But I couldn't call them back and inform them of the issue because they were closed. Called the next day an spoke to a gentleman willing to assist me to set up an appointment, and informed me of the next available dates in the week. I called back with in minutes because I had to confirm other dates and the women I spoke to refused to give me appointment dates saying they no longer had appointments that week. She lacks professional customer service skills. My husband had an appointment the day prior and stated the dental assistant is rude and they did not check his insurance prior to his visit so only did x-rays and had to schedule another day for cleaning. Having a background in the dental field, the customer service and procedure protocol is does not meet the dental office standards. New patient procedure should be as follows: 1.Paperwork, History and discuss any concerns you have. 2. Medical History Review 3. Oral Health Evaluation 4. X-rays 5. Cleaning and Polishing 6. Discussion and Recommendations of findings. 7. Treatment Planning 8. Scheduled Follow-up Glad they canceled my appointment. Saved me from a bad experience.

From day one they have known me by name every time I have come into the office, they have taken extra care to ensure that I have sunglasses for the lights and squeeze balls for the stress. They use a special "dry field" on me when doing work because the feeling of saliva collecting triggers a drowning response in me. Every little concern I have is immediately addressed. Incredible. I came for my first couple appointments while being prescribed anxiety medication by the dentist, and I got super comfortable. When I did get too scared one time, they let me reschedule for no fee and when I came back the next time I sat like a champ! This has been a life changing experience for me. I can drive myself to the dentist and get a crown like nobody's business because these compassionate people gave me the support I needed to get over my fear. I've been going here for nearly half a year, on a journey to get all of my teeth fixed, and now that it's nearly complete I'm actually a little sad I'll only get to come every six months for a cleaning. She was charged $138. Per housing ( which are little rubber gaskets placed on a denture post to prevent movement, for those who aren't familiar) which were placed by a technician not even the Dr. Then another $102 for grinding on the denture, again by the technician. My mom is a cash paying patient no dental insurance. She left the office paying over $500 for literally a job which her former dentist charged $104 total for this procedure. The only reason I gave 2 stars was because it was conveniently located. What a rip off for the elderly. I would definitely go elsewhere if you are elderly and cash paying.

I had a previous dentist recommend I have 9 (!!!) cavities and previous cavities refilled and I felt that I was being scammed, decided to get a second opinion and I am so glad I did. He took secondary X-rays free of charge and told me that he did see a very small one, but nothing to be worried about and that we would get it taken care of. Highly recommend Dr. Carter!!
