Becks came out and took something off our tank so our heat stopped. It snowed last night and temperatures aren't planning on coming up for a few days. We borrowed the money to pay these bloodsuckers off today. They do not deserve our retirement money - or yours. We will be switching companies when this gas has run out. Also found the first company that had to come out and survey the site, and would then send a quote for the price of install, which they said could range around a couple hundred dollars, on top of the lease fee for the tank. Every other company I've ever called or worked with had, at most, a lease fee for the tank, which was waived after a certain number of gallons. I have no idea how good their service is compared to their competitors, and I won't be able to find out because I can't afford to pay all the extra fees just to get the same services everyone else offers for free.

Bought a home over a year ago with a very dated propane tank. The goal was to have the tank…read morereplaced with a new one. With no identification on the tank, serial number illegible, we went with our current supplier. Signing wavers to allow them to use this tank and having it repaired, we started using it with a great company. Again, over a year later, I came home to find a tag from Alto Propane on my door stating the tank was illegally tampered with and we removed the stickers so therefore service was disabled. They disabled the home and it could have created a serious situation for one with poor health per se. I will NEVER recommend any company that demonstrates such ignorant calloused standards. Even Consumers Energy will provide notices and even financial help to people in need before discontinuing a life dependent service.
