Mega Event Production - La Soree FACC (Terra Gallery, San Francisco)

Mega Event Production

Matt was a very nice guy once I got a hold of him. He also did his very best to accommodate our…read moreevent. Although we only needed a spot light for a comedy show, it was important to us. On the day of our event Matt got one of his employee's to drop the light off, set it up and show us how to use it. The reason that I only gave him two stars is because after the event it got very stressful for me. I understand that he is a busy guy and all, but he wasn't so professional in the end. We had a verbal conversation that he would have one of his employee's come and pick up the light on Monday from my work (our event was on Saturday) since it was so quick, I would keep the spotlight in my car and it was ok to let our receptionist know to tell me he was there to pick up the light when he called. After like a week.........he calls my work (I panicked and asked him to please not call my work, it is no longer ok) then I didn't hear from him again for a month! Yes a month AND he calls my work again and tells the receptionist he is on his way to pick up the light. HELLO, it's not in my car anymore, it's been over a month, it is now in my carport storage. Matt got really upset when I didn't have the light in my car, I told him I would do my best to get him to him, but I also work 7 days a week this month and need more than a day notice if you now want me to bring it to you. I guess my frustration is, if you are too busy to deal with the little guys, then don't deal with us, but don't be rude and demanding when you call me a month later expecting me to have it in my car still. Then hang up on my and tell me you are going to take me to small claims court. REALLY? I don't want your light. I had to turn him over to a friend (A guy who Matt couldn't bully). So, he was nice and helpful, but his busy schedule made things a bit un-organized when it was time for the pick up, all for a single spot light. Sure hope he doesn't treat his employee's like he does his clients when they don't do things his way. I would say use him, just have good boundaries and get things clear because I think he over books himself and he has an accent too which makes him a little hard to understand.

5 Stars for certain! Matt from Mega Events DJ'ed our wedding and did a spectacular job. He was…read moreattentive before the Big Day, and was a real rock-star the day of. He did a great job of being a facilitating voice, was very helpful the day-of, and chose a terrific playlist with the only guidance of "Something for everyone." He had my grandparents pulling out their best foxtrot moves to the oldies, and then kept them out there doing swing to the Black Eyed Peas! Pretty terrific! I respectfully completely disagree with Eddie L's negative remarks. We had a very elegant wedding and reception at a winery and Matt seemlessly fit in to the fine setting. He was professional, fun and had an awesome Australian accent to boot! What else do you want?

The Studio WLV - Our Business

The Studio WLV

So I have had an account with The Studio WLV for just over 2.5 years now. I was approached by a…read morevery nice gentlemen who worked there who came by my shop and asked me if I needed any website services. I set up an appointment with the owners, sat down in their conference room, and I was impressed by what they had to offer. I signed on and The Studio went to work building my website. All went well for the first six months, I was very pleased with the design. When my renewal came up for them to host my site, I gladly went with The Studio because of their services up to that point. I could have switched to another company host my web site for a lot less, however. Then all you know what hit the fan. A few times my website went down, and it took several calls into the office to get them to respond, which I was not happy about. Then, I asked The Studio to make some changes to my website, and that was like pulling teeth to get someone to respond. This went on and on until the final straw that made me see if they had a Yelp listing, which they do, so here I am informing the public that to beware of the poor customer service you may have with The Studio. I would bring up situations where I needed something done, and to please call me on my cell. This company only communicates through texting or email. It's practically impossible to get someone to talk to you in person, and when you do, someone will always blame another person who works there on the mishap. There is and never was any admissions to wrongdoing, only accusations why something was not done. Then, they decided to no longer host my website, after nearly 3 years of putting up with The Studio. They emailed/text me that the migration to my new server was taken care, "We're on it," as the office manager was quoted in an email. Thinking that everything was taken care of, I went to my website to make some changes, and lo-and-behold... The changes would not upload. After spending at least 1/2 a day on the phone with my old server, and now my new server, which I was told from The Studio that everything would be taken care of, the problem was still not resolved. Another excuse, or someone else to blame for not following up. Basically I have been tossed up the river without a paddle. I know that I am a small account (and almost every time I get on the phone with The Studio, they put me right in that place again), but I have to say, or if it is just me, the customer service at The Studio was horrible through just about every experience I had with this company. I hope that this company reads my Yelp rating. Hey, any criticism, bad or good, is helpful to know, especially when it comes from those who wrote you cheques for your decent services, but had to put up with your poor customer service. What you do with this criticism is up to you and the future growth of your business. I am extremely frustrated and unhappy with the customer service of this group. And guess what, I am so frustrated and unhappy, that I am writing this review even before my website is fixed and up and running again by The Studio. Hey The Studio, I would be glad to go over with you why I am complaining, just give me a call. Heck, I'll even answer your email or text if that's how you want to "hear" it from me. Good Luck out there everyone!

Michelle and Becky were so creative with the shots, capturing both precious candids and more formal posed pictures. We didn't just want a video, we wanted a true reflection of our love and the joy we felt. Trenton & Bethany delivered that and more--they captured every meaningful moment beautifully and seamlessly. Like many couples, we had concerns going into the process. Our biggest fear was finding someone who was just in it for the money and wouldn't give us the attention our special day deserved. Trenton completely put those worries to rest. He and his wife took the time to get to know us--not just as clients, but as people--so that they could understand our story and what we wanted out of our wedding film. It was clear that they genuinely cared about creating something amazing for us, and that dedication was evident in the final product. The process was so much more than just shooting our wedding. The Storybuilding Session was one of the highlights for us and allowed them to get a sense of our past and our vision for the future, making sure everything was planned to capture the essence of our love. We would have probably waited until the last minute to write our vows, and they wouldn't have been nearly as meaningful as they were without the guidance we received. On the wedding day itself, Trenton and his team was absolutely incredible. They worked seamlessly with our timeline and made sure they captured all of our dreams for the day. They were flexible, adaptable, and went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. We didn't have to worry about a thing--we could just focus on enjoying our day while knowing we were in good hands. When we finally received our wedding film, we were blown away. It beautifully showcases the effortless joy of our day, capturing moments of love, laughter, and emotion in such a genuine and natural way. We couldn't be more grateful for the care and effort they put into every detail. And to top it all off, FilmLife went above and beyond by providing us with extra photos, a longer video, and even a same-day edit--none of which we had asked for or paid for. Their generosity truly showed how committed they are to making every couple's experience special. If you're considering FilmLife for your wedding, don't hesitate. We know that budget can be a concern for many couples, but we can honestly say that every penny spent was worth it. The memories they've helped us create are priceless, and we will cherish this film forever. It's something that our loved ones, children, and even grandchildren will be able to watch and treasure for years to come. We wholeheartedly recommend FilmLife to any couple looking for a wedding videographer who will go above and beyond to capture the magic of their day. Their attention to detail, personal approach, and outstanding work made our wedding day even more unforgettable. You won't regret choosing them!

Trenton caught the beautiful soft spoken side of my husband- the side I see which he isn't very vulnerable with people. Trenton made sure to have meetings and allowed us to feel comfortable. We were so excited to have had such amazing shots of the wedding and venue. Everything flowed together so well- the color grading was extraordinary, and the overall vibe of the film was The Lazaros. Thank you film life. Also the value was very much worth it. I recommend them if you want a FILM not just a video.
