I go go this laundry every weekend. The environment is safe and place is cleaned. Unfortunately the number of free dryers is decreasing constant and that makes a difference. On Sunday 1/4/26 I was there a usual but I could not use a free dryer because the customer who was using it had already made arrangements with another customer. Had a great experience going here, very clean and safe. They have the option of using their app to pay for the machine and keep track of how much time is left for your load. The one thing I don't like about the app is that you have to pay a minimum of five dollars and you cannot pick a specific amount, but with that said, you can bring your dollars in, get your change, and pay that way.. the machine are newer, work great, and are efficient. read more

It's been about a year since my husband & I have become regular customers at Suds. We LOVE how clean this location is. My favorite feature is paying for machines with their app; no touching random quarters! The guy who wears glasses (night shift) is so kind. I teach, & I barely feel I have time to go wash. He's been the MVP when I'm running out of time; I never feel rushed or uncomfortable. He is super respectful & is always doing something to keep the place tidy. With this said, the 4/5 rating is due to one specific employee, Elena. She is the most rude & invasive lady. Her attitude is uncalled for. I get that in Latino/Hispanic culture, people are expected to small talk excessively, but lady...the laundry mat is empty, STOP hovering behind me as I fold my clothes. You've already cleaned the machine behind me 2 times. If I want to fold for hours, let me! Again, I chose a day & time in which I knew it'd be empty & cornered myself to not be in anyone's way. I, respectively, smile & nod when she tries to talk to me, hoping she gets the memo. This isn't the first time she's been like this with me or when my husband goes on his own. We have specifically avoided washing at earlier times because we hate running into her, but on days like these, we have to. I know management cares about this, place, because it shows. I hope people like Elena have more empathy & get the memo. No one wants to pile clothes for over 2 months, but life happens & I'd prefer not to get judged by someone who works at a place I enjoy being a customer at. P.S. They advertise 1 free dry per load but not all the dryers are free only a select few. You'll be lucky to get a free dryer. When I ask them if they could make one of the dryers free (since I paid for the wash) , sometimes they do it and sometimes they don't it depends if the owner is there or not since the man working there at night won't ever do it but if the owner is there he will. I started coming here a couple of months ago and fell in LOVE with this laundromat. First, it is cashless along with quarters and so convenient to just use the app and to know when your clothes will be finished. It's a clean facility with plenty of parking (but not much seating indoors). There's food nearby while you wait. The staff are so helpful and nice. And drying was free on all the bottom dryers. Now, just recently they changed those free dryers on the bottom to every OTHER dryer on the bottom and like another reviewer, it's caused people to fight over them. This was a perk I loved and now it's given a sour taste in my mouth. I understand inflation and market pricing but either make them all free or make everyone pay so there isn't this constant battle over them. Sud's R Us is now under new management. The owner Will is a consummate professional. The newly renovated space is clean with new washers and dryers to keep up with the times. I have never seen smart washers and dryers before and it sure makes everything so much easier. We got here at 9:30 pm and the man was trying to dismiss my husband because he thought he didn't understand Spanish and said I'm sorry you have to go afterwards and my husband said I know what you said in Spanish why do you say sorry I have to go when you just said yourself last wash is at 10:30 pm. He immediately felt embarrassed and walked away. All while he's not doing anything but standing by the door most likely trying to dismiss more people. read more

This is my second time coming here I live down the street and the 1st I came no little washers only big ones for big loads and the sign said $5 for the big wash when it was $5.50. I came again today because I saw it said free dry and I'm like ok I'm giving this spot another chance. All the medium washers were taken so I had to use the bigger ones and spent already 11.50 and I'm thinking well at least I'll have a free dryer with nope only to find out ONLY THE BOTTOM DRYERS were free the tops dryers are 25 cents for 5 mins. Make it make sense don't believe the signs they post, it should say bottom dryers free. I will not be returning to this place. While washing my clothes the machine broke down mid wash, I asked for assistance and customer service was rude and acted upset that I asked for assistance. As if this didn't already upset me I also had to pay for the dryer while other laundromats in Downey have FREE DRY. I just moved into town and I was looking for a clean place to do laundry. This place exceeded my expectations! I like how the machines do not smell bad like other laundromats. You can tell the place is very well taken care of. I think my favorite part was when the gentleman that works there helped me with loading/unloading my clothes. I have been coming here way before they remodeled the place it's been amazing experience, some of the employees even help you fold and they are really nice and helpful one of the employees gave me a really good tip on how to fold my towels and my clothes to make it smaller. Just finished our laundry here at 6;00pm on a Saturday night. This place is always spotless, impeccably clean. The service here is top notch. They are always asking if you need anything and if they can help. They go beyond any service I have ever encountered before at any other laundromat. Today she asked a lady if she needed an extra basket for clean clothes and we have come before and the owner offered anyone doing laundry fresh fruit from a fruit cart vendor that he had already paid him. The prices are comparable to other laundromats except for the dryers which are a quarter hi go her in price but well worth it. If you use the app you get money back. read more
