Came to Sudbrink Oral Surgery for my son who needed a tooth removed they called a head of time to go over his health history then we came in for an appointment, they scheduled us about a week later for his surgery. The nursing staff was so friendly as well as Dr. Sudbrink. Their billing department called me a head of time to go over my insurance and let me know how much to bring the day of his surgery which was very informative. The surgery went great and my son recovered quickly. Any time I called my questions were answered right away. Definitely recommend read more

I got my wisdom teeth removed today at Sudbrink Oral Surgery! It's a nice office behind the Hershey Tanger Outlets. Over the summer, I had a consultation appointment and was given all of the necessary information for my procedure. My surgery was scheduled for first thing this morning, and I was taken care of right away. Ashton and Jacqueline were both extremely friendly and more than happy to answer my questions. Dr. Sudbrink was also very personable during the time I remember conversing with him before he administered my anesthesia. Everything seemed to go smoothly, and recovery has been treating me well. It was a short and sweet outpatient procedure, so I was in and out of the office in an hour! To top things off, they called my house a few hours afterwards to check in on me. My only suggestion for them would be to offer the patient some water or ice chips before they leave. I was quite swollen and numb, so maybe that's why they didn't bother. Otherwise, it was a great experience (under the circumstances), and I'd recommend them to anyone in need of oral surgery! read more

I am so extremely frustrated with this place that I have decided to write this review and file a complaint with the Attorney Generals office. I would not recommend this place. I had 2 wisdom teeth extracted this past July. Prior to surgery, they gave me the cost of $804.00 which they made me pay prior to the surgery. I was fine with this. I did not have dental insurance at the time so I purchased a dental savings plan. The $804 I owed was the amount after the savings plan. The savings plan saved me about $600. 10 days after the surgery, my teeth, gums, tongue, cheek and chin were numb but at the same time getting sharp shooting pains so I called for a follow up appointment. I asked how much the appointment would cost me prior to scheduling it because I didn't want to spend a fortune. I was starting my new job in 2 weeks and my dental insurance would kick in my first day. The assistant on the phone told me there would be no charge for the appointment, that a follow up was included in the surgery price. So of course I went to the appointment. The surgeon did not tell me anything I didn't already know. I was suffering from nerve damage and it would hopefully go away with time....but no guarantees. He took a panoramic X-ray to confirm this. They didn't schedule a follow up appointment or anything, just told me to hope for the best. The very next day I received a bill in the mail for $377.00. I called the billing office right away and was told the person I needed to speak to, Christy, wouldn't be in until Wednesday. The woman who I talked to said it appeared that Christy had a list of the old fees and they had upped their fees and Christy didn't charge me enough so these were fees I would owe. So, I waited 2 more days until it was Wednesday and called back. I spoke to Christy who said she would call the dental savings plans to see if they would cover more of the expense and call me right back. Two days went by and nothing. I called the office that day (Friday afternoon). I was told she was gone for the day but they would leave her a message to get back to me. The next week came and went without a return phone call. The end of that week I called again and left a message. I have since left 2 more voicemails for other people and no one has called me back. Yesterday, I received another bill in the mail. This time they added on $114.00 for the x-Ray at my follow up appointment, even though I was assured there would be no charge. Had they told me at the appointment I would be charged this, I would have declined the service. I called yesterday at 3:00 and left another voicemail, and of course no one has called me back. How many times does a patient need to call before they will call back?? And why should I have to pay $377 more because they upped their fees and they quoted me their old prices? Very poor customer service in the billing office. read more

I was in and out of the hospital, my finances were being transferred from CT, and I received statements from the dr's office about this $33. The last statement I received was on March 31st stating that if I did not make a payment that they would "pursue further legal action." March 31st... this was a Tuesday. I was served today with a Civil Hearing for this bill stating that I had to pay $183.50!!!! This office NEVER called me to get a payment, they only sent statments. The last statement sent was LESS than a month before they filed charges. According to the District, I was told that it takes at LEAST a week for them to process the charges. Which means they were NEVER going to give me the change to pay this balance. I called the office today and told them that I would GLADLY come in and pay the $33 charge - and I was informed that I have to pay $269 because of the court fees. DO NOT EVER GO TO THIS DENTIST!!!! They are all about money and care NOTHING about their patient.

But once I got to get my tooth extracted someplace else the dentist was very professional and subscribed a small number of pain pills to get me through the oncoming days. I returned to this dentist, with absolutely no pain and I expressed to her that I was very disappointed with my last visit and hell she left me to walk out of her office, in unforgettable agonizing pain and surely she remembered me and said that she remembered seeing my review???? Funny how I am this woman's first review. So I'm sitting there in my appointment listening to her Indian music, and her endearing personality how she looked down at me and said that her idea of ibuprofen and Advil together are quite remarkable! I explained to her that I had a right to not be in pain as any person with an extraction or a root canal has ever experienced it's something that's pretty traumatizing, and extremely painful. Instead of doing the right thing and prescribing some thing that could actually help a person because that is the point of being a "doctor" she looks at you like you were some pill junkie. Absolutely not the case with me. I'm just the kind of person that when I have a procedure done or have any sort of surgery that's invasive I'm expected to be in pain and the pain is unbearable to me. This woman was absolutely so rude to me that she had your Dassie to say "hi I'm actually surprised that you came back" I absolutely do not recommend this woman for anything but teeth cleanings. I don't know why anyone would want to get into the medical field if they didn't actually want to help people so I had to put her on the spot and ask her what kind of dentist she was if she doesn't do root canal's and doesn't do tooth extractions and she said she's just a basic dentist. Collect peoples money and sit around listening to music all day long with a horrible bedside manner is what this woman's work is. It's so interesting how so many dentists and people in the dental field Wonder why people fear and have phobias against going to the dentist and why they put it off. I have had dentists in the past I've been doing work on my teeth since I'm a teenager and I have never experienced a dentist like this in my life the past 30 years I have always been taken care of and never looked at like I was some sort of unreasonable, demanding patient. The location is beautiful and there are beautiful sunrises, sunsets and adorable deer to admire daily. Prior to being admitted, I was at a hospital in PA. I was not given much information about the program. There was a beautiful Cardinal that was perched in a tree when I arrived at the gate in a taxi. That helped me realize I was in the right place at the right time. Thank you. Much more to come.... There are so Many well-planned and thorough experiential activities. There's a ropes course, and very cool team building activities in the "barn". There is yoga once a week, somatic healing, trauma therapy, and an incredibly helpful Dialectal behavioral Therapy (DBT) four-week course/therapy processing etc. Cognitive Behavioral therapy (CBT) is also utilized. Additionally, some very cool drama therapy sessions are sprinkled throughout the schedule. The food is good and the culinary team is very friendly (and talented). Provisions are made for vegetarians and those with food intolerances, etc. The staff and leadership team are stellar. The nurses are excellent and they genuinely care. I really found the psychiatric nurse practitioner (Nicole) to be extremely helpful and extremely knowledgeable about medications. If you are interested, a non-denominational Sunday service is streamed and available for viewing. (The website for the ranch is extremely informative.) While I was at The Ranch, I was experiencing night terrors most nights. The nursing team and the behavioral health techs (BHTs) really demonstrated empathy and concern. Once a week, a staff member makes a nicotine/postsge/Target run. They have lists you can fill out and as long as you have a credit card on file, you're good to shop. Amazon orders may be sent by family, etc. If you need to place an amazon order yourself, you can request that your assigned therapist assist you. Cell phones aren't available - there are phones in each cabin. Every day, you may sign up for "phone time." You may keep snacks in a closet within your cabin. Everything must be nut-free. If you are wanting to have a watch with you, make sure it doesn't have camera access. Regular watches and kids basic digital watches work.

I went to Sudbrink Oral Surgery for all four of my wisdom teeth removed with seer impaction. I was supposed to get them out 3 years ago but fear held me back but after severe infections, I realized it was finally time. I heard a lot of amazing things about Sudbrink and felt right at home the minute I stepped into the office. I went in for my consultation and they immediately scheduled me within a month to complete the surgery. I just got it done today and wow let me tell you they were AMAZING! Not only was Patricia and Nicky some of the sweetest and most comforting nurses I have ever encountered in my 20 years but Dr. Sudbrink made the entire procedure incredibly comfortable. Prior to the surgry Nicky and Patricia talked to me and made me feel more and more comfortable and let me know that they truly cared. Unfortunately, due to the amount of impaction and forming into my jaw bone, I am forced to go back in February to get the other side removed but thanks to these amazing ladies and gentleman I am almost looking forward to it. Thank you guys for making this stressful and nerve-wracking experience one of the easiest and as relaxing as possible procedures! While getting wisdom teeth out is never fun, the people at Sudbrink Oral Surgery sure made the experience as painless as possible. After some prior issues with our insurance company, we were already a bit fed up with planning this operation. Thankfully, they got us in on a date perfect for us and everything went as smooth as possible. On the actual day of operation, I was beyond nervous. I have a fear of needles (ivs) that runs in our family. I can honestly say now that I had nothing to be afraid of. Dr. V and the staff operating on me were both very professional and very comforting. I felt safe the entire time. The entire thing only took about 30-40 minutes tops, and I woke up laughing because I couldn't believe it was already over. After an explaination of how I should care myself post-op, I was able to leave about 10 minutes after. It's now 3 days after and I didn't have to use any of the painkillers prescribed to me. The only thing I did need was gauze pads and some Advil. The office gave us one extra gauze pad, but I'd recommend they give out more than one after the surgery just in case. I've heard plenty of wisdom teeth horror stories, so I'm glad we went to the right place to get the procedure done. It was efficient, safe, and very hassle free overall read more

When the time came to get my wisdom teeth out, I was faced with trying to find the right oral surgeon for me. With many local surgeons being booked for several months, Sudbrink was able to provide me with an appointment the next week! The process was super easy and clear. I visited the location in Ephrata and my surgery was performed by Dr. Vakkas. Dr. Vakkas was extremely friendly and provided all of the information that I needed for the surgery and recovery. I showed up for my appointment, was taken into the room at scheduled time, and was out in very quick fashion. The nurses were very kind and always smiled, which reassured me as I was a bit nervous with the use of the aesthetic. The instructions for the recovery process were verbally given to me and also typed on a piece of paper for me to reference after I was home. My overall experience with Sudbrink Oral Surgery was positive from the time I had my first consultation to the day of my wisdom teeth extraction surgery. On the day of the surgery, I was a little nervous; however, the staff made me feel comfortable and at ease. I brought back to the operating room by Ashton who was extremely nice and explained the process for me. Patrycja is the nurse who guided me to the post-op room and took care of me. She was the sweetest woman and I can't say enough about her! Although she does this everyday, she made me feel as though I was her one and only patient because of the time and thought she put into my care. Dr. Vakkas was the surgeon who performed the extraction. He was thoughtful and respectful to me along with his staff members. My recovery was smooth not only because of Patrycja's detailed post-op instructions and tips, but also because of Dr. Vakkas' great work! I had to have one of my wisdom tooth removed so I did a quick search on Google & the Yelp page for this place came up with mostly all 5 star, glowing reviews with good reason! This place is AMAZING!!! I called on a Friday and was given an appt. for the following Tuesday! I didn't have insurance & the price was pretty reasonable for what it was! If I ever need an oral surgery in the future, I would go back without hesitation! I recently had wisdom teeth removed and had put it off for a very long time. After my experience with Sudbrink Oral Surgery I wish I would have done it sooner and not waited until I was in pain and it became an emergency. They quickly scheduled me for a consultation and surgery was scheduled within two days. I visited two separate offices for my consultation and surgery (Hershey & Ephrata) which are clean and all staff that I interacted with (Nikki & Jen) were extremely professional, friendly and put me at ease. It was a quick procedure and I experienced very little discomfort. They called me later that day to check in to see how I was doing and will follow up again (2-weeks following surgery). My daughter had 3 teeth removed and everything went smoothly. The service was fast and every detail was discussed. The billing department even contacted my insurance and they told me exactly what I would owe. I even paid online. I had several reminders by text about important information that I needed to know before the procedure.The surgery was fast and everyone was very friendly. Jacqueline and Jen were great and they even brought a blanket for her because she was cold. Dr. Sudbrink was friendly and confident which I liked. This office should be ashamed of their business practices. Sudbrink attempted to charge a 10-year old $390.00 out-of-pocket for an x-ray. This practice lied & said the insurance company denied the claim. The insurance company exposed their fraud by stating an approval was never requested. When they were confronted with their lies, they agreed to finally submit a request for services. Upon submittal, they sent the wrong code & no medical documentation. Shavonne the Office Manager from the Ephrata office then smugly relayed it was denied. They will go to many extents to deny a child much needed services. That says a lot about their integrity. I had a wonderful experience at my recent consultation to have my wisdom teeth extracted. I was extremely nervous about having surgery but the staff and Dr were very polite and knowledgeable and really made me feel at ease. The billing department contacted both my medical and dental insurance for coverage and called me to go over my expected out of pocket cost in detail. saw dr sudbrink and later vakkas for two wisdom removals. they were so friendly, nice, reassuring, and gentle. they called me a few days later to personally check up on how I was doing. they are the nicest doctors I have been to. they really care about patients. I was referred to Sudbrink Oral Surgery by my dentist for my wisdom teeth. This was my first time, but I'm thankful they meet you for a consultation first. I was nervous and definitely didn't want to just walk into a surgery with a doctor I had never met. If you don't have your own dental insurance they offer their own as well and I'd say it's priced pretty decent. $245 for the HH and you can add additional members. This includes 2 cleanings and fluoride treatments, 1 x-ray a year, and some type of special x-ray at 3 years. Child plans are also available. So far this has been a good place to go. I think they may have given me TMJ though, so just watch how long your mouth stays open.

After treatment, I was given a bonded lingual retainer behind my two front teeth. Over time, I noticed my teeth beginning to shift again. I returned to the office to discuss my options and was provided with a single Essix retainer. When that retainer eventually broke, I reached out by email hoping to obtain a replacement. I was told there wasn't much they could do to help me, which was disappointing since I wanted to maintain the results of my treatment. Unfortunately, my teeth continued to shift to the point that I ultimately had to start a completely new treatment (Invisalign) in 2024, which I completed in 2026. This meant additional time, expense, and inconvenience years after my original orthodontic treatment. I understand that teeth can naturally move over time and that retainers require maintenance, but I wish I had received more comprehensive long-term guidance and support when I sought help. My experience left me feeling that maintaining my results became my responsibility without adequate assistance from the practice

That said, I cannot speak highly enough about Dr. Kiesling and his dental practice. Before yesterday, I have appreciated the semi-annual services I've consumed.
