Harbor Creek is a traditional stop for us on any long trip that passes by it. We look forward to it as a marker that we're well on our way. Whether we're stopping in to enjoy the Iron Skillet Buffet or just picking up drinks for the road, it's always a pleasant visit. As we come from a family of truckers we also appreciate the care and consideration they show by setting up a separate space for then to decompress from the road. A great company with a well deserved reputation.

In the fall during the grape harvest, Chef Shawn makes one called Vineyard on Fire, which has fresh grapes and fresh hot peppers in it. The building is old and funky, but squeaky clean and very well decorated for every holiday. A freshly paved parking lot is a plus for those winter dinners. Can you tell I'm a fan? You need to try the Zucchini Planks as an appetizer. They could use some more specialty beers in the cooler, but I usually go for the tall Blue Light draft.

Our food came out cold, and one of us was given the wrong order. An absolutely horrible experience and even worse customer service.

We got skunked at the Skink and Goat tavern on Monday…read more We have been driving from New England to Ohio to drop our oldest off at college and always wanted to come here. It is their senior year, so it was our last chance so we made sure to stop. We came in on a Monday around 1 pm. I had made a reservation, but not needed The waitress promptly brought us menus. There were five other tables occupied. We waited 25 minutes (I started a stop watch after 10) and the waitress never came back to take our order, bring us water or see if we had any questions. We had the menu down. I tried to flag her down but she ignored us. So we got up and left. All in all a very disappointing experience. We were so looking forward to it, the music was great, the food smelled great. But the service was beyond horrible. .

We had our dog with us so we only planted to get carry out, and then we discovered a shaded patio. We decided to stay and eat outside. I was standing at the host stand for quite a while because I hadn't noticed the seat yourself sign. I had also walked in the restaurant and was looking around for any employee - two servers at a table saw me standing there looking confused but then just went right back into the kitchen. When another guest pointed out the sign, I thought well that's great but if we want to sit outside will they ever know we are there. Someone finally returned to the bar and we were able to get a server. We ended up ordering three appetizers - skoat balls, cheese sticks, peach Burrata. All three good. I also ordered a blueberry mint mocktail beer that was actually quite disappointing. It was also quite a charming little town! Would like to go back again sometime, sadly that is unlikely to ever happen.
