The deli is just east off Main in a standalone building with a lovely brand new sign! There's plenty of parking across Main, and I think there's even a free shuttle around town on Sat and Sun. Their creative sandwiches are huge and fresh, made to order and worth a couple minutes wait. We got the Capisce: luscious pistachio pesto layered over thick slices of ripe tomato, generous slabs of fresh mozzarella, sliced red onion, and tender greens with balsamic vinaigrette between slices of their wonderful thin crunchy toasted focaccio bread. A refreshing vegetarian creation! And we had the Flora, because it starts with a bright green-olive tapenade which i just love! over those sweet juicy tomatoes, thick fresh mozz, a generous layer of richly flavorful thin-sliced dry-cured prosciutto ham, and lovely big hunks of roasted sweet red peppers, with their thinly sliced red onion and tender fresh greens with tangy vinaigrette, held by that perfectly lightly crunchy toasted fresh-tasting bread. We grabbed soft beverages from the cooler in their market and enjoyed our dinner with the concert. An interesting selection of grocery products, also produce, and a freezer of meats and fish, including their own branded bratwurst or sweet Italian pork sausage or chorizo, and pork sausages with duck or wild-boar or venison, and sliced leg of lamb and wild salmon! At this weekly outdoor concert (Fri and Sat), there's shaded tables set up, and they welcome you to grab food and drink here or at any of the surrounding places. We had just started a cool spell of perfect weather, so this was everything: good food, good weather, good times in historic Sykesville!

People do seem to respect the 90MIN seating window though so you should be able to find a seat. You order and pay at the counter first and then they give you a table number card. This is how they find you to serve your food. I ordered a regular matcha latte, a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich on croissant bread and their famous croffle. I loved their matcha latte. It's pre-sweetened so no need to add extra vanilla syrup or anything. This does not taste like a traditional matcha, which in my opinion tastes like dirt. This is a sweeter, dessert like matcha. I didn't care for the bacon, egg and cheese sandwich. It was kind of dry and it tasted like something was missing. The croffle was amazing. It has a nutty, pecan like taste to it and it was topped with vanilla gelato and blueberries. I couldn't really taste the maple syrup but it was delicious nonetheless.

I really enjoyed the cappuccino, and I like that they offer agave as a sweetener. That said, I do wish the cappuccino had a bolder coffee flavor. On its own, it leaned a bit too milky for my taste. However, once I added an extra shot, it made a big difference, I got the richer coffee flavor I was looking for along with an extra boost. The temperature was good, but I did notice that even when I requested it extra hot, it came out the same each time, which was a bit puzzling. Overall, I'd give it 4 stars. It's a nice spot, and I would definitely come back if I'm in the area.

Surprisingly pleased with my Walker's experience!…read more I met with a former student. Since I got there a little early, I ordered a small pizza as an appetizer. The waiter didn't quite know what I meant, but did get the request to slice it in smaller rectangles rather than triangle slices. It was light and tasty. However, I'm pretty sure I'd be very hungry if I had ordered it as my meal. That was followed by the beer can chicken cobb salad. It was just the right size! We sat outside. Since Walker's is at the end of the strip, they have outdoor seating on the sidewalk. No fault of the establishment, when the sun went down, it got cold quickly! Now, I'm inclined to try the other Table and Tap restaurant a couple miles west.

Hubby and I met friends here for double date night. We were greeted by a kind hostess who quoted a 30-35 minute wait. They do not accept reservations. We were seated within 15 minutes and greeted by Jackson. This restaurant was spacious, clean, and had a semi woodsy décor. Collectively, we ordered the following. Winter Daiquiri Walter's Old Fashioned Shots (Titos, Crown Royal, Lemon Drop, Green Tea) Sparkling Cosmo Black Manhattan Smoked Wings (Buffalo) Pan Seared Salmon Fish & Chips Cajun Crab Cake Sandwich The beverages did what they were ordered to do. They gave hefty pours and we appreciated it. The Smoked Buffalo Wings were pretty yum. Great portion size. Tasty. Pan Seared Salmon was perfectly prepared to my liking, I substituted the risotto for fries to avoid the dairy. It was pretty good. I would order again. Well plated w zucchini under salmon. The fish and chips were the hit at the table. The breading had an amazing flavor, and the fish was prepared well. The Cajun Crab Sandwich was a hit w my hubby. He devoured his food quickly stating he would get it again. It was well plated, flavorful, and fulfilling. We received 10/10 service by Jackson who was attentive to our requests. There was an issue w a dish at our table that the manager (Kelly) resolved quickly, and left our table mate happy. I highly recommend this establishment for a good, hearty meal.

At first glance, it's pretty bare bones inside--but don't let that fool you. Grab a seat, because the food is where this place shines. The menu is packed with creative, unexpected options like a cinnamon toast panini, a Mongolian steak sandwich, honey Old Bay house smoked salmon, and even a "sloppy goodness" lamb burger topped with French onion soup. I went with the hamburger "Mac style," and Tom had the smoked beef brisket Philly. Honestly? One of the best burgers I've ever had--perfectly cooked, flavorful, and just done right. Despite being the only server on duty, service was quick, polite, and helpful. The menu is concise but filled with tempting, creative options, and they're open for lunch, dinner, and Sunday brunch. Meals are made to order, so we enjoyed relaxing and getting caught up with one another. My sister-in-law ordered the Smoked Beef Brisket Philly and chose the German potato side salad--she specifically returned to try that side again. I had the Sloppy Goodness, a delicious moist lamb burger topped with a non-traditional French onion soup and melted Provolone on a brioche bun. My broccoli slaw side was great as well. We enjoyed everything so much that we left no leftovers behind. We had hoped to share a chocolate mousse, but it was sold out--just another reason to come back. Portions were filling for us, and my dish was pure comfort food. The Bistro also offers two private rooms for small gatherings. We went on a weekday afternoon, it's a charming spot for a relaxed, unhurried meal and conversation. A place I wouldn't be surprised to find as a local hangout.
