I had my first wrap today. I lost a total of 13.5 inches total (they took 8 or 10 measurements, so it's not as noticeable as you might think). You really can't argue with the immediate results. Now to see if it lasts! The facility is easy to get to and was relatively clean. There is NO PRIVACY, though. You are, of course, wrapped in your own room, but you receive the rest of the treatment (ie, exercise while wearing the wrap) in a large room which is basically open to the lobby. When I was there, some guy with a baby kept coming back to see his girlfriend, and it was really distracting and uncomfortable. They did have a selection of movies and TV shows on DVD, which was nice. Overall, it was a decent experience, and if the results last I will probably go back again. read more

This is one of the few Suddenly Slender/Suddenly Slimmer locations left in the US. I have used this bandage-style body wrap for years and it is still the most effective for quick slimming. The owner was very nice, did a snug wrap and was conscious of my being comfortable throughout. I felt much tighter and smoother after. It lasted at least a couple weeks and will last longer if you maintain diet and exercise. There is debate on whether you're losing fat or water weight, but for me it doesn't matter, as long as I tighten and tone up before a vacation or outdoor social event. I recently visited the Suddenly Slimmer salon in Alpharetta. I should have trusted my gut when I saw that they don't even have a sign over their door, but I couldn't back out because if I did, I would have had to pay half the price of the wrap I made an appointment for. Let me just say this. The place is a dump! I didn't tell the girl (who claimed to be the manager for both salons - one in Alpharetta and one in Norcross) that I had had a wrap several times before at another salon in metro ATL. I wanted to test her. First the ad says that you "lose 10 to 30 inches in 2 hours or your next one is free!" I lost 8. The wraps kept coming off and I didn't get the full hour of mineral solution. When you are done, you go back to the little room you are initially wrapped in, and are told to dress. No towel to dry oneself, and you are brought a balled up used plastic grocery bag to put your wet belongings in! I was appalled to say the least! The woman smelled of perspiration and her breath was just as bad. She was not wearing any kind of professional salon uniform and was ill-kept and badly groomed. The equipment is FILTHY! And that is not an extreme enough word. The whole place smelled badly and the bandages they wrap you with have an odor like a dirty old sponge you wash dishes with and need to throw out (which usually means it's full of bacteria and unsanitary). My body smelled just that way when I was unwrapped, too. At the end, yes, I was told the glorious grand total inch loss of a whole 8 inches and given a whopping bill of $165.00! Not only will I never go back there again, but I am going to call the health department and ask that they make an inpromptu suprise visit for an inspection and give them a citation. I was thinking about that show on cable where the English woman goes around visiting hair salons and whips managed and maintained ones into shape. If ever a place needed her touch, it's this one. I couldn't wait to get home, take a shower, and wash off that smell. If you ever want to visit a very nice salon and live in the Northeastern part of Atlanta, I suggest you visit Slender Spa. They are far more professional, don't "Honey" and "Sweetie" you to death, are sanitary, and have thought of everything. No, I don't work there, I live in the area and they are just down the street. I should have just gone there as I always have, but see what happens when you try something different? What a disappointment and lesson learned. read more

They didn't measure me before or after. Privacy was virtually nil (the dressing room curtain didn't even close all the way), the dressing room they put me in was within plain view of the exercise area where two women and a MAN were exercising. After I was wrapped up in soaking wet bandages, I had to wait for about 15 minutes one of them to finish before I could start, even though I had an appointment. They had me walk up and down the short hallway in the meantime. And I was left exercising right next to some strange guy while wrapped up like a mummy and leaking cloudy water into baggies on my feet. In addition, the experience of leaking icky water into baggies while you stand in them and work out on the cross-country ski machine was not terribly pleasant, and I have no idea what, if anything it accomplished. I have been to this location to have a total of 3 wraps done, I have had the Ultra Wrap and the Supreme Wrap. It has really helped the vision of my stretch marks and cellulite, my cellulite is basically gone and you can barely see my stretch marks except for the real deep ones which they will never go away anyways. The first time I went I believe I lost like 14-15 inches all over my body which is awesome. I have noticed a big difference, plus I didn't buy a package so I have done my wraps at random times and still have seen a difference. The girl that wrapped me was very polite and knowledgeable b/c I was very nervous my first time and she made me very comfortable. I will defiantly do them again, especially come time for my trip to Mexico!!! :) read more

Like a trip to the gynecologist and a route canal all at once! If you have a little pooch to take care of it may be fine, but if you are doing this in conjunction with weight loss and looking for something to help you feel better about yourself as you diet - don't bother! The woman who took care of me was not the least bit warm or welcoming. She opened the door (apparently they keep it locked on Sundays) and then disappeared leaving me to wonder around looking for where I was supposed to go. When I found her she was just sitting in the treatment room. Apparently I wore the wrong knickers so that annoyed her. Also, it was very uncomfortable standing there in my bra & panties while this unfriendly woman (who, by the way, weighed less than my daughter did when she was hospitalized for anorexia) meandered around the room getting ready. She wrapped one of my legs higher up than the other which meant the wraps on the higher wrapped leg rubbed against the bare skin on the other thigh when I did the glider excercise so now I have really bad chafing that I can't treat because I'm not supposed to use lotions or creams for a couple days. Plus she was supposed to wrap my face, but didn't and by that point I was too upset and just wanted the whole experience over with. Yes, I lost inches but it wasn't worth the unpleasant experience and the whole thing was a colossal waste of money. Instead of feeling better about myself, I now feel depressed and ready for a good cry! read more
