Great subs but not the most pleasant management...ordered to-go over the phone (I believe it was the manager) and the woman answering was very short with me. Then got to the store to pickup and I overheard the manager say under her breath "I don't know why all these people are ordering subs at 10 in the morning" (it was about 10:45 at the time). I don't care how early anyone comes in for food, if your sign says open at 10AM then you should be ready and willing to do your job starting at that time. You don't know how long some of these working people have been up, 10AM might be someone's lunch time because of how long they've been up that day. Just very unprofessional, only been to this location twice and both times I've gotten this "I don't want to be here" attitude from the manager. Called in an order for a salad and I knew to wait a bit to give them time to make the salad. When I got here to pick up and pay, one of the two young ladies was like ohhhh you had call in? Yes I did I replied. Oh I can make your salad now. I placed my phone order over 15 minutes only to arrive and wait an additional 5-10 minutes for my order. While waiting, the other employee was bad mouthing management in front of other customers. I've been coming here for years and never experienced such unprofessionalism and lack of leadership in my life. Management needs to make sure that their staff if fully trained on how not to conduct business without a manager onsite. They both had a nonchalant attitude about performing their duties and how to conduct themselves in the presence of paying customers. read more

I ordered a Greek salad with gyro meat. I called this order in and was told 10 min. to pickup. I arrived 15 min later and it was not ready. The lady behind the counter said that she had dropped it and was remaking it. Ok, accidents happen, I get it. She said the previous salad she had left off the onions and peppers. I reiterated that I wanted a Greek salad all the way with gyro meat. They charged me over 9.00 for this. I get back to the office and it has hardly any meat, no olives or feta cheese. Once again a bad experience at Substation in Raeford. They don't answer the phone for a hour because I needed to call ahead because we are eating from different places as usual when it comes to my family. So I dive all the way up there and walk in and the crew is cleaning up and told me they were closed. I said it says 10pm on the website and the door and the lady tell me they are closing early because of Easter tomorrow and they are cleaning up (What that got to do with anything IDK). By the way the never posted anything on the door about a Easter Schedule plus why do they still have the Open light turned on . It just seems like the hire addicts and I'm not saying everyone but you can tell which ones and they are not motivated to answer the phones or in no hurry to fix orders all the do is complain when the phone ring. I've been in there and personally saw these actions. I looked for a corporate number to call so I can give the specifics and a name. I love their food but with a couple of bad experiences at the Substation I'm about to stop buying food from there because I hate setting my mind on certain food and it doesn't fall through. read more

I would rate it "zero stars" if "zero stars" was an option. I called in my order at 1:14pm on Friday. The cashier took my order and said that it would be ready in 15-20 minutes. I arrive there at 1:35pm. The cashier (Black lady with a red short hair cut) was on the phone. After getting off the phone, she didn't even acknowledge me standing there. She just avoided me and address the 2 customers that were sitting down, waiting. She could have said, "I be with you in a minute". The cashier finally address me after the tending to 2 customers. Before I paid for my food, I specifically asked the cashier if my food was ready. She called out my order on the screen, and I confirmed that was my order. She said, "Yes, my order is ready." So I paid for my order. She didn't immediately give me my order. As I'm waiting for her to give me my order, she calls out my order again to confirm if it was mines. I lady that was on the phone had the same thing and was like that's my order and said I called in way longer. I'm thinking the lady gave my order to the lady. By then I was angry. She then try to play me by asking if I called the Rockingham location. I said no I called the Raeford location. She ask if Im willing to wait. I told her that I don't have time and I'm on my lunch break. She told the cook to make a grilled chicken salad and the cook cursing, saying that she just made a salad, and complaining about being hot. Her and the cook cussing back and forth while people are there witnessing this. I was going to just ask for a refund until she said that she will make it. So she makes the order, but made another customer order first. Remind you this person arrived after me. The man who she made the order first looked at me in disbelief and said "good luck". Another male customer that was waiting said to me quote, "Aren't you on your lunch break?" The way the other 2 customers said it was in disbelief in what I had to go through. She gave me my order afterwards. By then I was fed up!!! They wasted 20 minutes of my lunch break when I called in the order well in advance before signing out for lunch. I already have stressful job and value my hour break. This is totally unacceptable!!! The food is good, but the terrible customer service is not worth going. This is not the first time I had bad customer service at this restaurant. The last time I was there the employee there didn't acknowledge me there, when I asked if my order was ready. So eventually gave me my order. That was about 2 months ago. So I decided to give it another try. What I went through yesterday, I will never come to this restaurant again. Poor customer services, they're very unprofessional, rude, and messing up people's orders. Since this was our first time there, and what we ordered was good -we will be going back We ditched subway a long time ago because employees were rude and prices have gotten ridiculous. 12.99 for a salad at the subway we went to. I tried a lot of food here because I go there for lunch sometimes. Food is pretty decent for a chain restaurant. Ladies work really hard to get everybody served during busy lunch hours. They are very nice and helpful. Never really had any issues with the food. Portions are generous.Small issues like more crispy french fries are handled fast. Food is as fresh as it can be for restaurants like this. Some things are a bit overpriced especially if you wanna come every day. Gyros tastes good, salads are a good variety. Chicken wings are decent. The decor could use a lift but the Ladies are great. read more

Sub station II has the best salads in all surrounding areas. Their prices on all menu items are reasonable and the portions are worth every penny. I drive from Hope Mills to Fayetteville just to get their salads. They are huge and will feed 2 -3 people. Their homemade lemon twist ranch is so good that you'll never want regular ranch again. The staff is amazing they go above and beyond ensure to your order is correct. They work hard during the busiest hours to get you your food fast. I've been going to this spot for a little over a year now and I have never been given bad food, an incorrect order or bad service. I love the variety of things they have on the menu which makes it easy for a group with different wants to enjoy at one stop. Kudos to the staff!!! read more

I travel a ton and just happened to be working around Raeford. I stopped into the sub shop for lunch. Inside is old but not dirty. The staff was decently friendly but seemed scattered and lost. The girl who took my order didn't give me a receipt and seemed unsure of what was to go on the sub or how to ring up my order properly. Onto the sub. It's a good sub. The sweet wheat bread is amazing. The issue I have is that the next girl who was slicing meat wouldn't get out a couple of new meats and gave me pieces not slices of spicy ham and pepperoni. I love Italian style subs and this was just disappointing for a 10 dollar sub. It was thrown together and slack portions. I might try it again but it's doubtful. I am a huge fan of Sub station. The sandwhiches are on point! I love getting the reuben or turkey and cheese on sweet wheat. The sweet wheat are the same tasting rolls as outback steakhouse, I could eat them all day. The only reason I gave this a 4 not a 5 is because sometimes the staff isnt that great. I usually look out the window of my office to see if the blonde ladys (i think shes the manager) truck is there because she makes this place a 5! The food isn't bad, but there is a nearby subway that is the better choice. The main problem with this restaurant is the staff. When I asked what type of meat was one one sandwich (sliced ect.) the response I got was "I don't know I don't be eat'n all that stuff" to which I responded "oookay?" And went with a regular turkey sub. If I owned this establishment I would seriously consider auditing my staff. I know it sounds far fetched but it is the truth.
