This is a great food truck from the same folks as Fire and Spice (both the truck and the…read morerestaurant). This truck focuses on sandwiches, wraps, and burgers, often with some sort of decadent or spicy twist. I'm a big fan mostly for their burger: two patties with cheese, lettuce, tomatoes (though I ask for these to be taken off), bacon, and their heavenly sauce, which to my tastes is reminiscent of a really good fry sauce. It's a fairly traditional burger but executed super well. The patties are a great thickness for me - maybe a bit thinner than a standard Five Guys burger - and since there's two of them it's a pretty filling meal on its own. The service has always been polite and helpful, and the food usually comes out quickly even when the truck is pretty busy. They park on the Arsenal sometimes and are working on perfecting their online ordering system to further improve wait times. My one complaint is the price/size of the fry portion. I always like to have fries with my burger, even when the burger is really big lol. You can get an order added on to your sandwich for an extra charge. Personally, I think $3 is high for the pretty small serving size they offer. I'd ideally like to have more fries OR the same amount at a lower price; either would be okay. The fries themselves are pretty good; you can get different seasonings on them and for an extra dollar can add a cup of their yummy fry sauce. The burger is legit, though, y'all -- probably my #2 or #3 favorite burger in Huntsville, depending on my mood. If they're close to me, I'll pretty reliably seek them out for a tasty meal. They're very good about posting their schedule for the week on social media, so it's easy to hunt them down.

The burrito was a decent size and well made. Son liked the crispy edges. My avocado, turkey club (no cheese OFC) was tasty. The fillings were a tad skimpy but it was all well balanced with the thin bread slices. The cost of the lunch was lower than most of the brunch places we've visited since moving here. Will definitely be returning!

I liked Eggs Up Grill when I tried their Madison location I guess a year or two ago now. I'm glad…read morethey've joined us on the Huntsville side of things. :) Located on Four Mile Post near the Peppered Pig (my beloved), this restaurant has been pretty popular for breakfast, brunch, and lunch since opening. I visited with my mom a little over a week ago to catch up. We arrived at around 10:30 on a Thursday to a restaurant about 30% full. We were greeted and allowed our choice of seating -- we opted for a small booth by a sunny window. Our waitress was very pleasant and bubbly and happy to accommodate our few specifications/requests (e.g. bacon instead of ham in my bowl). My one complaint about service is that it took a while to get our check, but the restaurant was picking up in business, so it's all good. The interior is cute and sunshiney and the women's bathroom was clean. My mom got a standard breakfast of two over-easy eggs, home fries, bacon, and toast. Although it was a simple breakfast, everything was executed perfectly, from the nicely crisped bacon to the just-runny-enough eggs. She thoroughly enjoyed it. Note that they butter the toast for you -- she assumed they didn't and got a handful of smear trying to butter it herself, lol. I got the same thing I got when I tried the Madison location, a sort of southwest home fry bowl. It comes with a healthy heap of home fries, eggs cooked your choice (scrambled for me), pepperjack cheese, peppers and onions, jalapeños, and a side cup of sour cream and salsa. Mom inspired me with her toast so I nabbed a side of raisin toast. It was sweet and cinnamony. This version of the southwest bowl didn't hit quite as hard as the one I had in Madison. Not sure what it was -- maybe a different, more cilantro-y salsa, or maybe the jalapeños were more vinegary than spicy? This is not to say I didn't enjoy it, though; the eggs were still cooked nicely and I was happy overall with my meal. This would be a good place to take your family, have a small work or mentorship gathering, etc. Give them a try for a more straightforward but, imo, better prepared breakfast than comparable options nearby.

If you are headed south, they are on the left side of the road. We stopped by today to pick up cheesesteaks from Cap's. This restaurant is takeout only. When we walked inside I saw Miss T and she was smiling. I have told you these are the BEST CHEESESTEAKS in Alabama. I have tried several here in Alabama and Cap's is the BEST. We paid and went outside. Miss T delivered our food quickly. It was great to see her looking so well. Dave ordered two steak philly cheesesteaks. I decided to try a chicken philly. Actually a chicken bacon ranch philly cheesesteak. We got an order of fries too! The steak philly cheesesteaks with provolone are delicious and very satisfying. The soft bread from up north is a wonderful contrast paired with the delicious steak and onions. Absolutely the best! 5/5 The fries were seasoned well. I like that Miss T puts ketchup in the takeout container. Delicious fries and ketchup 5/5 My chicken bacon ranch philly did not disappoint. The meat was deliciously seasoned as only Cap's can do. I added the bacon and ranch to a bite and it was good. I like the chicken and steak philly cheesesteaks the original way Cap's makes them. The bacon and ranch are right up Dave's alley so he enjoyed them. My chicken philly was 5/5. Please support this locally owned business. Cap and Miss T will treat you right. The cheesesteaks truly are the BEST in this area!!! 5/5

Finally gave Jefferson's a try with the crew! It was a positive experience and we all agreed we'd…read morereturn in the future. Jefferson's is a small, I'd say regional chain that seems to have a tendency to pop up in areas without a ton of dining options; there are locations in places such as Winchester, TN and Scottsboro, AL. Given this pattern, it's a logical addition to Hampton Cove, which has historically had a huge dearth of restaurants despite the population density and relative affluence of the area. We (me, hubs, sis-in-law, and her husband) came for lunch on a hot Saturday afternoon about two weeks ago. There were a few other people eating in at the time but they weren't crazy busy. We were seated quickly by our waitress, Shawna, who was great! They have a fairly large menu with a lot of American bar food favorites. Lots of appetizers (buffalo chicken dip, fried mushrooms and pickles, etc). For main entrees, they have wings, burgers, chicken, and somewhat weirdly...oysters? Not going there personally but it is an option! The atmosphere is basic sports bar, but it's clean and airy. There's a lot of seating and they seem to do a brisk carryout business too! BIL had apparently been craving a root beer float and was surprised to see it offered here as a summertime special. He and SIL both got one and declared it very tasty! We also got an appetizer of pretzel bites for everyone to share. The bites were incredibly hot and fresh, and served with beer cheese and "sassy sauce" that was a little like a sweeter honey mustard. We enjoyed them! Everyone except for me had wings (2 bone-in, 1 boneless order) and fries or tater tots. Resoundingly happy all around! My husband did wish he could split the flavors on his wings, but you have to get a really large order (I wanna say like 12+??) to do that, so he settled on one flavor. I had chicken tenders and fries and also enjoyed them! The tenders were very large and quite meaty. The breading could've used a tiny bit more salt or seasoning, but they went well dipped in the creamy ranch. Shawna was a highlight of our experience; without asking, she brought BIL more root beer for his float when he quickly drained the liquid part of it, allowed us to keep the queso and sassy sauce from the appetizer to dip our entree fries in, and was very prompt and patient getting extra sauces and refills as needed. Shout out to Shawna! Will definitely return to try more appetizers or get some yummy bar food or watch a game. Thanks for a positive first experience!
