Everyone was pleasant! Everyone had their own styles and collections. Everyone was highly professional. Fun vibes. I had my bridge re-pierced and got a tattoo done on a flash sale. It was more than expected and the placement was perfect. The piercer is great there. They were well knowledgeable. Princess Hannie was sweet and I love her cute styles. I got an animal crossing peach with two experience stars, pink and blue. read more

Sub Rosa Studios - Piercing Near Me - Christiansburg, Virginia

This place is outstanding. Great cleanliness standards, great customer service and straight to the point. I have had 3 tattoos and 3 piercings from this place done and they have all been amazing minus one getting infected(me issue) All the artists are beyond friendly and very good at what they do, they offer a variety of different artists with specific backgrounds in tattoos to meet your needs. Totally recommend this joint, as well as Mana Studios where some of the artists have recently moved to in Pulaski, they're great too and just opening! read more

the vibe is unreal here it's like you stepped into a daycare and the kids are running the show . This studio has a little talent not much to offer!!! They argue with each other in front of customers on the internet and in person. They'll ruin your reputation if you don't agree, I've seen the horrible things they say about their own staff imagine what they'll say about you. I'd advise steering clear from here I only went in for a tattoo and left completely disgusted just on how they treat people alone. whoever Amalie is she has created such an ill vibe because she's a poser and will do anything for attention read more

Big fan of Sub Rosa! I had both of my earlobes and two helixes pierced here in two separate visits, and I had a great experience both times. Atom (piercer) was super knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and professional, and he did a great job. He is also one of the only licensed piercers in the New River Valley! I've recommended Sub Rosa to plenty of friends and even accompanied some on their visits, and everyone has had a similarly positive experience. read more

Had Atom do my conch piercing and it was great! He's a cool guy and I plan to get all my other piercings done here

My wife and I got our very first tattoos here and it was an awesome experience. We did a walk-in, there was about a 5 hour wait but the staff was so accommodating and communicated with us to make sure we came back to the shop on time to be seen as soon as possible. Luke._.Wolfe did our tattoo and he was fantastic! He took our very vague idea and turned it into exactly what we wanted in a tattoo, he was so cool and really made the experience for us. Really clean, excellent customer service, LGBTQ friendly!! read more

I had my nose pierced at SubRosa and I had zero complaints. The staff was friendly and the studio was clean. I had to wait about 20-25 minutes for my piercing, however, SubRosa is one of the only places to get a piercing in Christiansburg/Blacksburg so I wasn't surprised. I was also able to pierce my nose with a hoop, which was great. Ask for Atom, he's a hoot. read more

The lady who did my piercing was so mean and the people just seemed annoyed to help any customers. They don't have much patience and are pretty short with you if you ask any questions. read more

I've gotten three piercings here and two tattoos. 2/3 piercings done by Atom with the third done by an apprentice with Atoms supervision. Atom was super friendly and the experience was great. More jewelry options would definitely be nice (more internally threaded titanium jewelry). I ended up having some problems with healing due to jewelry but the piercings themselves were done well. Both of my tattoos were done by Dave and they turned out great. Scheduling and communicating for a tattoo appointment can be a little difficult and I never ended up getting a touch up on my second tattoo. The prices for both piercings and tattoos are great and overall, Sub Rosa is definitely one of the best places for piercings and tattoos in The NRV. read more

Absolutely the worst customer Service I've ever experienced in my life my friend wanted to get a tattoo and I wanted to get a piercing so I called them so we can both make appointments and they told me that we couldn't make an appointment for the tattoo so I asked him if I can make an appointment for my piercing however they told me I had to do it on messenger on Facebook I was messaging them on Facebook and they continuously left me on read they finally answered me (after I kept messaging them) and told me that they had appointments for after 5 PM I asked them to make an appointment and they never answered me but they left me on read for all my messages!do not go here they do not care about their customers! We were going to spend a lot of money there too! Guess they don't want our business! read more

Not gonna lie, I was a nervous wreck getting my cartilage pierced. However, ATOM WAS GREAT and was keeping jokes going to distract me. He knew exactly what he was doing and was very patient with figuring it all out. Clean- YES Experienced- YES Good price- YES Looks great- DEFINITELY Highly recommend! read more

Have had nothing but great experiences here! I took my daughter to get her first daith piercing and they were wonderful - looks amazing. I've also walked in after one of my earrings broke and they were extremely fast to get me in and put a new one in (I doubt I was there even 10 min). Everyone was super polite and helpful. read more

I stopped by to ask a question about something that would replace my girlfriends earring since she wasn't allowed to wear certain jewelry in school and the guy was quite rude about it. He acted like he didn't want our business and just wanted us to leave. His tattoos and piercings might be good but service was crap. read more

Kari was the best! Very informative, explained what she was doing as she did it. Very clean facility and spacious. Highly recommend for all piercings read more

Nicole seemed visibly annoyed when I kept asking her to change the design, even though it still didn't look like the picture. She then applied way too much pressure and couldn't even get the lines right. I will not be going back for my free touch up I regret getting my first tattoos there. read more

used to be a stellar shop. something happened 2-3 years ago and I couldnt tell you what. now they have a mediocre piecer who people complain about a lot, front desk who is rude, and all the good artists don't stay long. an apprentice (maybe not apprentice now?) thong was the best they had to offer, honestly the best work I've ever seen from the shop. but I wouldn't be surprised if he went to start his own shop like the other good artist who worked there and left. read more

I'm not stating opinion, I'm just stating facts of how I was personally treated. I informed them from the get-go that I had a SEVERE nickel allergy. Atom did the piercing and he was great. When my belly button piercing hadn't healed in 2 months, I tried to get an appointment. After contacting them AGAIN after WEEKS OF NO RESPONSE, I got an appointment with Kari. Meanwhile, I had gone to my dermatologist who diagnosed the issue as a severe nickel allergy. Kari informed me that Atom was not doing piercings except on Sundays, and she was taking over for him and that she had 1 year of experience. When I told her what was going on, she immediately challenged my doctor's diagnosis. She said that the jewelry didn't contain nickel. I told her their jewelry vendor was perhaps not being honest with them, because skin doesn't lie. She put the SAME jewelry back in with larger metal balls on each end and said to give it a week. The skin reaction to the jewelry became worse and after consulting with several Master Piercers, neither related nor affiliated with Sub Rosa, the consensus was the jewelry had to be taken out due to a severe allergic reaction to the jewelry. Now, I will have to wait a year or more before another piercing can be attempted. A very unhappy customer. read more
