This is a married couple, both of whom are chiropractors. I primarily see him, for a bulged disc in…read moremy low back. When the injury first happened, it was extremely acute: I could not even get out of bed, I could hardly fall out of my bed and could barely crawl to the bathroom, because I felt like I had to puke, but I could not even kneel in front of the toilet - I had to just lay on the bathroom floor, totally helpless. I had never been there, but they gave me an emergency appointment within hours of my injury. He did not do the usual spinal manipulation - twisting and cracking - that most chiropractors have done to me. He used some little clicker thinger called an activator, that just clicked into my back at various places, no pain. Then put me on a traction table, gentle traction, again no pain. Including the initial interview, adjustment, and the traction session, I don't think I was in his office a half hour? And when I got off the traction table - I could stand up, and my back pain went from a 9 or 10 to about a three - instantly. Mystifyingly effective. And that would keep happening in the next number of weeks until he weaned me off of it, and my injury largely subsided. I have reinjured it twice in the two years since then, and each time, his adjustment and the traction border on magic in effectiveness. I cannot say enough about how good my experience has been here. Super nice people, quick, effective. The woman practices something she calls body talk: When you read about it or she tells you about it, it sounds like complete quackery. My wife tried it, and her headaches have never come back!! Again - mystifying. It was not covered by our insurance, and so it sounded expensive - until you consider the alternatives: Ongoing drugs, surgery, physical therapy, or whatever. One or two or three or four $90 sessions? Obviously cheaper, obviously less invasive, no follow-up action required on my wife's part, and totally effective. It sounded like quackery, but we are believers. His treatment on my back has been way more uniformly effective than any of the five chiropractors I had seen before him in my life.
