They have everything you could want... except politeness. I simply asked for a $2 discount on a dress because I was going to have to change all the wood buttons. They didn't go with the style of dress. But it was totally no big deal if not. However, I was totally EMBARRASSED by the LOUD discussion and EYE ROLLING as 2 women had a completely petty discussion throwing lots of mean girl looks my way. It's a consignment shop. Just thought I would ask and see. Not a big deal. But after they decided NO they had to come tell me LOUDLY how they would not because someone else may love ugly wood buttons and I was missing out on a discounted item. The fat, older lady behind the counter stated instead of Good Morning, "We don't accept trash." Had clothes in a suitcase and in a black bag. Later in the day, I received a phone call from the store. " My items were not in season, but I could donate them. Don't tell people we donate clothing." Well, that made me realize this is not a legitimate business transaction. Told the girl their website is deceptive. She went on to explain they are updating their Facebook page because it was hacked. That the police dept. is looking into this!!! When I went to pick up my clothes instead of donating them, they were brought to me in a clear trash bag. Guess they have problems with darker trash bags. BEWARE!!!! read more

Hate to even give it a full star here. I don't even think they deserve a half star- Customer courtesy is key to the success or failure of any business. I should know we own a few. At 11:51 am today Sunday July 13, 2025, we were strolling around the shopping area after enjoying Brunch at Mandina's Mandeville we noticed this little shop for the first time. All the lights were on and the door was UNLOCKED. Intrigued I told my husband I wanted to go in and check it out and I can always come shop a little more another day if I wanted to spend time and MONEY. Whoever the woman that was standing near the counter didn't bother to greet us or even bother to kindly ask us to wait until "opening hours" (12:00 pm on Sunday) - she just roughly snapped across the store, we're not open yet. No apologies for the door being open and all the lights on indicating that we were welcome, no come on in while we finish up our opening daily procedures just we're not open yet. Her tone made us both feel we had committed some terrible offense. Glad she never asked me for a job when I had my Metairie Road Clothing boutique. Pretty safe to say, I'm likely never going back there. It's a shame to loose a potential new customer for a lousy 9 minutes of looking around and purchasing goods to pay you to be rude to someone else. read more

yelp page said store opens at 11am on Sunday. incorrect - opens at noon. staff rude and ambivalent towards customers - especially those who bring in clothes to be sold. I was supposed to receive a text when they had gone through my 2 bags of clothes. saw bags sitting in counter. waited 15-20 minutes and finally asked if they were done. oh, yes, was the reply. we don't want any of your stuff today. meanwhile they saw me standing there and went about folding clothes - not even helping other customers. Rude, rude, rude! I brought in some items to sell and was talked to like I was an inconvenience. I was talked down to by one of the employees and when the other one tried to help me, the first one made her stop. I was never called to let me know that my items had been processed until several days later when I was told if I didn't pick them up by close of business that day my cash would be turned into store credit. After traveling an hour away to shop at my favorite Style Encore location they were closed 3 hours earlier. When asked why were they closed and would they be opening the doors before 8pm the associate got an attitude. I will never return due to the disrespect given in the attitude. read more

I have always a found awesome items at Style Encore!! The employees are also very helpful. When I bring clothing in sometimes they buy a lot and sometimes not much - I guess it depends on what season we are in or what they are needing. Love shopping here. read more

The manager/whoever was running the front desk was so rude and unwilling to answer any questions, interrupting and being combative instead.

Horrible customer service. The receipt does say no returns on shoes but they did not verbally tell me at the counter when checking out. If they had, I would have not purchased them. I tried to sell them back and they gave me seven dollars for two pairs of shoes that I paid $50 for total. I see I should've read the receipt but final sales should always be communicated to the customer before purchase. The manager was not pleasant at all and couldn't understand what the problem was and then randomly said they were short staffed and offer me a job. ????? So weird. Safe to say I will not be back to sell or buy from them. read more

I've heard women in my small group talking about this place. I've gone by a few times and have noticed a few of the same ladies so that's a good thing. It's hit or miss of course with the selections. Customer service is not good. When I walked in there were ladies at the register hanging clothes. They seemed a bit aloof. I expected a warm greeting with little or no folks there. read more

The employees are rude, always talking about people and what they are trying to sell. Rude comments like look at this trash or this is garbage. They want to give little or nothing for great stuff. The racks are packed with the same OLD stuff. Consider buying some different stuff...maybe it will sell. read more

I've been to this store several times & each time I've found something nice/new with original tags at a great price. Example: I found a like-new genuine leather jacket from Style&Co for $20. A like-new Coach purse for $60. Can't beat those kind of bargains...I'll definitely be back. One drawback: no formal gowns:( read more

I gave this place a second try after having no success the first time, and will never come here again. They have no idea about designers, they pretty much just want Coach, Marc Jacobs, Lululemon and only names they are familiar with. They turned down my Lovers friends LA, ASOS, and Nasty Gal items. I brought in items with tags on them, also ones like new, and they rejected those and took my 5 year old Lululemon. The clothes they reject they will "donate" for you, though I'm positive I saw at least 2 rejected items of mine in the shop the second time. So unless you have only the brands they think are "cool", don't waste your time. Finally, the staff always says your order will just take a minute. You're guaranteed to be there for almost 45 minutes. read more
