The establishment did not appear clean, and the overall environment gave the impression that basic cleaning standards are not being consistently followed. The staff was polite, but it seemed like many of the younger employees were not properly trained in food preparation, customer service, or sanitation procedures. When I requested a refund, the manager on duty told me they had to contact the general manager for approval first. I've never experienced that before over a straightforward food quality issue. At this point, this isn't a one-time complaint--it's been a repeated pattern whether I order through DoorDash or pick up food myself. I will be reaching out to corporate because customers deserve better food quality, cleaner conditions, and better-trained staff. Both are great restaurants, biscuitville is just on a totally different level when it comes to breakfast. Back to my one complaint, the chaos; there is no clear system in place and when the place is packed it's hard to determine where the line starts or exactly how it moving both inside and drive-thru. It is often so congested with lack of proper lay out or communication that customers are left to develop their own systems which does not end well. Although they had their issues, I was disappointed when I saw they had closed. So, when in Rome, I wanted to make to Bojangles on SML trip. Fast food is limited in the area. It's Bojangles & Wendy's, which is weak, and I live within 5 miles of a Wendy's, so I wanted to get something I can't get at home. I was very impressed with how friendly, fast, & tasty the food was on both visits here. I also was very impressed how clean it was in this location unlike the former MD locations. They also had American flags up for week of 4th of July, which was nice. This location was better than any of the MD locations I went to, DC, Fredericksburg, & one in North Carolina. Both times I got the chicken tender platter, which is tenders, fries (well seasoned), & biscuit; all delicious with Bo Sauce along with sweet tea, a nice Southern delicacy freshly brewed here.
