Our server Angela was nice and attentive. We ate and drank inside, which was great for us because my GF didn't want to deal with bugs and 73° outside was too warm for me... We were seated at high top tables near the bar. Pretty cool interior space, lots of wine on display, and one wall was covered with old wine boxes. It wasn't noisy at all and it was nice not having to shout over a booming music. As for the main event, the food and wine: 1) I'm writing this pretty buzzed so my recollection may be hazy, but I got the "Here Comes the Sun" flight and my GF got the "Bubble Me Up, Scotty!" flight. Not only a good value (3x 2oz tasters for about the same price as a glass [6oz] of wine), but all six of the items in our flights were quite good. We ended up getting two more glasses each of our favorites of the three (Lambrusco for the missus, Grüner Veltliner for me). As for food: I got the shrimp cocktail (4.5/5) and my GF got the lamb sliders (also 4.5/5). And we split a Caesar salad with grilled chicken, which oddly enough to say, was the best Caesar salad we've ever had. Perfect dressing-to-lettuce ratio, the dressing was excellent, and the grilled chicken was perfect. And then we got 4 doughnuts for dessert. The only little disappointment was when I made the reservation, it asked if there was a celebration and I checked the box that it was a birthday celebration. There was never a "happy birthday " wished to us or any mention at all. In no way, do I want or need somebody coming out and singing happy birthday to me but it's always nice when a restaurant will actually wish a person a happy birthday or maybe give a small dessert after the meal. I had heard of this place tucked away behind Moo & Brew but had never visited which I now realize is a mistake, and I have been missing out. They are part bottle shop and part tap room, but more than that this place feels like a welcoming and chill neighborhood hang out. There was a live musician singing and playing guitar of both covers and some of his original tracks. There was a fluffy dog hanging out in one the chairs like he owned the place. They have several seating options from large wooden tables to soft plush sofas, even some swinging couches hanging from the ceiling. The walls are vibrant and full of murals, and the whole space just feels alternative but still approachable and not pretentious. In other words this place seemed very much at home in Plaza Midwood one of the coolest neighborhoods in Charlotte. We ended up staying far longer than originally planned just because we were loving the vibes. I can't wait to visit again.
