Everything we had to eat during our visit was incredible and beautiful! The service was extremely friendly, and very helpful in figuring out the dishes and giving suggestions. Would love to return in the future, 10/10 recommend if you're in Mexico City!!

In a quiet neighborhood in CDMX, Sud777 is a beautiful restaurant run by an ex-Noma alum, Chef Edgar Núñez. It is a magnificent 2 floor restaurant: Sud777 on top, Hokusai on the first floor. Here are words from the website : "Located in the heart of Pedregal, Sud 777 is a restaurant that honors the tradition of a neighborhood designed by prominent urban planners and architects. Since its opening in 2008, it has been part of the culinary offerings of southern Mexico City due to the gastronomic proposal of chef Edgar Núñez who has positioned himself worldwide for his prodigious technique and his Mexican vegetable cuisine....." How was my meal here? Very good. There were 2 dishes that didn't work for me: the green peach and mint (a bit green for the peach) and the cabbage, cuitlacoche and truffle (the vinegar soup was powerful). Otherwise I loved everything else. Chef Nuñez came by to serve the oyster and beetroot plate: orange and Mexican cheese essence. It's a cool feeling to visit a restaurant and the chef comes by to plate a dish. Service was very good and the plates yummy. I loved that the vegetables and ingredients used were grown locally or organic-- I could taste the difference. I tried the juices pairing this meal and was unimpressed. I will go for the wine pairing next time. Tip: If you are queasy about trying new ingredients in unfamiliar combinations, the tasting menu that I sampled is daring and different. Mexican flavors are wildly delicious and it may just be that my palate is not accustomed, yet. I loved my experience here though and will come back. End of Yelp.

This restaurant is in the world's top 100 restaurants and I'm not sure if it truly lived up to the hype. I'll say that the setting of the restaurant is beautifully done. I felt like I was transported to an oasis away from the urban jungle that Mexico City is. We came here for a food tasting with the wine pairing. This was $$$$ and I felt that the food and service did not merit the price point. The service was mediocre for fine dining as the waiters had rehearsed lines for each plating. They couldn't fully answer questions when we asked more. In the fine dining setting/Michelin star world, I expect the service to be bar none. The dishes from the tasting menu were very vegetable heavy. I'll say that the crab dish and goat dish were the best. The rest were not memorable. I probably would not recommend this for splurging on a night out as I suspect that there are better fine dining restaurants in Mexico City.

Sud 777 is currently the No. 70 best restaurant on The Worlds 50 Best list, and currently the No. 31 best restaurant on Latin Americas 50 Best list. Definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Mexico City. The restaurant is gorgeous, and a hidden gem. Super chic, and modern design. The service is impeccable. The food incredible. Some of the most unique and delicious plates I've had.

We did the tasting menu and it was amazing! The dishes were so creative in how they presented their ingredients! My favorites were the cherry tomatoes with the olive cracker and the cod but really we enjoyed every dish! The staff were very friendly and accommodating and were able to explain things in English to us. I will absolutely be coming back here next time I'm in CDMX.

    Poblano risotto. Delicious.

The restaurant is a bit cold even when sitting inside as it's an indoor/outdoor mixed concept for seating. It's very fancy. This is a vegetarian review. The poblano risotto is amazing. It's quite tasty. The mole soup is also splendid. The nopales salad is not great. It's over salty due to the cheese added and not as complex in flavour as the other dishes. The order in which the food comes out is different than expected. Salad came out during the end. Service was decent as they come by often, know English in case you don't know Spanish. Lots of delicious drink options too including non alcoholic. Bathrooms are clean as well. Decor is lovely.

Sud 777 is the best restaurant in Mexico City, and we have eaten at all the great ones, including the lauded Pujols. Sud 777 is located in a modern building is that's an architectural marvel, enhancing the dining experience with a zen like aesthetic. The bar, handled by the iconic Rogelio and the effervescent Raul, started our evening at Sud 777 with warmth and a whole lot of fun. The space is so beautiful I expected stuffy, but Rogelio and Raul made us feel so welcomed. Led across a bridge to our table, I was hushed by the beautiful surroundings. Sud 777 could get away with just good food, but the kitchen at Sud 777 is superb, multiple Michelin star worthy. My Turkey molé was unbelievable. Grilled octopus was incredible. The fideo lip smacking delicious. Desserts, wines, and liquors were all top notch. Service rivaled anything in Paris. Sud 777 is one of the best restaurants in the world.

Wow. Absolutely amazing. Room is comfortable and serene. Service was outstanding. Attentive but not overbearing and we did not feel rushed. We had the tasting menu with the wine pairings. Interesting combinations of foods with a variety of flavors and textures, paired well with lovely wines. Definitely recommend.

Sud 777 is #12 on Latin America's best restaurants list and #52 on world list... but that means nothing until you finally get to experience it! This restaurant is located outside of the city, so with rush hour traffic it can take up to 45 minutes to get there, so plan in advance! I had to call them as I was rushing over in my Uber as I thought i would be 30 minutes late.. In fact, I ended up arriving on time as my Uber driver took outside roads to avoid the traffic in Mexico City. The restaurant is beautifully built and decorated. Sud 777 sits atop a Japanese restaurant, but it feels like its own little resort world, with the breeze freely circulating the air. Great atmosphere for a romantic date night! As I was a solo diner, I was seated in the back corner, so I enjoyed people-watching throughout my meal. To my surprise, Chef Edgar Nunez himself came out to personally greet me and introduce the green bean aguachile and topped it off with the green apple granita. I thought that was a nice touch - I didn't see him do that for other guests, so I did feel a little special on that one. I noticed that much of the menu was vegetarian-focused, other than the crab dish, blood sausage, and goat tacos. But every dish was so delicious, it didn't really bother me! I had mamey fruit for the first time - they came out and brought the shell of the fruit to explain. I always love learning on my food adventures! The goat tacos were my favorite, especially wrapped in shiso leaf. They brought out a second rendition of the taco with tortillas, calling it the "Mexican version." I liked the habanero paste that the tacos came with, too. The service was excellent throughout my meal, and they timed each dish very well, with adequate rest time between courses but not too much. As others have noted, they have rehearsed their lines for explaining each dish, but that's expected, as this is a Mexican restaurant, after all. I'm grateful they were able to speak English! Definitely worth visiting and trying the tasting menu!

I'm glad I made it here, the space is cool - Im assuming you see many articles about it already. We were just here for drinks at first, the shot glass are much bigger than the city, tequila shot also came with some kind of house made chaser shot; mezcal came with grasshopper (unexpected). ATL cocktail was a bit sweet so I added another shot of mezcal in it... Ended up trying the Baby Corn and Corn Smut. Baby Corn was delicious, the sauce was so so good! Roasted Corn Smut Huitlacoche - it was huge, I called it Mommy Corn! It was very soft. We didn't love the sauces came with it (pineapple, apple, Hollandaise - weird it's like brunch sauce?) but they served 5 different salsas for tables and they compliment nicely. Glad we ventured out! Should have just done Giraldi next door...

We had dinner at Tetetlán a few weeks. We registered for a special experience - a tour of Casa Pedregal, following by a mezcal and dinner tasting at Tetetlán - an amazing experience. The food we had at Tetetlán was all very good: ceviche, tetela, taco, and a vegan chocolate mousse dessert. But the design and ambiance of the restaurant is really what blew us away. The restaurant has glass floors over the land's purple-black volcanic rock and has touches of color, amazing woodwork, plants throughout, walls of art and architecture books... It's a really incredible space - gorgeous. And the service is great, too. Don't miss the great shop at the entrance to the restaurant. If you're in the area, definitely stop by for a meal.
