This was a great experience for the family. Captain Jeff is a wonderful captain and knows his stuff. He handled the boat well and knew exactly where to go to guarantee some good catches. He took 6 of us out onto the lake and we were 1 or 2 shy of catching our limit. Excellent experience for anyone wanting a great fishing experience with a great captain!

What a fantastic trip! Captain Jeff made everything so easy. He was very flexible on scheduling our trip offering many different days of the week and times. The boat was very comfortable, even offering a cabin where the kids could take a break, eat a snack, or take a nap. SuFISHient charters took all the prep and cleanup work out of the equation. Captain Jeff had all the fishing knowledge about the lures and line lengths to use and where the fish were hiding for the day. When we got back to land, he took all the fish in, helped us get some pictures of our haul, and cleaned them! (I was delighted to have the fish cleaned for me). We ce back with 11 nice sized fish; a mix of salmon and trout. An overwhelmingly positive experience. Thanks Jeff!

We had a great time on our first trip with Captain Jeff and SuFISHient Charters! He and his first mate did a great job of tracking down the fish (they were playing hide-n-seek) and providing us with a wonderful family-friendly trip. Jeff let our six-year-old sit up with him as we were coming back in and our four-year-old was thrilled every time we landed another fish. The crew cleaned and filleted our fish for us, which was wonderful. We're looking forward to fresh fish on the grill for the next several evenings, as well as several smoked fish to snack on throughout the week. We can't wait for our next trip and would highly recommend SuFISHient Charters to anyone looking to experience the best fishing on Lake Michigan.

We had an excellent charter July 2019. Caught a lot and had a great time. Very nice clean boat and Capt Jeff did a great job.

Captain Jeff & his first mate, Mark, worked very hard to make sure that our trip was memorable.

Lots of walkable space, too, for beachcombing or watching boats cruise through the channel. Excellent views of Holland's famous "Big Red" lighthouse. Camping available, too. I tend to camp to find nature and peace, don't want to camp on a drag strip! If you don't care about camping with constant road noise, then this may be what you would like. We had company who paid for a visitor tag the one evening we were there during "shoulder" season. Most of the sites were empty, yet rangers issued a ticket for parking incorrectly! No warning! No gentle "even though we're practically empty, we will issuing tickets". The rangers patrolled though routinely never spoke to us, or acknowledge our presence. Just seemed to cop an attitude. They wouldn't even make eye contact much less talk to us. We were 4 sixty plus individuals checking out the park, not rablerousers trying to cause problems. We didn't clearly understand the strictness of the rule enforcement, would think rangers might be considerate of first time visitors especially during the slow season. Instead by ruling with a heavy hand and large fine we would not go back. While restrooms and showers were relatively clean, as campground bathrooms go, regular maintenance was being ignored, one sink and one toilet ran continuously and several of the showers had broken plumbing parts. We'd paid for two nights up front, but the rangers managed to irritate me enough that we left after one. I would hate to be there during busy season, will not return, and would never recommend staying at this campground! Found the dune behind the campground to be full of litter and just did not find anything good about our trip to Holland town or park!

The reason I'm having to drop 1 star off my review is about a week ago I took 2 rods in that had the tips broken off and they said they could fix them. After they were repaired I drove about 30 minutes to where I was planning on fishing and after about the 3rd cast I noticed the tip on the rod I was using was turned almost 180 degrees from the direction it was supposed to be facing. I checked it and it was very loose and would freely spin around on the rod tip. After a couple hours of fishing like this I decided to go to another nearby spot so I went up to my vehicle and checked the rod tip on the other rod they'd also repaired that morning. Even though it had not been used for a single cast yet the tip on that rod was also loose and able to be easily turned around. I considered driving back to Holland to have them repaired a 2nd time at this tackle store since they obviously owed me a proper repair job since I'd already paid for one but not gotten what I'd paid for, but then I got to thinking that with my gas guzzler I drive I would have spent an extra $8 on gas to drive back to Holland and then come back to the area where I was fishing. So instead I took both rods to a nearby tackle shop. They looked at the rods and assured me they could easily fix the other tackle shops repairs and make sure it was done correctly this time. They did exactly as they promised and then they really surprised me by not even charging me for the rod tip repairs. I'm sure the reason they did it at no charge was because while there I did spend a fair amount on some other supplies, but still it was a nice thing to do that they certainly did not have to do since I was prepared to pay their normal price for the repairs. I do like this tackle shop and the men that work here are really friendly so I will continue to stop in and pick up supplies and get information from them. However, I won't be bringing any rods in here for any repairs in the future since they let me down the 2 that I recently brought in and paid $5 each to have the rod tips repaired on and they were not repaired correctly.
