Becks came out and took something off our tank so our heat stopped. It snowed last night and temperatures aren't planning on coming up for a few days. We borrowed the money to pay these bloodsuckers off today. They do not deserve our retirement money - or yours. We will be switching companies when this gas has run out. What a great "family operated business", NOT. Thats how you give back to the community you serve Eric? They are nice as long as you don't run into any hard times, just wait, when this happens to one of them, who can't pay a bill on their timeframe, its going to hurt, just like what you did to us today. Also found the first company that had to come out and survey the site, and would then send a quote for the price of install, which they said could range around a couple hundred dollars, on top of the lease fee for the tank. Every other company I've ever called or worked with had, at most, a lease fee for the tank, which was waived after a certain number of gallons. I have no idea how good their service is compared to their competitors, and I won't be able to find out because I can't afford to pay all the extra fees just to get the same services everyone else offers for free.

First round of calls I was finally told by "Andre" (sp?) that I have to buy the actual tank. They later withdrew that demand but still no name change on the account and no propane delivery. Next round of calls and I was assured the account was in my name and could order when needed. Not true. More calls and still no propane. Last set of calls resulted in Andre showing up again, wanting me to sign a 3 year contract which NO ONE had previously mentioned!!?!?! Seriously? You can't make this up! Avoid the hassle and go elsewhere.

With no identification on the tank, serial number illegible, we went with our current supplier. Signing wavers to allow them to use this tank and having it repaired, we started using it with a great company. Again, over a year later, I came home to find a tag from Alto Propane on my door stating the tank was illegally tampered with and we removed the stickers so therefore service was disabled. They disabled the home and it could have created a serious situation for one with poor health per se. I will NEVER recommend any company that demonstrates such ignorant calloused standards. Even Consumers Energy will provide notices and even financial help to people in need before discontinuing a life dependent service.

They were not Auto filling as promised or we would have met that obligation. They agreed to fill it in allow us to keep the tank only to come and try and pull it later stating that we had not been paying our bills, which we had, we owe them nothing. Ownership would not even give us a return call they made their sales person do it because they're cowards. Bottom line they're testing markets with local small businesses at high costs. Do not do business with Avery Oil and Propane. We have switched companies. #saynotoaveryoilandpropane

The quote was around $2500-$2800, but we were only charged about half of that because they ran out of truck before we ran out of stuff. One of the movers told me they didn't like moving televisions, couldn't I just take that 80" TV in my car because they didn't have the proper equipment with them to move them. They made one load and we spent the next 4 days lifting and moving stuff in our vehicles--something we tried to avoid by hiring movers. This service was not worth the high cost of having to move things ourselves. We had used the service twice before, but never again.

I say "trimmed" bcuz the "leads"--as they're properly called in Forestry (I did not know this)--were as large as MOST TREES. The guys worked their butts off: Started around 8:30-9 on a Saturday am and ended up finishing around 7p on Sunday night. Now here's the kicker: When they were done with all the cutting/loading of wood/brush--and I mean they took EV. RY. SINGLE STICK--the owner went around with a leaf blower and basically cleaned my entire yard. We had an old pile of decrepit wood that they took as well. And oh, btw: they ground every stump, INCLUDING A BONUS ONE FR A TREE THAT I'D CUT DOWN PREVIOUSLY. I'm sure with the state of the world, their prices have climbed commensurate with inflation, but at the time, they did allllll the work I'd mentioned for $4500. I was thoroughly impressed & astounded. I BELIEVE "the son" has taken over the business now, but my lord, was I ever impressed with this company.
