I am a resident of Hopewell Junction for over 40+ years and I am appalled by what just went on when I was ordering my sandwich. So as I'm getting my sandwich made I see a Hair in the yellow peppercini's!! I made the employee aware and she said this is the same thing as other peppers. She then proceeded to ask again, which one do you want?? I said MAAM NO there is a black HAIR pointing to my hair and and since there's someone of a language barrier sheet sift it through the peppers and pretended she didn't anything. She did not throw away the contaminated food or even at the least take the hair out of the food!! Employee was obnoxiously, rude talking over me telling me to just pay pay pay. I realize she was on the phone when I walked in and then this is why she was so impatient to get back to her phone call. Definitely a little disappointed I wonder once over the pandemic and everything went smoothly and had a pretty great sandwich in all honesty A little pricey for sure. I went back a few weeks later and I ordered online and the woman who made the sandwich must have skipped out a lot on it which I felt was pretty upsetting :/ she only put on one slice of cheese versus the two on the 6 inch and only put on two tomatoes instead of three. I'm updating my as I wanted to make note that this location has not changed its practices since my last review. I've written to Subway corporate on multiple occasions and Subway never responds to the emails about this location. They have their own $5 footlongs if they feel like the footlong is OK. They never accept rewards and claim their machine is broken. They keep napkins hostage as if they're made of gold bullion. Last but definetly the most annoying thing is they undercut on toppings and meat that it really should be illegal. Sometimes I want Subway and I just wait until I'm at work in the city because there's no shot in hell I plan on giving this location any more money. I have to say I'm a little surprised at all the negative reviews I just read. I've never had any issues with anyone at this Subway and they're always very nice when I come in. I normally order over the subway app and just go and pick it up because I don't live very far from this location. And every time I come in they always greet me with a smile and they always know that I'm there to pick up a mobile order, they always hand it to me right away and always tell me to have a nice day. Maybe my experience would be different if I went into the store to order my food, but again I've never had any problems with the employees or the food and I prefer them over the other locations near me. I notice this with the franchise that was in Fishkill NY in the plaza where Ocean State Job Lot is at and this one in Hopewell Junction they are very cheap with toppings and meats everything else. This stuff is food it goes bad so there is no point trying to conserve when you're just gonna lose money anyway unless they give expired food to their customer to eat. I see a lot of negative reviews here. I just went in for a $7 tuna wrap with all the veggies, oil/vinegar and salt/pepper. I thought it was fine, for subway. I didn't have any coupons, and I can see a lot of people are complaining about the fact they don't accept any. I've been to another subway in NYC by Columbus circle that didn't accept coupons either. It's definitely odd. I guess they can do that regardless of being a franchise. It has to hurt their image in town, but considering the location, maybe accepting coupons would hurt them more financially. Who knows. I'm just glad I have access to a subway when the craving hits since them local deli can't produce a tuna sandwich as good as subway in my opinion. The location always seems old (to me is dirty, but might be clean and is just old). The staff is in a rush, and kind of pushes you along the order. They go light on the sides, and don't take coupons.... I used to get subway on route 376 and it was almost always better (that location has closed). Why do I crave subway then have to deal with the 2/10 location? A couple times they also didn't have the bread I wanted which is disappointing. I expect a chain restaurant to have everything in stock.... This is one of the worst places in the area in terms of service. The Indian woman there is a disaster! The way she makes the sandwiches, throwing the food around, is disgusting! She wants to be fast, she obviously only cares about getting customers out the door. And, on top of that, she is rude!!!!!!!!! But really RUDE!!!! Worst subway experience. The owners are cheapskates, trying every way to save some money at the expense of customer's experience. They skimp on the toppings and give you nasty looks if you ask for more, hide the condiments, don't put napkins in takeout bags, keep the drinks behind the counter and do not accept any coupons(regular in mail coupons sent to my home). And as an explanation falsely mention that most restaurants do not accept anymore which is a lie. Also preach why coupons are bad. The man behind the counter gives ackward, uncomfortable, creepy looks and the lady is simply rude and disrespectful. Just a horrible horrible place to be. My family and I go to this subway at least once a week since my daughters dance class is near by and one the night she dances it too late to cook dinner. Every time we go we get the same sandwiches and it's always different prices. So I decided to download the app to get discounts as well as the convenience of having the sandwiches made before I get there. I pull up tonight after I place an order on the app and the man wants to tell me he did not get my order. This was the first time my husband and I went to this Subway as we usually go to the one on Rte 9. With COVID-19 and being immunocompromised, I am very serious about maintaining social distancing and mask wearing. While waiting to be served, a young man came in carrying his mask and when I asked him to put it on he made a comment under his breath and put on the mask, only to pull it down and place it under his chin. He could have cared less about anybody around him and I made a decision to leave without buying a sandwich. My husband remained to complete his order and told the owner that he should not be serving this person. The owner said "I know, I know" and proceeded to serve him anyway. Very disappointed that they don't enforce the wearing the mask law in NY. While I understand the need to get business, lessons need to be taught. They put other people at risk by not doing so. Although my story about this subway happened about two years ago, I think that it is pretty important that I tell paying customers what had happened from my awful experience so that they are warned. So, about 2 1/2 years ago me and my boyfriend walked in to get sandwiches, I asked for my sandwich to be cold and the nasty Indian woman has heated it up (which was not a big deal to me) I told her that I didn't ask for it to be heated up but I said it's fine and she rudely said to me "you asked for it heated up!!!" I said that I did not and she just ignored me but I let it go! Then, my boyfriend goes to pay and it was around $20 for two sandwiches yet, we had been to many different subways on multiple occasions and it has never been that expensive. As my boyfriend paid he asked for a cup for water ( I did not know the cup was supposed to be for water) so I filled it with soda! As we sat down to eat the nasty Indian woman starts screaming over the counter to give the cup back so I did without question and she proceeded to YELL that all me and my bf do is "TALK TALK TALK" so as the fiery Italian roots in blood started to boil I yelled back and told my boyfriend that we were leaving, then she continues to yell at me and tell me and him never to come back and this was in front of customers! She was an extremely rude person and they are very cheap and disgusting her and the man that were there! I would give this place negative stars if I could because it is that bad!!! East Fishkill NY - 82 Rte - THE MAN IS COMPLETLY RUDE & DESERVES TO BE ADDRESSED IMMEDIATELY! I was entering my card for payment and moved the keyboard pad in order to see it better to enter my pin. He flipped out and was extremely nasty saying not to move the keyboard. We went back & forth. I have never been treated as a customer so bad. I questioned the price because I could have swore that I was charged $18 for same order last time I was in there. The owner explained the high price was because of the drinks. I accepted that and paid but after I left my kid found out that she had put mayo on his sandwich. Worst subway in the area, I've been complaining about this specific location for years... First off it is in fact unsanitary, all food is left open and uncovered for hours with flies and what-not flying around. They will skimp the meat on your sandwich for 8/10 of the subs, they skimp when ordering any shredded cheese, they even skimp the cheese that they toast onto the Italian herb and cheese bread, always cutting corners anyway they can to save money(even if it means cutting into Subway's protocol for a sandwich -ex. A spicy Italian combo calls for 10 salami/10 pepperoni and they will put 8/8 every time..) it's always the same two rude Indian people(man and woman.. Possibly a couple) if you question their protocol they get nasty with you. The last time I went in here I spent almost $20 on 2 sandwiches and I could not receive any rewards points, and when asked what the issue was, I got this pathetic excuse that "his store hasn't been sent some new machine so no points." Meanwhile I was at the nearest next location 2 weeks earlier and got points NO PROBLEM. It seems these people and this store are full of problems. I've been to dozens of subways, eaten hundreds of these subs, and have had multiple friends who've worked and managed these stores so I'd like to think I know my shit. This SPECIFIC HOPEWELL LOCATION is horrible. This subway is about 3-5 minutes closer than any other store but I will go out of my way almost every time to go to any other location(Fishkill, wappingers, rt376). I went in with a buy one get one free coupon. I ordered two identical sandwiches, 2 cookies and 1 soda. When I went to pay, the man said $18. I gave him the coupon and he said they don't take coupons. (They have taken this coupon before.) I told him I only had $10 and asked why they don't take coupons. He took the cookies and threw them in the garbage, threw the soda cup away and took three dollars off and said it was now $15. I told him I had $10. He got pissed and said I could only get two sandwiches. I told him to take one sandwich off then, I only had $10. He yelled at me and said that I couldn't have anything now and threw both sandwiches in the garbage. I agree that you are crazy to go in here. The owners, Indian people, are rude and nasty. As you walk in the door, they are asking what you want. If you say you want a particular sandwich, they don't let you finish before they yell at you and ask what kind of bread. Then when they make it, if you start telling them what you want on it, after each item you say, they say "that is all?" And you have to say no and tell them the next thing. When you tell them the next thing, they say "that is all?" It's clear that they don't want you asking for anything you're entitled to. And God help you if you ask for napkins. We have gone in there and ordered 4 sandwiches and they gave us 1 napkin. When I asked for more they said they gave us 1. I said we had 4 sandwiches. They gave us a second napkin and I waited until they turned away and grabbed more napkins. They had a fit and told us to leave and not come back. But they say that pretty regularly. read more

This is my usual subway! Pretty good for the most part other than the wife who works there which is very rude and always in a rush when there isn't anyone else in the store! The other day I came in to get lunch a man walks in instead of them proceeding with my order since I was in the store for about 5 minutes before this guy came in he takes the sandwich out of the toaster and leaves it on the counter while I'm standing there he then takes the mans order and checks him out THEN finishes my order!
