Ramsey did a wonderful job, I have been to a lot of salons in SF many of them far more expensive but his quality is unrivaled.

Ramey is a true professional--he knows exactly what he's doing and always delivers a cut that suits me perfectly. The consistency and attention to detail are unmatched. Ramsey has been my hairstylist in San Francisco for the last 8 years. He provides incredible, focused attention to detail, and great conversation. I went through four or five stylists in the City until I found Ramsey. I've also had a few cuts from Thaddeus, and his cuts are excellent too. read more

Great hair cut from Ramsey. He pointed out some issues with my hair and had a plan to fix it. He's a pro and does good work.

Ramsey is hands down one of the best barbers in the city. Not only is he amazing with clippers, but his skill with shears is exceptional, which is rare to find in barbers. I started coming SF Barber aka Ramsey about a year and a half ago in the summer time. I was looking for a new barber in sf since I had recently moved out here, and the trip back to the east bay wasn't worth it anymore. I made an appointment with him, and I've been coming back ever since. His attention to detail, and snarky epitaphs is what keeps every appointment fresh and non monotonous. He is definitely a beast at his craft. I've never been dissappointed. People ask me all the time who cuts my hair, and I find myself dropping his name at a minimum once every few days. read more

I had a stylist for a number of years that I was very happy with, but when it came time for me to radically reinvent myself--including my look--she wasn't really eager to join me in that new direction. A good friend recommend SF Barber / 20th Salon & Barber to me, which happened to be really close to my house no less. I've had cuts with Thaddeus and Ramsey so far, and have loved both their work on my hair and style identity. Very reasonable prices, too! Will continue to go back here. :) read more

It took me about three years of living in San Francisco before I finally found a barber I can count on every time. It was a lucky day when I stumbled upon Ramsey's shop, leaving with one of the best cuts I have ever had. Ramsey Armstrong strives for perfection in every cut. And he doesn't give you one of those haircuts where you feel like you'll have to "grow into it". After every cut, you're good to hit the town immediately. A great conversationalist, Ramsey puts you at ease, talking about anything and everything as effortlessly as he handles his shears, making every haircut an enjoyable experience. I highly recommend him. read more

Good barbershop_way overpriced! 60$ for a haircut / no shampoo. And that's without tips. It clearly should be indicated $$$ read more

I've been going to Ramsey exclusively for haircuts for two-and-a-half years, and couldn't be happier. Initially I was looking for a barber that was close to home, but his consistent quality and craftsmanship, as well as great conversations have kept me returning ever since my first cut with him. Thanks Ramsey! read more

Ramsey has been the greatest barber I've ever attended. Not once have I given this man instructions. He's the kind of barber that understands his craft is an art and approaches each person as his canvas. Prior to meeting him, I was being frugal by giving myself a buzz cut. After my cut by Ramsey, I now know what it feels like to be the center of attention. If you're reading this and you've already used Ramsey before, then you're probably a handsome SOB already. If you're still searching for the best haircut and you need to look your absolute best, book now. Ramsey will be the last barber you ever search for. read more

Ramsey has become my regular barber in the last couple months. He's super personable and does gives me an awesome cut every time. A major reason why I come back to him is because he remembers exactly how I want my hair cut and treats me like a valuable customer. His service is worth every penny read more

I've been getting my hair cut by Ramsey for about 8 months now and have always walked away happy with his work. He takes a customized approach and cuts my hair based on the shape of my head/face. He's also made recommendations along the way based on what I tell him I'm looking for and they've always turned out for the best despite some initial reluctance from me - I take it as a good sign when my barber knows what I want more than I do. The Urban-style cut is a little on the pricey side but the work speaks for itself. I go in for clean-ups between full cuts which makes it more cost effective for me because I don't mind letting my hair grow out a little. Even when my hair has grown out it still looks good/professional following a quick clean up on the sides. Beside the haircut he's also an interesting, fun guy. Always a good conversation with the occasional beer or sip of Henny. Bottom line is I will continue to return because I like the way I look when I walk out the door. Thanks, Ramsey! read more

A master in his craft, Ramsey has perfected his style of cutting hair. His cuts and fade are truly impressive. Sometimes it can be hard to find a barber who knows how to cut asian hair well. I assure you, no matter what race or ethnicity you are, Ramsey will know how to manage your hair. read more

I've been seeing Ramsey since May of 2017 and he does great work. I have little hair these days so while Ramsey shaved my head the main thing he does is my beard, which is a wizard at. He's a perfectionist when it comes to lines, getting it the right length in different parts etc. he's a good conversationalist and the appointments generally speed by pretty quickly. I even recommended him to my 70 yr old father who was in town and needed a cut, and he thought very highly of Ramsey's work as well. All in all I would def give 2 thumbs up read more

I tried out this salon a few weeks back, I wasn't sure who to select to cut my hair so I took a gamble and made an appointment with Ramsey. I am so glad I did. I wear my hear short, but it has strange growth patterns and if the stylist/barber doesn't take this into consideration, my haircut ends up being disappointing. Ramsey worked with the way my hair grows and did an excellent cut for me, It was one of the best cuts I ever had. He even took notes on my haircut for the next visit. I was very impressed with his level of professionalism. I will be making another appointment. The price was also very reasonable for the city. read more
