I do not recommend this facility for a Federal OWCP cases, facility is too careless with paperwork. Documentation is essential to a patient's case. Paperwork is rushed, facility need to hire a person familiar with the paperwork and know the negative impact it can have on a case. I was not paid for a doctor visit; I have an open established case for years. Now I have to appeal a decision of non-payment. Anybody who knows about OWCP, know this makes you a target for case closure. Your case will start being reviewed, you will be sent to second opinion doctors, that DOL-OWCP choose. I seen Dr Howard friedberg after a car accident and my hand got messed up in the car accident when I was trying to tell him what happened he put his hand up at me told me to stop talking and let him do his job he's a very condescending and arrogant doctor never go to this guy word of mouth travels far and found multiple people who have had very bad experiences with him and tell me to run and tell everyone else to run away from this doctor he will not listen to you and he will put you in harms way instead of listening to his patients and being a good quality doctor and helping you. read more

Horrible Doctor Dmitry Novoseletsky I have to say the reception was very really nice but the doctor was bad. Drove 20 miles to get my back fixed. Instead the doctor send me to physical therapy. I expected something more practical like cortisone shot or stronger pills or some solutions. I got a chance to talk with the doctor less than 5 mins. The doctor name "Dmitry Novoseletsky" He seems very rush and not helpful at all. Did not give any recommendation only suggest to do MRI or Physical Therapy. May be because of "Self Pay". Dr Peterson did my tarsal tunnel surgery on my foot last year. While Dr Peterson was a very nice doc with a good bedside manner, I wished I never had that sx. The problem never went away and now on top of the discomfort - I have paralysis that will never go away. I've been to 2 other Orthopeadic surgeons and they claim that I now have plantar fasciitis. Dr. Peterson operated on my foot, Dr Chhadia is my knee doctor and I wouldn't go anywhere else. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

My daughter's thumb was in pain and swollen for a few days after basketball. Fearing a fracture, I took her to Suburban Ortho in Elgin. The one star is for the friendly and professional Dr. Chhadia who x-rayed my daughter's thumb and found no fracture. It is downhill from there because of the charges that take advantage of payors and ultimately patients. My daughter was given a splint to wear; the medical assistant slid it on and velcroed it. Suburban Ortho charged my insurance $369.00 for the splint, and I am on the hook for $115.93. I found a similar looking splint on walmart.com for $36 after the visit. Shame on me for not declining the splint at the doctor's office, but my baby girl was in pain, and I thought the splint from the doctor's office could not be that much more expensive. How wrong I was. Suburban Ortho also charged my insurance $174.00 for Orthotics Mgmt & Training that I am on the hook for $55.81 -- this is again for sliding the splint and velcroing it. I called Suburban Ortho last week to ask about discounting the balance I have to pay of $171.74, but my request was denied. If you have a HMO that covers everything when you go to the doctor, then Suburban Ortho will not be a problem for you. But if you have insurance with deductible like my family does, look elsewhere. read more

After a total hip replacement and six months of excruciating pain, Dr L gives me an injection. It flairs my sysmtoms and I see the DrN. He is rather short when I greeted him. Then he tells me to stand up, really rudely. He touches me in one spot and says" sit down". Then he wants to do another injection. While I understand but he asked not a word about how they have worked for me ( they haven't and I have had dozens). Throws a paper my way after making me feel horrible about even being in pain. I left with my head down and like I had been defeated. Please go somewhere else that will do a though exam and actually TALK WITH YOU and NOT bark commands. read more

DR. Chhadia and Suburban Orthopedics continued: I did no agree with Dr Novaslesky but I did take the time to see this other Dr in their practice. I don't remember the doctors name but I listened to him and he said if I don't let them do that procedure that they would have to send me back to Dr. Ankur Chhadia's Office and he would have to reopen my knee and do another full replacement on my right knee. At that point I realized that Dr. Ankur Chhadia made and error on my original right knee replacement when he did it in May of 2015. Along with that I started to put two and two together realizing what I hear in the operating room when Dr. Ankur Chhadia was pounding on my knee and saying things like "I know he will not like that" "it is not going to be good". Finally, after Dr. Ankur Chhadia and the other two doctors dragged me along for 2 years knowing Dr. Ankur Chhadia screwed up my knee during surgery they never admitted to me that there was an error during the full knee replacement surgery that Dr. Ankur Chhadia did I stopped seeing all 3 doctor and went back to see my Primary Care doctor who then said to me that I should not have to go through that kind of procedure where they implant a stimulator in my back attached to my spine. My primary care doctor told me that I need to get a 2nd opinion from an Orthopedic doctor from Rush doctors. I then got a 2nd opinion from a Rush doctor out of Central DuPage Hospital who then took X-Rays and he said no wonder I had a lot of pain and my knee was wobbly. There was no adhesive where the new knee joint attaches to the upper and lower leg bones. So, the full knee joint that Dr. Ankur Chhadia installed was not done properly nor did it have any adhesive on it which then made my new full knee replacement unstable and very wobbly. That doctor told me that I had to have the right full knee replacement completely redone. They call it a revision. So, in Jan of 2019 I just had the full right knee revision done and even after 1 month out of surgery there is a big difference in the stability of my knee and I don't have a lot of pain in the knee other than the pain it takes to get the muscles back to normal. There is a big difference when you chose an Orthopedic doctor who knows what he or she is doing. Therefore, I would never recommend Dr. Ankur Chhadia to anyone ever. He made an error on my knee surgery and he knew it but he was not man enough to admit it to me. Instead he dragged me along for more that two years which allowed me to miss the time limit for the statute of limitation to file a malpractice suit against him and the two other doctors in his practice. Please think twice before you trust Dr. Ankur Chhadia's. Always get a 2nd opinion as soon as you suspect something is wrong. read more

Can't say enough about the Physical Therapy staff in Elgin. Michelle, Shannon, Jason, and everyone who assisted me with my PT was amazing, kind and personable. They all made my recovery from a car accident tolerable, encouraged, and kept me motivated. I went to this practice a couple years back and loved it. When I injured foot this past weekend, first people I thought to call was Suburban Ortho. They squeezed me in on a holiday week at their Elgin office. I hadn't been to that office previously but figured I would receive the same level care as did at the other locations. This was not the case! The reception staff was confrontational and not understanding. Frustrated I left the reception area and went into the hallway to try and resolve the matter with a supervisor so that I could be seen. I was unable to get in touch with one, but another staff member worked to try and resolve the situation. We eventually got on the same page and I believed I was on my in to see the doctor. BOY WAS I WRONG! Since the supervisor wasn't available, I said I would speak them regarding the matter at a later date. I was pulled into a conference room in the doctors office were the proceeded to call the supervisor with staff member previously had an issue with in the room. I felt like I was being called into the principals offices to get punished. And that's pretty much what it was. The supervisor got on the phone after they reached out to him on a different number than what was provided to me. He talked to me like I was child and that they could simply careless about their patient. I even asked the supervisor, if he thought he was talking to a child because exactly how he treated me. I have never had an experience like this in my adult life and would not recommend any to get an appointment, at least not at the Elgin office. I will be finding a new practice and will pass along my experience to anyone asking for a opinion or referral. read more
