About 2 months ago I purchased a dress from Nordstsroms and thought I might need to adjust the…read morelength because but I wanted to check at home with the shoes I planned to wear. At the time I purchased the dress there was a sign in the dressing area that outlined the cost for alterations including no charge for basic alterations including hem. Also, complimentary/no charge hemming was for full priced clothing items. I purchased my dress at full price. Just recently I made an alterations appointment at Nordstroms for the hemming and when I arrived at the dress department they called an alterations employee who quickly and efficiently pinned a shorter hem. We noticed at the alterations price list that we saw a couple months early was no longer there but didn't think much of it. When the alterations employee was done she said to get dressed and they will "ring me up at the register" which peaked my ears because I was expecting to have it done at no charge. The salesperson told us it was $71 and I questioned the cost referencing the alterations price list we had on our phone and she said that applies only if you have a Nordstrom's credit card. Interesting response since the alterations sign made no mention of it applying only to Nordstroms credit card holders. We ended up paying the fee and left the store. We subsequently walked around Scottsdale afterwards and this interaction just kept gnawing at me so we decided to get some answers from a store manager. I found a store manager, Eileen, at the order pick-up area of the third floor. I have to say that our conversation with Eileen was one of the most pleasant and productive conversations I have had with the store manager...not that I talk to many! Eileen patiently listened to our experience, expressed that she valued our time and loyalty to Nordstroms. She ultimately called the alterations manager to meet us on the third floor with my pinned dress. The alterations manager was also very pleasant but she described what would qualify as complimentary which I cannot imagine any skirt or dress being complimentary based on the restrictions. I then asked to have my alterations order cancelled because I already have an alterations person who I know would hem the dress for less and within 3 days...I was quoted 2 weeks before my dress would be done at Nordstroms. Eileen stated the dress had already been hemmed so she worked on another solution that was satisfactory. My caution to anyone planning to get alterations done at Nordstroms is to ask the cost BEFORE they pin your garment. Personally I don't like surprises.

I am extremely disappointed with the customer service I received from Gucci at the Scottsdale…read morelocation in Phoenix AZ on August 6, 2026, at approximately 1:45 p.m. I was told that my belt would be exchanged for a larger size, but the exchange was never completed as promised. When I contacted the store for assistance, the associate was rude, dismissive, and ultimately hung up on me. This behavior is completely unacceptable, especially from a luxury brand with Gucci's reputation and prices. It is incredible that a company of this caliber does not stand behind its customers or honor the commitments made by its employees. Frankly, I would expect better service. I got better service at a 99-cent store. Gucci should invest more of the money it charges customers into properly training its staff in professionalism, communication, and customer care. I expect Gucci to address this incident, explain why the promised exchange was not completed, and provide a prompt resolution. This experience has seriously damaged my confidence in the brand.
