All of them slap like a disgraced debutante whose promenade partner got fresh behind the ice sculpture. Driving to the East Side of Iowa city and simply want a top shelf Cuban Sandwich? Well tough shit for you, they don't have it on the top shelf; it's made fresh in front of your face. (In terms of quality though I will put that in a tip shelf). Finally, the staff are helpful and knowledgeable. The usual stereotype I have of a butcher is a really beefy and gruff dude with chronic meat sweats, who pals around with a baker and candlestick maker (why is that a job btw, that seems like a hobby at best). These guys don't look like that- giving me a lesson in stereotypes and judging books via their cover. As I chomp down on my deliciously spiced sausages, I realize that both my horizons and waistline have expanded. Finally, it is pronounced Toe-Ma's. Get that wrong and they will laugh at you, and you will deserve it.

I have yet to find a more delicious chain sandwich than this order right here. Jersey Mike's truly is A SUB ABOVE! Rating = 9.1/10). Brownie (For a pre-packaged brownie, I was pleasantly surprised with the moist texture and great flavor. Rating = 7.3/10). Service: I had one of the best customer service experiences in recent memory today. I was welcomed in with a smile when I stepped in the door, the order was quick and accurate, and the cashier carried an entire conversation with me as they were preparing my sandwich. Pure class! These are the little things that truly matter to me as a customer, and I knew immediately when I left the store that I would be leaving a 5-star review when I left the building. Hats off to the management, training personnel, and front line workers - your efforts are noticeable! Ambiance: While I did not stay in the store to eat my meal, the tables and floors looked clean and orderly. Overall, I am a huge fan of the Jersey Mike's brand, and it is visits like today that remind me why I have no problem giving the company my business.

Maybe I'll consider it both ;) I've been ordering Jersey Mikes boxes for the past few years of Iowa Hawkeye tailgates and they are a fan favorite. (Honestly, my only qualm is I wish they had an option to cut them in half? As a half sandwich at a time for a tailgate is far easier to do. ) We were in NL for a basketball tournament and needed sustenance. My kids are obsessed, as I mentioned. And my better half is both a Danny DeVito and Italian sub fanatic. I ordered quick via the app-- it was ready for pickup in no time. We never ever have issues at this location with service. Also! I got my first reward from the app! My loyalty points paid off with a free giant sub. Love it.

The Classic is just that, a beloved local spot in downtown Brooklyn where the friendly service and delicious food made for a truly memorable dining experience! The staff made us feel right at home from the warm greeting at the door to the server's helpful recommendations. The menu offered plenty of options, including daily specials. My tacos were delicious and bursting with flavor. Whether you live nearby or just passing through - i would definitely recommend making a stop here.

"Classic Hospitality, Delicious Eats (Just Bring Your Beans Memory)"…read more I recently stopped at The Classic Deli & Ice Cream Shoppe in Brooklyn, Iowa--and wow, what a treat. I've read up on the history: this place has been a local staple at 120 Jackson, serving breakfast, lunch, dinner, and yes... ice cream. That kind of variety is always a good sign. (theclassic.us) From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed. The hosts and staff treated us like old friends, checking in and making sure we had everything we needed. The service alone is five-star worthy ... friendly, attentive, and warm. We ordered a chicken melt, chopped sirloin with au jus, and a selection of desserts including peach pie, chocolate pie, and lemon meringue. Everything was tasty and felt freshly made. The prime rib was flavorful and juicy, and the pies were a perfect sweet finish. They have a whole variety of ice cream flavors, which we didn't try this time but will definitely sample on our next visit. The only downside was that the baked beans we ordered were forgotten, which was a small letdown since they're one of my favorite comfort sides. That's the only reason this review is four stars instead of five, because everything else was truly delightful. If you're passing through Brooklyn, Iowa, The Classic is absolutely worth a stop. The food is satisfying, the service is kind, and the cozy small-town charm makes it feel like a comforting pause in your day. I will definitely be back, and next time, I'm not leaving without my baked beans and a scoop of ice cream!

By the end we were famished! So we decided to pop down the street to this hole in the wall pizza spot. It was happenin'. There's no waitstaff. You order at the window and they hand you an old school ticket.... it takes a minute for your order to be made. Don't forget to listen for your number! They only yell it once or twice then just let it sit in the window, waiting for it to be claimed. We got the cheesy bread (A GOTTA-TRY) -- I am a breadstick snob, these were legit and the marinara was fab. The pizza is thin crust, and hit the spot. The cheese and pepperoni were piping hot. Seating is limited and large parties could be accommodated but it could take a minute to make a table large enough. We had 11 and were able to squeeze into two tables by the front window, luckily. (That being said it was an off time, so if it had been a peak 'dinner time' hour-- we would have been SOL.) Overall, bang for buck was good. Parking is a non-issue. This wouldn't necessarily be as successful of a spot in bigger cities, but for West Branch-- you can tell this is a local favorite both for the food and as a watering hole. (The bar area was jam packed.)
