I went to Sudbrink Oral Surgery for all four of my wisdom teeth removed with seer impaction. I was supposed​ to get them out 3 years ago but fear held me back but after severe infections, ​I realized it was finally time. I heard a lot of amazing things​ about Sudbrink and felt right at home the minute I​ stepped into the office. ​I went in for my consultation and they immediately​​ scheduled me within a month to complete the surgery. I just got it done today​ and wow let me tell you they were AMAZING! Not only was Patricia​ and Nicky some of the sweetest and most comforting nurses I have ever encountered in my 20 years but Dr. Sudbrink made the entire procedure incredibly​ comfortable. Prior to the surgry Nicky and Patricia talked to me and made me feel more and more comfortable​ and let me know that they truly cared. Unfortunately​, due to the amount of impaction and forming into my jaw bone, ​I am forced to go back in February​ to get the other side removed but thanks to these amazing ladies and gentleman I am almost looking forward to it. While getting wisdom teeth out is never fun, the people at Sudbrink Oral Surgery sure made the experience as painless as possible. After some prior issues with our insurance company, we were already a bit fed up with planning this operation. Thankfully, they got us in on a date perfect for us and everything went as smooth as possible. On the actual day of operation, I was beyond nervous. I have a fear of needles (ivs) that runs in our family. I can honestly say now that I had nothing to be afraid of. Dr. V and the staff operating on me were both very professional and very comforting. I felt safe the entire time. The entire thing only took about 30-40 minutes tops, and I woke up laughing because I couldn't believe it was already over. After an explaination of how I should care myself post-op, I was able to leave about 10 minutes after. It's now 3 days after and I didn't have to use any of the painkillers prescribed to me. The only thing I did need was gauze pads and some Advil. The office gave us one extra gauze pad, but I'd recommend they give out more than one after the surgery just in case. I visited the location in Ephrata and my surgery was performed by Dr. Vakkas. Dr. Vakkas was extremely friendly and provided all of the information that I needed for the surgery and recovery. I showed up for my appointment, was taken into the room at scheduled time, and was out in very quick fashion. The nurses were very kind and always smiled, which reassured me as I was a bit nervous with the use of the aesthetic. The instructions for the recovery process were verbally given to me and also typed on a piece of paper for me to reference after I was home. My overall experience with Sudbrink Oral Surgery was positive from the time I had my first consultation to the day of my wisdom teeth extraction surgery. On the day of the surgery, I was a little nervous; however, the staff made me feel comfortable and at ease. I brought back to the operating room by Ashton who was extremely nice and explained the process for me. Patrycja is the nurse who guided me to the post-op room and took care of me. She was the sweetest woman and I can't say enough about her! Although she does this everyday, she made me feel as though I was her one and only patient because of the time and thought she put into my care. Dr. Vakkas was the surgeon who performed the extraction. He was thoughtful and respectful to me along with his staff members. I had to have one of my wisdom tooth removed so I did a quick search on Google & the Yelp page for this place came up with mostly all 5 star, glowing reviews with good reason! This place is AMAZING!!! I called on a Friday and was given an appt. for the following Tuesday! I asked the receptionist to call me if an earlier appt. became available & within 1/2 an hour, she was kind enough to call me back to let me know that an appt. for tuesday morning was available! They are, hands down, the best oral surgeons ever!! The surgery to remove my wisdom tooth was quick & nearly painless! They prescribed me pain meds but I ended up not needing them! I didn't have insurance & the price was pretty reasonable for what it was! If I ever need an oral surgery in the future, I would go back without hesitation! I recently had wisdom teeth removed and had put it off for a very long time. After my experience with Sudbrink Oral Surgery I wish I would have done it sooner and not waited until I was in pain and it became an emergency. They quickly scheduled me for a consultation and surgery was scheduled within two days. I visited two separate offices for my consultation and surgery (Hershey & Ephrata) which are clean and all staff that I interacted with (Nikki & Jen) were extremely professional, friendly and put me at ease. It was a quick procedure and I experienced very little discomfort. They called me later that day to check in to see how I was doing and will follow up again (2-weeks following surgery). My daughter had 3 teeth removed and everything went smoothly. The service was fast and every detail was discussed. The billing department even contacted my insurance and they told me exactly what I would owe. I even paid online. I had several reminders by text about important information that I needed to know before the procedure.The surgery was fast and everyone was very friendly. Jacqueline and Jen were great and they even brought a blanket for her because she was cold. Dr. Sudbrink was friendly and confident which I liked. This office should be ashamed of their business practices. Sudbrink attempted to charge a 10-year old $390.00 out-of-pocket for an x-ray. This practice lied & said the insurance company denied the claim. The insurance company exposed their fraud by stating an approval was never requested. When they were confronted with their lies, they agreed to finally submit a request for services. Upon submittal, they sent the wrong code & no medical documentation. Shavonne the Office Manager from the Ephrata office then smugly relayed it was denied. They will go to many extents to deny a child much needed services. That says a lot about their integrity. I had a wonderful experience at my recent consultation to have my wisdom teeth extracted. I was extremely nervous about having surgery but the staff and Dr were very polite and knowledgeable and really made me feel at ease. The billing department contacted both my medical and dental insurance for coverage and called me to go over my expected out of pocket cost in detail. saw dr sudbrink and later vakkas for two wisdom removals. they were so friendly, nice, reassuring, and gentle. they called me a few days later to personally check up on how I was doing. they are the nicest doctors I have been to. they really care about patients. I went both times to the first appointment of the day so there was no waiting I was in and out in maybe 45 min. I was referred to Sudbrink Oral Surgery by my dentist for my wisdom teeth. This was my first time, but I'm thankful they meet you for a consultation first. I was nervous and definitely didn't want to just walk into a surgery with a doctor I had never met.
