I understand that offices can get busy, ( they were not busy I was the only one checking in )but professionalism and basic courtesy go a long way--especially in a healthcare setting where patients may already feel anxious. I hope the office can address this and improve the front desk experience for future patients.

The staff here is friendly and efficient. If I ever have any questions about dental care, they are more than happy to help. Most recently, I asked about home whitening products, and I was told that there is a special on professional whitening. Normally around $400, professional whitening is now just $150. I was able to get my molds completed that same day. I love Dr. Sanchez and his staff, and I would highly recommend Atwater Family Dental Care to anyone in the area.

I have been struggling with accessing dental care due to anxiety for the last 15 years. I explained…read moreto the staff upon my initial consult that I am really scared/need extra support. From day one they have known me by name every time I have come into the office, they have taken extra care to ensure that I have sunglasses for the lights and squeeze balls for the stress. They use a special "dry field" on me when doing work because the feeling of saliva collecting triggers a drowning response in me. Every little concern I have is immediately addressed. Incredible. I came for my first couple appointments while being prescribed anxiety medication by the dentist, and I got super comfortable. When I did get too scared one time, they let me reschedule for no fee and when I came back the next time I sat like a champ! This has been a life changing experience for me. I can drive myself to the dentist and get a crown like nobody's business because these compassionate people gave me the support I needed to get over my fear. I've been going here for nearly half a year, on a journey to get all of my teeth fixed, and now that it's nearly complete I'm actually a little sad I'll only get to come every six months for a cleaning. If you're scared of the dentist but want to try again - Dr Eric Cheung is a little bit busy but he's very kind and respectful. His staff however are some of the best humans. The receptionist, the hygienist and the dental assistant all know me by name and have made me feel so safe! You guys rock!

No one likes going to the dentist, right? Neither do we. We LOVE it! No, seriously…read more.. My family has been seeing Dr. Ronald Carter for about 8 years, and we have loved every single visit. All 3 of our children love going to see the dental assistants and hygienists that clean their teeth and take xrays. They take such wonderful care of their pediatric patients. Our youngest was only 2 when we started her off on "tooth counting" visits (checking baby teeth for signs of decay or other obvious visual issues; did not include a cleaning). They didn't have to see her that young, but encouraged the visits to get her used to coming in routinely and make her feel comfortable. I have no doubt that has contributed to her overall good dental health. Every single employee is kind, friendly, professional and highly-knowledgeable. Lastly, but very importantly, Dr. Carter is a total gem. While he falls in the range of a more "mature" practitioner, he is using all the current technology, has a WEALTH of wisdom in dentistry, and has the most calming presence. He always has a nice story to share, and treats the kids like they are one of his own grandchildren. This is truly a "Family" practice dental office! Also of note: There is a long-time staff retention at this office. In all the time we have been there, there has been no change in staff, other than one front-office employee being replaced, and hiring a new assistant when the business recently moved into a beautiful new office with more space. In this day and age, a happy staff usually means happy patients, and this is certainly the case here. Thank you Dr. Carter, and all of your wonderful team!
