One of the main reasons I kept coming back was because my favorite nail technician works here. Otherwise, I would have stopped visiting a long time ago. On one visit, I asked for nothing more than a simple trim to remove my split ends. I left looking exactly the same as when I walked in. There was no visible difference, yet I was charged a premium price for a service that didn't deliver the result I requested. What bothered me even more was the atmosphere. Instead of feeling welcomed and comfortable, I felt watched the entire time. Some staff members would often look at clients while talking among themselves, which made me feel uncomfortable and unable to relax. Another thing I found unprofessional was that, during business hours while the salon was full of clients, the owner would sometimes gather a few employees in one corner of the salon. They would stand there laughing loudly and having conversations unrelated to work. As a customer trying to enjoy a service I was paying for, I found this distracting and unprofessional, and it took away from what should have been a relaxing experience. A salon should be a place where clients feel respected, comfortable, and valued. Unfortunately, that was never my experience here. The only reason I continued coming was because of my nail technician, who is talented, professional, and always did an excellent job. Sadly, the overall service and atmosphere have convinced me not to return, and I cannot recommend this salon.

Definitely recommend.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but after trying extensively to resolve this privately through…read moreboth the salon and Groupon, I feel obligated to share my experience. I booked a Russian gel manicure/pedicure at Glam Loft Salon via Groupon and paid approximately $150 total, including gratuity. Russian gel services are marketed as premium treatments expected to last significantly longer than standard gel (the Groupon listing advertised 5-6 weeks of wear). My manicure began lifting and chipping in fewer than 72 hours. The deterioration accelerated rapidly from there. By day 9, every fingernail showed substantial lifting. By day 12, all but one nail had fully lifted off entirely during completely normal activity. I have never experienced anything remotely comparable to either standard gel or Russian gel services elsewhere. The issues extended beyond longevity: * Several cuticles remained sore and irritated after the appointment.* The pedicure was not unaffected, despite later claims otherwise -- one toenail experienced lifting/chipping and another appeared to have been cut during service, leaving lingering discoloration and pain near the cuticle.* My appointment ended substantially sooner than the timeframe indicated in the confirmation materials.* The Groupon voucher included a complimentary scrub and mask, neither of which was provided. When I contacted the salon seeking resolution, the explanations shifted repeatedly over time. I was told the manicure may have failed because my nails were "short," because I may have been "moving" or "using my phone," and eventually because my photographs appeared to show "two weeks of growth," despite the documented timeline and timestamps I later provided. At another point, the salon acknowledged a problem and offered to redo the manicure while still declining any refund authorization. I was also uncomfortable with remarks made by the owner about other salons--specifically comments I interpreted as disparaging toward Asian-owned nail salons. Regardless of intent, the comments struck me as unprofessional and added to an experience that already felt dismissive once concerns were raised. Everyone can have an off day, and one imperfect service alone would not have prompted this review. What ultimately disappointed me was the inability to acknowledge legitimate concerns without repeatedly redirecting responsibility back to the client. I'm sharing this for anyone considering premium-priced Russian gel services here: my experience was that the results did not remotely match the advertised longevity or quality, and the follow-up resolution process was frustrating, defensive, and ultimately unsuccessful. (Note: I have retained dated photographs, timestamps, and correspondence documenting the progression and communication.)

Even after several weeks, my cuticles still look neat and well-maintained, which says a lot about the quality of their work. The salon is welcoming, professional, and consistent. It's not easy to find a place where the quality is so high across the entire team, but Sublime Beauty Salon has managed to do exactly that. Highly recommend!

I tried to get a walk-in appointment at a different nail salon two blocks away, but they were fully booked. I didn't know that most salons in Glendale require appointments. So, I called Marine Kristine Salon, and they were able to fit me in within the hour. The co-owner Kristine said she was already planning to come early to setup for another client, so the timing was perfect! Since the salon is by appointment only, I had a nice, private service. The salon was cute and clean with a foot spa and massage chairs. I usually get a regular pedicure, but opted for a gel pedicure for faster drying time. The service was pricier than my regular nail salon, but the quality was really superb! My pedicure is still holding up a month later with no chips. My nails feel very healthy and strong.
