This is a standard Subway. I enjoy the sandwiches and the servers are nice. Not much more to say.

Is a negative star a thing? This restaurant is abysmal. The sandwiches are mediocre at best, but the service is horrific. I'm in Iola for work, and have been here for weeks. The lunch selection being so limited in this town on Mondays and Tuesdays is the only thing which has brought me to this sad excuse for a Subway and out of a necessity for something different. Numerous times I've stood in front of the person making sandwiches and gotten so frustrated that I've walked out, including today. I walk out of this store because they prioritize Internet orders over the people standing in front of them. So much so that they'll make three sandwiches before they even acknowledge your presence. I would only recommend this establishment as a desperation-only place to get food, or if you are a masochist and enjoy being treated like crap. read more

Extremely lazy staff. I had to refuse my sandwich after watching the lady just slap my sandwich together. I asked for onions and she put 3 little slices on a foot long. Everything she put on I had to ask for more. read more

This place had very horrible service when we went in today, they made us wait 5 minutes before even acknowledging anyone was standing there when they were both standing right at the front Then when I asked for the toppings they barely had put anything on the sandwich... I was basically eating bread. For $23 we got three 6 inches that they put a very tiny line of sauce across my sandwich. I recommend Chanute or somewhere else. Well the food was good besides the fact they put little of everything onto it. The workers made 0 effort to hear what we said and didn't look at me and my friends. It frustrated me because of the fact that they used to work with one of my friends and I believe no matter who it is, it's more professional to serve with a smile and act as if the person was a stranger. read more

If I could give a zero I would. Hateful staff as soon as you walk in the door, they're mad because you're there for a pick up and they don't have it started and it should have been done 6 minutes prior which was fine to wait but don't treat customers poorly. read more

You'll never feel more hated and unwelcome in any place on earth than you will in this random subway in Iola Kansas at any time of day. Normally the employees attitudes isn't something i focus on in a review but seriously, I'm in a subway buying a single sandwich for $15 on a Tuesday, i guarantee I'm more inconvenienced to be here than you are, sir. They only had two people working making 6 online orders and we had to sit in the lobby for 30 minutes before they could even help us

Wish I could give a negative stars because the ingredients looked like they were going to expire any second and the service was really, really, really horrible!!! We weren't greeted when we walked through the door but was given the impression that they didn't want to be there and definitely didn't want to serve anyone! After we paid and said thank you, there was no reply, she just turned around and walked away! When we asked a question, she did answer but only with a quick yes or no, but never made eye contact. I would half understood if it were busy and she needed to hurry, but we were the only ones in the restaurant!!!! Will NEVER go to the Subway in Iola again...I totally understand why the store is empty even during peak hours! I won't darken their doorway with my shadow again!!! read more

They messed up my order and didn't even fix it because they were lazy the bread tasted stale and there was no vitamin water

This place has been going down hill, but I think they have finally hit rock bottom. Pretty sad when you could get a steak dinner made quicker than a sandwich.......No it wasn't busy either. Maybe develop a training program on how to help each other out instead of letting sandwich's sit on the counter for 10 minutes........Ended up going to Sonic after waiting 15 minutes because they didn't prep the steak on day shift.......Unbelievable!!! read more

Went in on the 12/23/2015 and I never say anything bad about places or even take the time out of my day to write reviews. But my experience was horrible I came in with a coupon from the subway website that you use your phone it is promoted on the website and when I showed the employee Thomas he yelled at me saying what am I supposed to do swipe your phone very mean like as I explained what I knew from it showing him he tried to tell me I was wrong he even called the manager and was proven wrong he tried to rush me out the door not even asking me if it was for here or to go no bag and it was so bad customers asked me if I was okay and if I had horrible service too read more

Sandwich artists? I believe this is the Picasso store. My family and I stopped here for a quick dinner on the road. My two boys ordered 12" Ham sandwiches with mayo. The employees then went on to talk back and forth between themselves saying how dumb it is to spend $5.50 on such a plain sandwich. While cutting the bread, which more resembled how a 2 year old might tear apart a roll, the "artist" smashed the bread into a pita. The next "artist" finished the job with a reassuring smash as he wrapped it, just in case there was any hint of fluff left in the sandwich. Next up was my meatball sub. Again, the smashing and tearing commenced, but this time slathered with sauce all over the place. I especially liked the 2 noticeably burnt and dried up meatballs tucked carefully between the fresh ones. Again, the wrapping was carefully done to make sure all the sauce that actually made it inside the sandwich was squeezed out with a nice two handed smash.
