My sister in law booked an appointment for me at Regis for an updo. I was expecting to have my hair…read moredone at 12pm and out by 1:30. When I got to the salon, I was told that my stylist was out for the day and they had replaced her with someone else in the interim. This other girl was busy and they asked me to come back in 15 minutes. Not a big deal. I came back and the girl still wasn't done. She then asked another stylist to work on part of my head and she would finish the rest. I picked the style I wanted for my updo and he proceeded to work on it. He was good. I don't know his name but I do know that he was very good. He finished my updo in about 40 minutes and it looked exactly like the picture. I was really satisfied with the work. Despite the scheduling snafu, I was happy with the outcome. I would recommend this salon. Ask for the guy, I have no idea what his name is, but I suspect hes the only guy working there.

This has go to be one of the cutest hair salons I've had the pleasure of visiting…read more I was in Anniston, AL for my cousin's wedding just a few weekends ago, and as part of the wedding day, she took all the ladies in the bridal party to the salon to get their hair done before the ceremony. We arrived at Studio Elite right around 11:30 AM and there were 7 or 8 of us that were getting made up. The owner of the studio met us at the front door and ushered us in to one of the larger rooms in her salon, where she'd set out a spread of cinnamon buns, homemade chicken salad sandwiches, water and lemonade and other goodies for us to nibble on as we waited our turn. It was so nice. And the whole experience was a lot of fun - women just sitting around talking and gossiping about anything and everything as we took turns. When she got to my hair, I told her to do whatever she saw fit with it (it's naturally very curly), and so she tamed it in the front with a flat iron then pinned it up in the back with several hundred bobby pins making it into one of those artfully messy updos that are so stylish and impossible to recreate on your own. It looked sensational. The best part was that at the wedding that night I was one of the few whose hair had stayed where it was originally styled (many of my straight-haired friends had lost some of the volume and curl they'd had hours earlier).
