i dont recommend this place for hair. Got mine done a few weeks ago and i went in there wanting a light brown came out with orange color. and very overpriced paid more than was told because my hair had different color and the lady didn't even let me know she was going to charge me $100 extra because of that she just corrected my hair color and charged me at the end without my consent! all she said at the end was oh am sorry i should of let u know i was going to charge you! yes wish you did i would of said nope and walked out read more

SHE DAMAGED AND FRIED MY HEALTHY HAIR. I've never gotten my hair done so bad that I wanted and needed to post about a review. I originally went to her because she was having a discounted hair inspo and it was more or less what I was wanting anyway so I booked with her. The whole time in my appointment she did not at once check to see how my hair was lifting and she told me she'd only leave the bleach in for 20 minutes but while I was waiting she was doing someone else's hair coloring and forgot about me so I noticed it had been 40 minutes that I actually had the bleach left in. I also made sure to let her know that i didn't want my hair to look all one color I wanted dimensions throughout unfortunately she left me with like only the top of my hair dyed and the rest of my hair she didn't touch at allll it look like I was wearing a wig and my untouched hair looked so healthy and beautiful she left me SUPER fried and overall now I'm left paying more to get it fixed plus the health of my hair rn is sooooo ad I regret ever going and hope to stop anyone else that tries to go hoping for great health results. I ended up going to someone else to fix and they even said they could NOT believe how she left me plus that hairdresser also told me she's had some clients come from her with results that they did not like as well as sooooooo much damage. And she didn't even take pictures of my hair after because she knew she messed up it was orange and so uneven. IM sorry to have left this review I'm just still super disappointed that she is getting away with clients hating what they pay to love. read more

Right now you need to call and make an appointment because of Covid. The salon felt very safe and sanitary. Lawana returned my call quickly and I made an appointment for the next day. She listened while I was trying to describe as the haircut I wanted. Then she made it happen. Lawana is very personable and easy to talk to. She was fast and efficient. I've been getting compliments from everyone, even men. I'm 64 yrs. old so that is nice. I'll definitely be going back. read more

I went in for a quick hair trim with a friend a while back as my ends were super dry and I like trying new salons out. Styles & Files is on my no-go list because they don't know how to handle curly hair. Why am I getting a trim from someone who has to straighten my hair first? The lady said she could do curly hair but had to damage it with a flat iron before she could trim it. My friend has pin-straight hair and her hair was horribly uneven afterwards. The stylist saw this and tried hiding it by curling the ends! Low quality salon but at least we didn't break the bank for a horrible hair cut. Btw, they haven't complied with any masks mandates. Take that as you will, but personally I care about my health. Nonetheless, I wouldn't waste my money here. read more

Look at the photos to see what a nightmare I experienced at this salon. I've been there before and both hair stylist precious to this one who cut my hair so bad JESENIA MEZA ( Jess) did a good job. JESENIA was very talkative about everything and got distracted about all going on. I told her I wanted my hair cut & styled no need for wash because my hair was already washed. When she was cutting my hair she kept having me face my back to mirror where i attempted at the times she wasn't cutting my hair to turn facing but she turned me back around where she even got my legs caught twice hurting me. I asked her yo flip out my hair and she curled it So that unfortunately made it hard for me to notice the disaster she did . I had to stop her with my bangs because she kept cutting them and as you see it was too late . I told her I had an event to go to that weekend and look what I had to go at . When I came home I noticed longer strands d as o I called her no response so I left message she didn't call back I had to go back there and we set appt When I arrived for her to fix my hair she was asking other stylist what she could do to my haircut disaster I found that very unprofessional not to mention another's stylist in put that was rude. I then left and she said she'd return my money back on Venmo how I paid her and she never did and I sent her 2 days of messages to see at this but she has ignored her accountability and word . I'll be looking out to see if she messes up another's hair . She needs more schooling in cutting hair and mouthwash as it results her bad breath. read more

Today was my second visit and it was just as good as the first. I initially came in as a walk in appointment. I work in the Bay Area and live in Sanger on the weekends and when I couldn't see my colorist in San Jose in an act of desperation I attempted to do a box dye job to hold me over until I could get another appointment. It came out horrible I had these awful bands, it was bad. I waited a week but it was going be at least another two before I could get appointment and pro image, at first I went to super cuts and they wouldn't touch it, so then I found the salon closest to me that would take walk ins and from there I was in Lawana's capable hands. She was super nice and optimistic about my situation I thought for sure It would take several sessions before my hair was anything back to normal. She really came through and I walked out the salon a gorgeous strawberry blonde. She was way nicer than my old colorist and her prices were far more reasonable. When the time came for the root touch up I called the salon again and Lawana fit me in that morning. The second appointment was even better than the first and I'm on track to being the color I was before I botched it with a box dye. I would absolutely recommend Lawana, I haven't had my hair cut or colored but all of the women there are very friendly and seem to be having a good time when I am there. Atmosphere is great. I love this place. I go in for pedicures and Esmer is amazing. Such a sweet woman and she really takes her time to make sure your toes look great. She's never hurt me or been too rough.
