make sure you grab a package to save some extra $$$, even though their prices are already fantastic! Would give this place 10 stars if I could!! read more

Sugar Bar is THE BEST place to go in Cleveland for your hair removal needs. As I've tried many other hair removal services (laser, hard wax, shaving, etc) I can honestly say that sugaring is the best option for me and have recommended many friends here as I trust the service, professionalism, and experience I know they'll receive at this business. Sarah specifically does my waxing and I am nothing but pleased with the job and her every time. The rest of the staff are always pleasant as well, and even when I had to receive a waxing from someone else when i needed to get in urgently for an out of town beach trip and couldn't get Sarah (because she's amazing and stays booked) my experience was still nothing besides great. Beyond sugaring, they have many other services they offer such as eyelash extensions and facials. Highly recommend. read more

I have been going to Sugar Bar for well over a year now. I found it in groupon. I have had bad experiences with waxing before even have a scar from one past experience. Sarah takes time to get to know you as a client and what you expect the end result to be as well as recommending great skin care advice. She is an expert in reducing ingrown hairs and sugaring. Best Brazilian and brow sugar experience in all of the Cleveland area. read more

I don't usually write reviews, but I had such a wonderful experience at Sugar Bar yesterday! My first time getting treatment like this done and I am thrilled with the results. I only got my armpits done, but they literally feel like a baby's bottom which is AMAZING! The entire staff was incredibly friendly and relatable - honestly just really cool people. I enjoyed my short time there and can't wait to go back! read more

Sugar bar is amazing! I have been a client for several years and Sarah is running a top notch business that has continued to grow and improve since my first visit which was my first sugar experience. From my very first visit to every visit since Sarah and her staff are nothing short of amazing, they are friendly and professional and I've always felt comfortable. Sugaring (Brazilian) may not be for everyone the first visit can be a little painful but Sarah and each of the other ladies that I have had for sugaring make it as painless as possible! They are quick and attentive, Sarah personally trains her staff (I have been a volunteer for her training) and they are all good at what they are doing by the time they sugar on their own. This salon is beautiful and always so clean. I have only had sugar services but they also offer skin care services that I'm sure are just as excellent! read more

Painless, very comfortable experience, cool music in the background. New location is awesome. Sarah, Cassie and Amy are all great! Highly recommend! read more

I had never tried sugaring before visiting Sugar Bar and I have to say, I am now a fan! The place itself is clean and professional, as are the employees. Kaleigh wasn't super friendly, but I'm also not very talkative in that setting; she did an efficient, thorough job with the brazilian and the sugaring process was better for my sensitive skin, so I'll definitely be returning! I took them up on the package offered at the first visit, which turns their fairly pricey service fee into a great deal. I'd advise you to take advantage of a groupon or the 15% off first-time service by using the yelp check-in feature to try them out and then go ahead and buy the package if you like it! read more

I have nothing but positive things to say about Sugar Bar. I found them on LivingSocial and I'm so glad that I did! Scheduling an appointment was easy (even with my not so flexible work schedule). The salon is very clean and comfortable and I saw Cassie who I'd recommend to everyone! She is very sweet. We talked like old friends even though it was my first appointment. She makes you feel that comfortable. She's also pretty quick which is awesome being that a Brazilian isn't the most pleasant experience. I've been back three times since my first appointment and I plan to continue. Everyone I've encountered is very friendly and welcoming and makes me feel valued as a customer. Their prices are fair and they also run great specials from time to time. read more

Sarah is amazing!! I used to get sugar waxed in Texas and couldn't find anything once I returned to Cleveland. A friend referred me and I've been going ever since. Sarah is super personable, gets to know her clients, FAST, and all around great!! I recommend her to anyone looking to try a sugar wax. read more

Terrible! The girl changed my eyebrow shape and they are not even.. I have good eyebrows naturally, how did this happen!!! I cried in the car read more

Absolutely love this place! I've been following the owner, Sarah, to wherever she's working because she is THE BEST! The space is very cute and welcoming, the staff is super friendly, and the prices are on par with the industry. For the quality of work that is done, I would HIGHLY recommend Sarah and her staff at Sugar Bar. :) read more

Kaleigh is the best. Bought a Groupon for two Brazilian sugarings and I'm a convert. She is fast, professional, and she really made me feel at ease. The sugaring itself wasn't super fun the first time, it hurt, but it was worth it. Second time we were done in half the time and there was less pain and more discomfort than anything else. Now that my groupons are up I will most definitely be back. read more

I have been seeing Sarah now for four years for facials and eyebrow sugaring. I follow her everywhere and when I found out she was opening her own salon in Lakewood, I was thrilled! Not only is she an amazing sugaring expert (my eyebrows are always shaped exactly how I like them!), but her facials are incredible. Through the facials I have received from Sarah and the products she recommends (and sells in her salon), I never have breakouts anymore. The girl knows her stuff! It took me a long time to find someone who could help me with my breakout issues and I am thrilled I found her. On top of her expertise, she is extremely personable and easy to work with. I couldn't recommend her and Sugar Bar more. read more

I have been getting sugared here for about a year and it is amazing. I was looking for a place to get sugared because waxing is too harsh on my skin. This is it. I see Caitie and she is my rock! Overall the place is cute, clean, the people are very friendly and the prices are good. read more

I started sugaring from a Groupon years ago. Sarah performed my very first sugar even before she opened her own place and I have followed her and still see her today. The environment is non threatening, professional, clean and comfortable (even considering what service you might be having done). I have tried other places and people to try and save a buck, and I will only see Sarah now, and forever. I learned the hard way that not all sugar and techniques are created equal. After you get past your first sugar you will be hooked! Lasts longer and is so much better for your skin than waxing. Enjoy and happy sugaring!! read more

Had my first brazilian sugar wax and it was great! The place is clean and she went quickly and did and awesome job. I'm sad I no longer live in the area because I'd be back every month to get sugared! read more

My west side girlfriend accidentally bought two Groupons for sugaring at this business. What a happy accident it was. She gifted one to me and we met for back-to-back appointments. The spot itself is conveniently located, with ample street parking, especially during the week. Now for the sugaring: I've had waxing before, but never sugaring. I'm not 100% sure what I thought it actually was prior to going, but it's exactly what it sounds like. Cassie did a great job explaining the process and aftercare. She was super professional and thorough. I was in/out in 15ish minutes, a little sticky, but absolutely no lingering discomfort. Much to my surprise, I had zero redness or ingrowns as time passed! My only regret was not taking advantage of the first time customer offer: 3 sugar sessions for $100. I will definitely be back! Also, wish they had an east side location, but it makes for a good excuse to get sugared and see my west side friends! read more

This review is about 2 weeks past due. I received my very first sugaring experience here and although different from hard eax, it wasnt as bad as I thought. Let me also add thatg this was my first Brazillian wax EVER!! I was so bashful, but my esthetician (who I believe was the owner) worked very quickly and got everything smooth! She said thst i done really well; was in and out in about 10 minutes. I ended up purchasing the special for 3 extra sugaring sessions before I left. read more
