The restaurant was definitely busy, which I can understand, but being busy is not an excuse for poor hygiene or unprofessional service. The first thing that completely turned me off was watching a waitress take a used popcorn bucket, throw away the paper liner inside it, and then place the bucket right back with the stack to be reused without washing or sanitizing it. Seeing that happen right in front of customers was honestly disgusting and immediately made me question the cleanliness of the entire restaurant. Unfortunately, things only got worse. When my food arrived, I found a hair in it. Mistakes can happen in any kitchen, but it's how those mistakes are handled that matters. I politely asked if I could speak with a manager. The waitress was very kind, understanding, and handled the situation professionally, so I want to give her credit for that. The manager, however, was the complete opposite. Instead of apologizing or showing any concern, she immediately became defensive and implied that the hair didn't come from the kitchen. Rather than taking the complaint seriously, she seemed more interested in arguing with me than resolving the issue. After going back and forth, she eventually admitted that the kitchen "sometimes makes mistakes," which completely contradicted what she had been insisting from the start. No one expects a restaurant to be perfect, and I understand that accidents happen. What I do expect is basic cleanliness, food safety, and management that treats customers with respect when problems arise. Finding a hair in my meal was bad enough, but being made to feel like I was lying or exaggerating made the experience far worse. Between witnessing unsanitary food handling practices, finding a hair in my food, and receiving such rude, dismissive treatment from management, this was one of the worst dining experiences I've had. I cannot recommend this restaurant, and I certainly won't be returning. There are plenty of other places nearby that value cleanliness, customer service, and accountability much more than this establishment appears to.
