I went to hamilton mill dental associates for years with Dr Mary then she sold the practice to Dr…read moreKim and Dr Patel. All of a sudden every time I went to the dentist I had cavities, need crowns etc. My most recent trip they told me I had a cavity back on my molar that needs to be filled. I said to Dr Patel, that I just had that filled by Dr Kim on my prior visit. She insisted that it was different, but I remember it because I endured the pain to get it filled. Upon my return trip for the filling, Dr Patel stated it was 2 cavities needed to be filled?!! I was like all of a sudden it is 2 cavities when my estimate stated only 1. Dr Patel started drilling away and about 30 mins in she stopped drilling and said to me, I am doing my best but the cavity is in between my back molar and the adjacent tooth. She also stated it could possible need a root canal if the filling doesn't work. I said I came to fill 1 cavity that turned into 2 cavities and now you are saying possible a root canal ?? Then I rolled my tongue across the area and was SHOCKED to feel my molar bored out so much that was there any tooth left?? I asked her why she bored out, what felt like my whole tooth, so much of my tooth and she stated because of the cavity touching 2 teeth. Right then I knew this was the exact area where Dr. Kim tried to fill. I told her that Dr Kim must have done it wrong, because she is telling me the cavity was underneath the filling. Common sense tells you the cavity wasn't done right the first time. So she continued drilling and about 1 1/2 hours later I left with swollen lip,do to the assistant stretching my mouth so far, and a prognosis of a possible root canal if this filling doesn't work. A couple of months later I went to a different dentist, for my 2nd cleaning for the year, and he tells me that my tooth needs a root canal. Now facing a $3000.00 root canal when this new dentist looked at the tooth she told me she could not do a root canal because my tooth was FRACTURED and needed to be pulled!!! She stated the previous dentist took out so much of the tooth that it fractured and could not be saved. So they pulled my right molar. Now this is my steak chewing tooth and now I need a $5000.00 implant!!!!! If you value your teeth do NOT go to Hamilton Mill Dental Associates because they will nickel and dime you to death and possible fracture your teeth!!! I had a crown come out from them and they couldn't see me for three days to fix it and then told me you should never go this long to get a replacement....I said that y'all would not work me in. Again Crowns should NOT come off unless they were done incorrectly the first time!! Again another$1500.00!! BEWARE of this office!!!! Stay away!!! Or you will be returning every time you have a cleaning!!!!! Please take my advice!!!! Dr. Patel is too inexperienced to be drilling anything in your mouth and the associates push down so hard with suction that your inside of your mouth will get cut, bruised or torn. Every Dentist I have been to ALWAYS puts Vaseline on your lips to prevent the trauma!!! If you love your teeth and want to keep them DO NOT VISIT HAMILTON MILL DENTAL ASSOCIATES !!!!

When calling for hours to find an oral surgeon for an urgent condition, I was blessed enough to speak with Isabelle. She answered my questions about insurance and was able to fit me in that afternoon due to a cancellation. Isabelle was very helpful, kind, and extremely calming and caring when I was very anxious and worried. When I arrived, I checked in with Jessie who had a personality that was welcoming, friendly, and very bubbly. Together Isabelle and Jessie were a dream team and went above and beyond for me. Both ladies had such positive attitudes, were so respectful to one another with the kind words they used when interacting with one another and the other patients. I met with Dr. Cho who was very timely, direct, informative, and suggested an immediate plan of action. Dr. Cho answered all of my questions thoroughly and allowed me to me to feel at ease and I instantly felt very confident snd comfortable with my upcoming surgery. The team was able to fit me in right before Christmas, as opposed to having to wait until January, which was beyond appreciated. Jessie stayed late to call insurance companies, after her work hours and even called me to give me an update on what to expect. This is unheard of in a world of mediocre at best service and communication. Jessie's clear communication and immediate follow-up were amazing! She scheduled my procedure for the following day, amazingly! Another member of the team called me to follow up after the procedure was completed to see how I was feeling and asked did I have any questions or concerns since arriving home. Together the team resolved my issue and made it such a positive experience. Overall, this team was amazing and such a blessing to me! Their kindness, professionalism, and exceptional service were appreciated and I want them to be recognized and applauded for the role each played in getting me back to being healthy. You guys were outstanding!

MALPRACTICE AND NIGHTMARE!!!…read more Please do not fall for her background description on her website! She does not specialized in implant dentistry at all!!! My orthodontist referred me to Dr. Kim. Even though it was a one-hour drive, I still chose to see Dr. Kim because trust was something that could not be replaced by distance. She did my dental cleaning, tooth extraction and bone grafting. However, my nightmare started with bone grafting.... I needed dental implant for two of my teeth, after she did the bone grafting I went back for a checkup about 3 month later; Dr. Kim touched my gum during my checkups and scheduled me for the implant. I did not realized at the time but: No X-ray or CT before and after bone grafting. Dr. Kim simply used her "magic hand" to touch my gum and decided it was ready to place the implant. On the day of implant, there was no X-ray or CT scan either, she simply cut my gum open and a few moments later, she told me my bone was too thin to do the implant. She had to close my gum...she then suggested me to see an oral surgeon. She said the only way I could get a dental implant was to take a small piece of jawbone from my body and place it in the missing tooth area to create ideal bone condition for implant. (None of the oral surgeons I seek for second opinion agreed with Dr. Kim's opinion, they all insisted my case was simple and general dental implant was good to go) Poor bedside manner: I was lying there, numbed (local anesthesia), my gum was cut wide open..., all I heard was Dr. Kim was running here and there, looking for things, murmured negatively and then told me that she could do nothing. Yes. With my gum was still cut open and not being able to talk yet. Outdated and irresponsible bone grafting/dental implant: 1). Here in Dr. Kim's office, you will not be treated with PRP/PRF procedures, which is to draw patient's own blood and centrifuge before bone grafting to optimize healing. In the email I addressed this question, asking her why they she did not apply this treatment; she explained, "PRP/PRF can help for better healing but nothing is guaranteed". Then why the oral surgeons I visited for second opinion use this method without any hesitation. They all take PRP granted as a necessary procedure of bone grafting. One thing for sure, this office has no such machine to centrifuge blood. 2). Dr. Kim's office does not have any CT scanner equipment, in which case how could she handle bone issues before placing her scalpel?! Oh, instead of using any mature technology, she preferred to open her patient's gum and check bone condition. While we the patients took the pain and risk gum recession issues...it was reckless!!! Funny that when I asked her why you didn't prescribe me any CT scan beforehand? She said, "It's cheap". You know what, this whole dental office is cheap! As a dentist, you want to set foot in oral surgeon's area (dental implant) but reluctant to invest in a cone beam CT machine. At least you could have suggested your patients to get CT scan somewhere else. Honestly, Dr. Kim can handle general dental cleaning and some other regular checkup. But if you are like me, who is looking for dental implant, reading online reviews to identify and determine the right doctor to visit, please at least avoid Dr. Kim. She obviously is not knowledgeable enough to handle difficult miscellaneous problems. Please go seeking an oral surgeon, who specialize in tooth extraction and implant!

The front desk staff act like they don't even see you when you've just been standing in front of the door for several mins..... until you physically call them to open the door. You know they see you too, it's all glass doors in this plaza. Not to mention rude attitudes by these girls working the front. They have a "no-show" $50 fee, which is also stupid. They also constantly make mistakes on appointments. Dr. Sehee (Jenny) Kim talks in a very condescending way, constantly judges on your teeth and says unnecessary crap, which makes you feel very uncomfortable. She's always trying to nit pick at nothing to make more money and makes you come back over and over, completely wasting your time. She is so money hungry and talks to her staff in a rude way, even in front of patients. Talking about "that's 4 of my lunches" to the assistant as she makes a mistake. You're a dentist, be professional.... that's the bottom line. As soon as you sit down, the hygienist brings you a paper to sign forcing you to get flouride which is $75 out of your pocket. When you refuse, Dr. Jenny Kim comes in and asks WHY? WHY NOT? WHY? BUT YOU NEED IT. NO YOU WILL GET IT. Just really annoying talking to this dentist and dealing with everyone here.
