COVID-19 phase: The protein bowls are fantastic! Came here and the workers are masked and required by customers. The worker was nice! I ordered a 1/2 chicken strip and 1/2 steak bowl with everything with pepper jack cheese including extra jalapeños. Also for the southwest chipotle and sriracha sauces on the side. Baked BBQ chips too! Very nice and clean Subway. No indoor eating allowed. To go only. Checked out and the worker wished me a good day! Appreciated! The protein bowl was delicious! Fresh veggies! Tasty chicken and steak! Yummy! The steak was a great mix up! The side chipotle and sriracha sauces made it even better and added the spicy kick with the jalapeños and pepper jack cheese! Going, going, gone! Yeah, I know it's not baseball season, but Subways $6 any foot long national wide promotion. Did you hear right? $6 for any foot long. $6 for a $8.50 roast beef foot long, $6 for an $8.50 carved turkey foot long. $6 for a $9 turkey avocado foot long. $6 for a $9.50 pastrami foot long. I'm staying at the Doubletree Hilton in downtown Fresno. Walk one block northwest on a Saturday, and I'm here, right across from the convention center, and across from the IRS building, and all those other government buildings. Come here on a weekday lunch, and the line will be out the door, with all those government employees doing take out, for those $6 foot long subs at their desks. The deal has been going on since mid January, and I've ordered at least a dozen $9.50 pastrami foot longs, each for $6, on separate visits, mainly in Sunnyvale, where I live.. Saturday 1130am, not a soul in site, but the Hispanic lady making my subway. Got to be bilingual in this area, as Spanish, not English, is the primary language. She looks at me, the first and only customer on this quiet Saturday morning, and knows I don't speak Spanish -who ever heard of a Chinese dude speaking Spanish, except for Anson W's Hollywood Spanish! I order my usual: foot long Pastrami on Italian cheese and herb bread with provolone cheese, toasted. Everything on it, except for the jalapeno peppers -I like it hot but not that hot! Dash of southwest chipotle sauce and I'm set to go. The lady piles on the pastrami -none of this paper carton 1.5 ounce servings as back in the Bay Area. Use the credit card and it's $6 plus tax for a $9.50 sandwich. Got to get them quick as the deal ends the last day of February. Will take it back to the wife, and give her the olives, and she gives me the onions. No French kissing. All those government workers eating these messy sandwiches. Messy, yes, but someone's got to clean up the mess being made in DC! read more

Nice and quick place to eat at if you're working in Downtown Fresno. Can get busy, but the line moves pretty quick. Tried a churro today and it was pretty good. Plenty of seating available and pretty clean. read more

This place is quick, don't be intimidated by the line...because there WILL be a line during lunch. Normal subway. Only about 6 tables inside, weird location for the fountain drink because a line is typically forming right beside it, staff is there, but not kind. Not rude, but not friendly. Just A-Ok. Opened pretty early for a subway. I came at about 7 in the morning for the FedEx next door but they didn't have a working scanner.. I like how they didn't pull out a whole bunch of veggies and meat so it doesn't get old by the time people actually eat. Being this early, the floors are clear of mess and sparkles lol.. I hope to come around lunch one of these days and see how good the customer service is while it's busy so I can give a better review. The staff member that was working here was quick and ready to help. All I got was a small soup and cracker.. Too early for a sandwich. I think I should come more early to downtown more often to look what they have around here while there's not too many traffic and cars around. It'll give me a better chance to explore. Soup is about $2 which isn't bad. I love their chicken soup with crackers. Light and delicious. read more

All I have to say is that the guy working here at 3pm on 11/17/18 all BY HIMSELF deserves some praise. He kept a positive attitude even though the line was getting long and had no one to help him. WARNING! Do not go to this Subway! Not only are they the most expensive Subway in Fresno, they also sneak in extra charges when you get to the cash register and hope you won't notice. This has happened to me personally and to some of my co-workers. When brought to the owner's attention, he just stared at me with a blank look on his face until he realized I wouldn't back down and then he finally removed the extra charge on my meal. The extremely rude employee stood there and argued with me even though she knew she was in the wrong. Please don't patronize this location... they need to learn that they can't treat people that way and get away with it! read more

We had the Italian BMT, Spicy Italian, chips, chocolate chip cookie, iced tea and a Dr Pepper. The iced tea was perfect even though it's 2pm it tastes fresh. Customer service was great too the lady went to the back to check if they had any chocolate muffins left. The place is clean; lobby and women's bathroom. Do need to ask for a key for the bathrooms, but the location is downtown so understandable. Unsure why the low reviews but we will be back while in town. read more

I ordered a veggie sandwich. They are supposed to customize this - so I asked for extra olives...and the employee just would not do this.... On a foot-long, he put maybe 8 olives, and would not put any more even when I asked repeatedly. He said something to the effect that 'we are only allowed to put so many'...which is weird because I always get my sandwiches made that way in Subway. The owner (who is Indian - so am I, btw), was standing next to him, and made no effort to correct the situation. I told the employee that I would not be putting on other veggies, so it would probably make up for the extra olives, but he would not budge. So, I abandoned my sandwich and politely walked away. This is the most bizarre Subway I have been to. It appears from reading the other reviews, that the owner has a olive fixation. How does one complain to the parent company about this behavior??? I just ate at this Subway. I'm in town for the auto show and thought it would be nice for dinner. I went in, it seemed like the owners were working, and I ordered a foot long meatball marinara on wheat. The owner told me they only had flat bread available and white or wheat bread would be 15 minutes. I decided to wait because I really had a craving for a meatball sub. Keep in mind I own a Papa Johns Pizza and if I don't have a product readily available, like it should be, I always offer something in compensation for the inconvenience. In this case I thought it would have been nice to have been offered a free bag of chips or cookie for the wait, I would probably have declined but the offer would have shown they care. 15 minutes later the bread is ready and I get a meatball sub and ask for pepperoni, which is an extra $1.50. Now if I hadn't had to wait 15 minutes I would have been okay with the extra charge but as a business owner myself I thought it was inappropriate to charge me for the pepperoni. They charged full price and offered no apology or anything for the wait. Will not be back!!! This is why they say customer service is a lost art because owners, like this Subway's owners make it a lost art that is not practiced! read more

I work near this subway and I've noticed that they never participate in any of the promos that other subways have. For example. When they had $2.00 subs for a certain month they said they weren't participating. I had a craving for chocolate so I asked if they had muffins since they weren't out for display. They said yes and he came back and microwaved one for me. Right then and there I should have said no thanks but I figured maybe I'll give it a try. Subways food is supposed to be fresh I thought. Well this muffin definitely wasn't if he had to microwave it. I took it and it was soggy from being microwaved and it tasted horrible. I went to return it and I got an attitude from the woman at the register. The owner who sold it to me came over and he gave me my money back without hassling me about it. This Subway has to be the best in Fresno. I work in The Tower at the Convention and often visit this location for lunch. it's always very very very busy, but the staff works very quickly to serve all of its customers in a short amount of time. The staff is always very friendly and kind. Food quality is excellent, the bread is baked much better than other Subways I have visited. In my past experiences, they have always excepted my coupons and gift cards, not sure why the other raters said otherwise (they have a stack of gift cards to buy right next to cash register). Overall an excellent restaurant and one I look forward to visiting every time. read more

I just ate at this Subway. Prices are very decent compared to other Subways I've been at. A few footlongs at $6 They give a good amount of meat on their sandwiches. I love a LOT of veggies in my sandwich and they were ok. It would be good if they can put a bit more veggies in there. Probably a 5-star Subway if they did that. I ate there around 1PM or 2PM and it wasn't too busy. read more
