Photos line the wall, mostly of kids and scribble crayon on the back wall It is a walk up where you order your food and then they bring it to the table. The guy taking my order was curt. Asked him if they fry their items in beef tallow. He said no. Then I told him I had a question about the turkey burger. He was gruff and said what do you wanna know. Then I asked him if he had to pick between two sandwiches, which would he pick? He shrugged his shoulders. Perhaps he should not be working the front of the house with his lack of personality. My husband's burger was plain but good. My turkey burger was very dry. The onion jam was absolutely delicious and so was the bun that it was served on. We ordered a side of tater tots. They have a bit of kick and spice to them. However, they were soft. I prefer my tater tots to be cooked to a crunch. Not wet and limp. You can order soda, but it is sold by the can. There are no fountain drinks. There is no table service. In fact, I have not seen one employee walk since we have been here. I would give thus place a 3.8 for food. I would give them one star for service. No, I would never come back

Service was great, pricing is a bit steep but worth it. The food was fabulous. We started lunch with mini donuts for the table. Wowza. I adored the dipping sauces and they came out piping hot. My kiddos were clean plate club with a chicken and waffle. I enjoyed some fabulous fish tacos with breaded bluegill. The true star of the show however, was Grandmas Cucumber Salad. OMG. I'm a sucker for cucumbers and this was a must order for me. The Okoboji Ice Water (their take on a Long Island Ice Tea) was tasty, too. A coworker selected this place for lunch, and honestly, if I'd read the older reviews, I would have suggested we skip it. First visit, I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap. The sauce has this little sweetness along with the usual spicy tang, and I was absolutely loved it. It was good enough that on day three I found myself back in the same booth at lunchtime. Round two, I went with the Reuben. I'm a Reuben person--I order them a lot, and I know when one is just pretending. This one wasn't and I could not have been more pleased. On my last night in town, I came back yet again and tried the taco salad. Because the word salad makes me nervous and I'm mostly a proud "meatatarian," I asked for extra ground beef. They did not hold back. It was a few extra bucks, but worth every penny. Coming from San Diego, the prices here just make me smile. The vibe is exactly what you'd expect from a sports bar in the best way: a good-sized central bar, booths and tables all around, plenty of screens, and zero pretense. Every staff member I dealt with was friendly, on the ball, and made the repeat visits an easy choice. Bottom line: this place is exactly what it says it is--a solid sports grill and bar. If you want cheap and instant, go to a drive thru. If you're in the mood for a martini, wine and a slab of beef, go find the prime rib place in town. I LOVE PICKLES, but 5 quarter sized slices aren't with $4.25. Hate me or love me but that just doesn't add up. Otherwise, the restaurant was pretty dark but had a nice bar. Food was good otherwise. We tried to call later to tell them about this incident, and they said that it automatically pops up in the computer system like that when they have to put a charge in it auto goes to $4.25 for miscellaneous items and they can't do anything to fix it. In that case, you should've just not put it on the charge or fix your pricing. We even tipped over 20%. The assistant manager on the phone was not nice at all. This restaurant is also in a small town in IA. These are typically Ma and Pa restaurants with friendlier people typically, but here that wasn't the case.
