This DQ had a little more local colour. We were served by "biker gal", who then handed us off as she transitioned to the drive through window. Once fueled and refreshed, we headed off to our next stop - clothes shopping at 3 Sons!

Onion rings were just meh, crispy, but had absolutely no taste of onions what so ever, too salty and really, really really greasy. Coney dogs were not good, the chili had a nasty consistency. We won't go back! Good service by the cashier that waited on us, but when asked questions about availability of sugar free Dilly Bars, the other employee that took over my question was extremely poor in communication skills and he was rude. His response was a vague mumble rather than a clear and concise answer. I didn't repeat my question as evidently he didn't care as his back was to me most of the time. Needless to say neither of us got ice cream, we just left... The price is too high for food that lacks any quality. I would suggest passing this place and go elsewhere, unless you just want/NEED ice cream.

The restaurant was very clean, the staff was very friendly and welcoming, and the food is always fresh. I truly appreciated the woman that took my order. She was the perfect example of what a manager would pray their staff acted like. She was very friendly, accommodating to my lengthy TikTok order, made small talk, etc. She told me she loved working at this location, but was driving nearly an hour commute just to do so, so she only had two weeks left there. Talk about a loss. No matter who is taking your order, if you haven't tried it since it is fairly new in the area, you definitely should! I loved the fresh cold cut sandwich I ordered, but I snagged a bite of my dad's Philly cheesesteak and that was incredible as well. - double doors to get into the establishment, but plenty of space once you are in there. - a couple of spaces just outside the front door of the strip center. **Sadly there is no drive-through at this location.**

We had plenty of time and I thought that we'd both enjoy a little exploration around West Lake Okoboji first. Duke's (in the former Woody's Pizza building) is now closed on Monday and while turning around through Arnold's Park, I noticed Bob's on the water right next to the Fillenwarth Beach Resort. Bob's is casual and inexpensive. There's a limited menu selection of Hot Dogs, Sloppy Joes (called the Varsity), Chicken Tenders, Fries, Onion Rings, and the like. You order at the counter and they will bring the food out to you. My Son and I decided to sit on the deck and enjoyed a wonderful view of the Lake (and a Regatta in progress) on this gorgeous "not too hot or humid" day. The food itself is probably 3 stars, but for where you are, and why I'm here, this total experience makes me a fan.
