When we moved down here, we tried every fast-food place for all of our favorites. Sub Doctors by far is the BEST sub place ever! Sometimes we even go there for a quick breakfast sandwich while we are out on the run. Kevin has been there since our day one visit and yesterday when I went there l learned he recently purchased the place. I am certain, he will succeed since he was a huge part of the place and success with the previous owner. We wish him the best of luck and know we will be back! Delicious roast beef with tangy deli mayo. Would be five stars but I would recommend a better roll for the subs. Not a harder roll but one that tastes less generic- less like white bread. Service was friendly (even with a few difficult customers) and accurate. Price was reasonable. Definitely stopping in more often. read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE WE HAVE EVER DELT WITH!! our office orders weekly from this place. We was missing a sauce so we called in. The said they couldn't help us because *so they say* we didn't order it. But we did. No reason for us to lie or cause and issue with a place we order in bulk from all the time. Instead of saying oops must of been a mistake or someone must of misheard. They straight up shut us down and said sorry can't help you. Sub Doctor has become our go to sub shop in the area. Roast beef or Cheese Steak are great choices. I do wish the fries were better. If they got crinkle cut fries, they would dominate! When they are at full flail, there can be a little wait. That's fine. read more

Absolutely terrific sandwich shop! The Philly cheese steak is the best Philly cheese steak I've ever had. I highly recommend getting a whole sandwich regardless of how much you eat so you can have left overs. read more

If you go, get the chicken, cheddar, bacon, and ranch....it's awesome. The people working there are always nice and I've never had a bad experience after eight years. Yelp keeps telling me to keep it up so I guess I'll tell a story. One of the best days of my life was when I was skiing up in the Poconos. I had just hurt my leg after attempting a pretty gnarly trick. Anyways I was in severe pain until one of my buddies came by with Sub Doctors. We stopped in because we were starving. It is a hole in the wall place, and the decore is lacking. However; it does smell good when you walk in. Also, everyone was super friendly. I decided to try the meatball marinera. It was not to me a good sandwich. Why? The meatballs - delicious The cheese - Ditto The Bread - Great flavor and nice chew, but too much. bread to meat was too heavy on the bread side. The Marinera - NOPE, not this guy. Tasted like canned sauce that had sugar added and heated up a little. The wife liked it more then I did. The fried zucchini was very nice. Nice size veg, light and crispy batter. Very good. Stopped here yesterday on my way to my second job for a quick bite to eat. It's very easy to drive by the place and miss it. Inside looks a little iffy but don't judge a book by its cover! While I was deciding on what kind of sub I wanted, someone had called to place what seemed like a big order over the phone. I went with the turkey sub with provolone and it was fantastic. Someone in this review section mentioned that this place gets their bread at a local bakery. Even better. Shared the sub with my manager and recommended this place to her. Forget Jersey Mike's. One of the best if not the best sub shop in Ocean County. Reasonably priced, good quality cold cuts, more than generous portions and an unbeatable weekend special. Today had a whole ham and swiss(monstrous) and a half eggplant parm which was terrific. It's a little out of the way for me but well worth the trip whenever I make it. Been going there since it opened, great subs cut fresh to order. This it your basic old school sub shop, if your looking prosciutto and soppressata your not gonna get it here go to a deli for that fancy stuff. Come to Sub Doctors for a simply great sub. My go to is the number 7 Club House: roast beef, turkey, provolone, with Lettuce, Tomato, Bacon, and Mayo. A half is on a 7 inch sub roll, and a whole is on a 14 inch sub roll. read more

Went to Sub Doctors for lunch today, this place is clean , prices are very reasonable, staff is friendly and fast so I don't know what happened today but my chicken salad was lousy. The mayo was extremely sour tasting, $6.00 down the drain, cheese fries however were yummy ! Usually this is an awesome place to go for subs so I'm hoping this was a fluke and not a sign of lowering their normally high standards. Always very busy. read more

Some of the best subs around. Fresh, beautiful sub rolls & fresh, great tasting cold cuts. The people working there were very nice. The location if you're using your GPS is difficult. Subs are better than ones you would find at convenience stores. as far as local sub shops better than most, but not as good as some others. Employees are friendly. The place is not much to look at inside or outside. It is in a strip mall so you have to really look for it so you don't pass it. I am not sure if they are buying their rolls from some place else, but the last time I went I did not think the roll was a good as they used to be. Prices have gone up recently and the amount of meat and cheese put on the subs have shrunk. I can understand one of them happening, but both is not acceptable. read more
