About what I expected. A veggie delight sub. It was fresh, fast and cheap.

We also ordered homemade giardiniera to put on the pizza. The restaurant was very busy, but the servers did a great job keeping up with everyone and were friendly and attentive. It's a really nice little pizza joint with a great atmosphere, good food, and excellent service. The restaurant was clean, the prices were reasonable, and the bathrooms were clean, which is always a bonus! We had a very enjoyable experience and will definitely be back. Highly recommend giving them a try!

They offer a variety of delicious pizzas, including Chicago thin, Chicago deep dish, New York style, and Detroit style, all made with care. This cozy spot has a warm, inviting atmosphere that makes you feel like you're at a friendly neighborhood pizza joint, where you're more than just a customer. As I tried to choose, my eyes kept drifting to the different pizzas coming out, and each one looked and smelled incredible--I found myself torn because I wanted to try them all. I finally settled on the plain cheese deep dish with garlic, and oh my goodness, it was truly wonderful. Let's start with the crust -- it wasn't your typical plain crust. Nope! It had a wonderful flavor that made every bite special. The cheese was out of this world! I'm not sure exactly what they use, but it was incredibly delicious and comforting. The sauce! Oh my -- their sauce is the kind you'd want to savor on its own. We all know that the sauce is a key part of a pizza, and this one was exceptional. It wasn't too sweet or tangy, just a mild, delightful flavor that anyone could appreciate. After my first bite, I felt like I was in pizza heaven. The staff was so friendly and caring, checking in often and making me feel truly welcome. I wholeheartedly recommend visiting this place--I promise you won't regret it. It's that good. I'm already planning to go back with my daughter because she loves pizza as much as I do, and I want her to experience this special spot too.

They spent 14 years on Sanibel Island before Hurricane Ian destroyed the original location in 2022. Chef Melissa Donahue and her team eventually rebuilt the concept in Fort Myers, opening their new Summerlin Road location in 2025. Chef Melissa also made Southwest Florida culinary history as a 2019 James Beard Award semifinalist for Best Chef: South, becoming the first Lee County chef to receive that recognition. Here's what we enjoyed from the Sizzle Dining menu: * Wedge Salad -- bleu cheese crumbles & bleu cheese vinaigrette * Cornmeal Crusted Cod Bites -- malt vinegar aioli * Grilled 6 oz. Flat Iron Steak -- crispy fingerling potatoes, caramelized cipollini onions, sautéed spinach & demi-glace * Roasted Salmon -- creamy banana lentils & blood orange gastrique * Key Lime White Chocolate Bread Pudding -- mixed berry coulis & key lime crème anglaise * Banana Pecan Strudel -- banana & pecans wrapped in phyllo dough with caramel gelato (My Top 3 Dessert during Sizzle) The food was delicious from beginning to end, and knowing the story behind Sweet Melissa's makes the experience even more special. The menu is eclectic and definitely not for the timid diner because most items are definitely on the creative side as opposed to traditional preparations. My Waygu burger came with a sweet jam and all the fixings and hand cut fries. I definitely recommend Sweet Melissa's because of its unique menu, and fabulous service. And they have a three course meal special with dessert now for 49,00. Enjoy...,

Everything came as ordered and was hot. There was only one thing, and I guess I should has asked more questions. The fish taco, the menu description said lightly fried, yadda yadda yadda. Made it sound like fresh fish. It was a single frozen fried fish stick. Not what i was expecting although it was good. There were 4 of us and everything they ordered was as described and very good. I would certainly visit here again!

Service was okay, could have been more attentive but overall not terrible. All food came out decently quick after ordering. We got the garlic bread and calamari appetizers. They both came with a very generous portion of marinara sauce, especially the garlic bread. We also got teriyaki wings and a pork tenderloin sandwich. The wings were great and a good size. I asked for extra crispy and they delivered just that. I love that the side of blue cheese it came with was a big, suitable size for the large wings. My husband really enjoyed his pork tenderloin sandwich and said it was the best one he's had to far from any restaurant. Overall a good experience here. I feel like Fort Myers lacks nice casual restaurants like this one. We will definitely return and try outside seating next time. :)
