During my last visit July 25, 2026, there was a shortage of staff due to an event the employees were attending at Noon on a Saturday. The stylist I booked with was leaving early for the day and Ashley did my gel manicure. I was concerned because my polish, even gel) doesn't last longer than 7-10 days. Ashley took her time and even recommended a polish to strengthen my nails. I was amazed my manicure lasted one month!!! Will definitely return for my next manicure.

This place is amazing!! I went to get a hair cut and color by Jen yesterday and it was an awesome…read moreexperience on every possible level. First of all, the haircut and color turned out great. This was the first time I've ever liked my haircut without having to "get used to it" for a few weeks (even though I usually go to salons)! Most places either cut my hair way in a way that's way too feminine or way too masculine, but I was able to explain what gender expression I was going for and go from there!! But the best part for me was how safe, calm, and welcoming the whole experience made me feel. Jen was super sweet and asked me for my pronouns (you can also select "nonbinary" as your gender when signing up!! Which is so validating!!) and the prices aren't based on gender, just on the services you pick!! Jen also made me tea and gave me an arm/hand massage!! I normally don't feel comfortable with people touching me even if I know them, but I felt comfortable enough to say yes to that!! I didn't even know that LGBTQ+ inclusive salons existed and I'm so so happy to have found a place that's so comfortable and affirming!! This salon is great for everyone, but I will definitely be recommending them to my other trans and nonbinary friends!!! Thank you all so much!!!

I was willing to give another shot because I was so happy with my first visit, so I booked again recently, about a month in advance, for a cut & balayage (3 hour, $350+ appointment). My appointment was confirmed a few days after, but was cancelled the day before due to something coming up personally, again. I understand that things happen, but twice in a row for appointments that are both for BIG occasions that left me with no time to go else where. Just as stylists expect clients to respect their time, I think it should work both ways. For the physical hair service I DID receive, I was happy, but the customer service & reliability, in my opinion & experience, is not good & the reason for my review.

I love my haircut! ! Do not recommend her for basic highlights or color !…read more I went to Megan when I found her website online when I "Googled" color specialist "near me". I took several photos with me to a consultation appointment a week before my color visit, unfortunately it didn't work out. The cost for partial baylage and cut =$150 plus tip. My hair looked nothing like the photos, which was a simple ash brown/blonde baylage. My hair was purple, blue, green and yellow. When I reached out to her she said this was a normal fade process and she offered to re tone my hair but couldn't get me in til the very last day of her " RE- DO POLICY " I saw several other color specialist at two other local salons they both said re - toning my hair would not even come close to fixing or get my hair anywhere near the photos and I had to start corrective color process to get back to straight brown hair which was $95. Love the haircut! Wouldn't recommend for any type of color . Communication wasn't great. No sense of urgency to stand behind her work. I reached out to her two days after allowing the 48 hour "curing " time she recommended and she didn't respond for two days then mentioned the last day of her "re - do policy " is the only day she could squeeze me in. The photos posted are the photos I shared with her at my consultation appointment and she said was attainable, also are the photos of what I received and one photo of my hair before any processing at all.

I've been going to Tease for three years and I love it!…read more I always make an appointment via phone call with Jenny. The whole process is pretty simple and they send out text reminders to keep you on track! The salon itself is really cute. I would say it's rustic-chic. If you get there early, there's a cute sitting area and coffee! I know haircuts can be pretty subjective, but I've never had any problems with Jenny. I personally always hate making small talk when I go to the hair salon, but I don't feel awkward about it at Tease. All of the other stylists seem personable as well! I would definitely recommend Tease for anyone looking got a new salon on the West Side. It has a great atmosphere and very talented stylists!

I'm still incredibly happy with my cut however I'm incredibly unhappy about my coloring. 4 days after leaving I washed my hair and my hair turned VERY yellow/gold--exactly what I said I didn't want. I messaged her on a Monday--she responded the next day and apologized and told me "sometimes with the lightning it ends up being a bit yellow" (that's never happened to me). Requested I give it a few more washes and another week and she would then tone it. (Toning would darken--not lighten). She said she looked over my photos and said when I left the salon she thought she did what I wanted--she did however it washed out. I messaged her to let her know that I went some place else. Where I was informed that she did not leave it on my hair long enough and it was not blended well at all. I had paid $360 (with tip, to Mallory). She not only didn't offer to refund ANY of my money, she also didn't even apologize that I had went someplace else. I would never go back to her based on the lack of response and refund. Terrible.
