I called two separate times before arriving at this particular location in hopes of having a sandwich in the process of being completed when I arrived (I have a very short lunch break) and received no answer. When I arrived I wanted a Veggie Delight, one of the sandwiches which are already placed on the menu in order to maximize efficiency in getting my food. The sandwich maker after hearing me order one of the preset sandwiches proceeded to ask me about bread, sauce, and which veggies I wanted as if I didn't already ask for something that should be easy to make without input from me as it is a choice on the menu. Because of these two annoyances I cannot give a 3 star review as that would mean I have recommended the experience. The only reason this establishment doesn't get 1 star is because the staff is genuinely nice and quick in general. read more

Absolutely terrible.Had to spit my sandwich out after biting from both ends-rancid ingredients.Then they rudely refused to refund my money,saying the best they could do was remake my sandwich with more rancid ingredients.They then called the police on me when I was insistent on a refund.I will be filing complaints with corporate,and will never spend another cent at that location. read more

I have to totally agree with the first reviewer here. This Subway is awful! The woman working behind the counter has such limited English speaking ability it is difficult to communicate. And she WILL argue with you so beware. I had a breakfast sandwich and I have had them before at other locations but this one was terrible. She didn't heat the bacon so when she added it to the overcooked hot eggs it got soggy and slimy and gross!! I couldn't eat the slimy bacon so I took it off the sandwich and just ate the egg, cheese and tomato. I wanted some sugar for my coffee and she pointed to where it is supposed to be and I didn't see it so I told her it wasn't there. She told me it was there and came out from behind the counter and pointed at the sugar substitute. I told her that wasn't sugar and she disagreed. I told her sugar was usually in white packages. She finally understood and went to the back and found me sugar. And frankly, the coffee wasn't that good either. So, bottom line is bad service, attitude, communication, food and coffee. I've gone to this store several times during the past few months. While the food is tolerable (it's Subway, so expect the same thing as a Subway in any town), the pricing has fluctuated (I don't think I ever paid the same price twice for the same meal). Today, however, was the last straw. There was a sign posted for their soup -- $2.50 for a cup / $1.90 with the purchase of a sandwich. I had my daughter with me and she ordered a sandwich and I ordered a cup of soup. When the owner rang up the order, he charged me $2.50 for the soup. When I asked why it wasn't $1.90, he "explained" that because I was getting the soup instead of my daughter, it didn't count "as a meal." Absolute bulls*** !!! It is this type of "squeeze the last penny out" kind of tactic that makes customers decide to go anywhere else. I will never go into this store again. read more

I love Subway for lunch, as it's a healthier fast option compared to what's around. But this Subway is always disappoints when I stop in. The food is fine, store clean, etc. I'm just not a fan of the cheap approach to the toppings. Lettuce isn't expensive, no need to pinch such small amounts. I find myself asking for a little more over and over for each topping. Then I get the side-eye, and I don't appreciate that. I frequent Subways, so this isn't coming from a place where I'm not familiar with common expectations. read more

I am a resident of Mahomet and I must say this is the only decent fast food joint as of yet. Sure it's a bit pricy but the food is decent and the service is relatively fast. I wouldn't recommend going while it's full though since the low staff count makes it so it's one or two people working the register and making the sandwiches. I personally enjoy a wide variety of the sandwiches but even if you don't there are the options of a personalized pizza or a salad. This place is a good use of those 7 subway gift cards in the back of your wallet from who knows where. I have eaten and will continue to eat at this establishment. read more

I was a little worried about patronizing this Subway with all of the poor reviews, but they are all pretty old. So I went with three kids to buy sandwiches for a picnic at Lake in the Woods. Our food was fine, vegetables looked fresh, the store was clean, and the employees were super friendly and patient (I had three kids with me!). We were there a little before 1 pm on a Friday and there was no line. The employees' English was not fantastic, but we had no trouble placing our order. No reason not to return. read more

I didn't realize until this morning that I didn't have it, so I worried all day that they wouldn't have it. But sure enough when I went there after school, they had it in the back. This is a sub par subway. I walked in to see my "sandwich artist" scrolling through his phone. He walked up to the line, and grabbed some used food handler gloves out of his pocket and proceeded to help make my sandwich. Portions are consistently small, and staff is less than friendly. I stopped going to this subway for years, but my daughter was begging for a subway sandwich. This will be my final experience under this ownership/management. Do yourself a favor and drive 8 miles to a much nicer subway. read more

You need to avoid this Subway if possible. I enjoy Subway as a chain, but here they are very stingy with ingredients. They will never inform you of the best way to buy sandwishes - ex: you order two 6 inch subs and it would be $3.00 cheaper to buy it as a footlong. The restrooms are frequently in disrepair and often not clean. There are so many other decent Subway restaraunts in the area. They deserve your business. read more

This Subway has the absolute worst service. One gentleman is very nice but that is the only positive thing I can say about it. We have repeatedly used their online ordering (6 times) for convenience and 4 times we have arrived and our order has not only not been started but we had to wait while people came in, ordered and received their food while we waited for them to begin ours. One person ordered, ate, and left before we had our order. This last time we ordered and paid for our food online, arrived to pick up (had not been started) and then we were told that they were out of items that we had ordered and already paid for. We asked to have a footlong cut and wrapped separately (for our children's lunches) and were told he would only do that for an extra cost. What??!! We have learned our lesson, we will not patronize Subway any more. read more

Sadly, I have to agree as well. Since the change in ownership, this Subway has really gone downhill. I frequent many restaurants, some in Mahomet, where it's clear the owners are not native English speakers, but communication at this Subway is next to impossible. I swore I wouldn't go back, and then even decided it couldn't be as bad and tried again, only to find, after I finally got the woman to understand I wanted a salad, the portions were ridiculously small. Ever since ownership has changed, the service and quality has gone downhill quickly. I always order the Big Philly cheese steak which is supposed to have double the meat and double the cheese, but of course, they never give me the double meat or cheese and still want to charge me for it. The last time, I even asked them "is this the one that has double meat and cheese?" Unfortunately, I don't think she understood which is also another problem here. The language barrier. It is difficult to understand what they ask and most of the time, they don't understand what you are saying either. I would much rather travel into Champaign to get my subway than go to this place again and overpay. read more

Worst Subway I've ever been to! It's horrible. I had to fight with the guy to fill up my salad bowl half way up. He didn't want to chop my chopped salad ingredients. Gave me hardly any vegetables. Gave me about 1 TBL of salad dressing. I asked for more and he didn't give me more. Stupid guy, stupid store. Don't go there if you want to eat.
