This place gets the job done in a timely mnnter.I went to the trailer shop (JTI) because one of my leaf springs had broken on my trailer. I was told that I would be put on the waiting list because of the high demand of work to be done. Then I was told that if I paid an "Emergency Fee" that I could have the work done next week. Anyway I left that place and came upon a guy that told me about Stuver Springs. I call this place and was told to bring the trailer in an it's first come first served for the next day. I took the trailer in that very same day and before I had a chance to get my day started they called and said your trailer is ready... we close at four o'clock!! read more

Although it's been nearly 4 years since I last dealt with Stuver Spring, I felt that I should review the experience I had. I purchased a 1995 Jeep Cherokee 4.0L 5 speed manual in late 2011. It had the typical weak rear lead springs that would sag with even the slightest amount of weight in the trunk. I grew tired of the rubbing noises I would hear when I would drive over rough expressway bridge expansion strips, so I decided to look into getting my rear suspension fixed. I actually work as a service technician at a luxury car dealership in Akron and always work on my own cars/trucks. I priced out new and used leaf springs as well as all the bolts and hardware that would likely break from the typical Ohio rust. From what I remember, it was expensive..$400 for parts only. I remembered a guy I worked with had mentioned that Stuver Spring might be a good alternative to fixing it myself. I gave them a call and was quoted over the phone a very, very cheap price. I decided to take my Jeep in and have them do the work. They installed new bolts added a leaf and re-arched the springs and I paid the same price as they quoted me. It was over $300 cheaper than doing it myself. What a perfect experience. I vow to never mess with a leaf spring/shackle ever again. Stuver used to be a good company to go to for getting anything done with your leaf springs but I no longer recommend them. Their workers don't know what they are doing. I took my truck in on a Thursday and they got done with my truck so I picked it up. I heard a washer type of rattle like something was loose. Looked under when I was at work and noticed they only had put the bolt through my shocks and threaded the nut a few threads. I tightened them myself and called them up. They gave me $20 back after I went back and shown them a picture. The next day on a Friday my truck was squeaking loudly from the suspension. They put the bolt through the shackle the wrong way so it was rubbing on my frame. It was past the time they were closed so I burned the end of the bolt off myself. Called them up Monday when they opened and they refused to give me any more money back stating that I should have taken my time off of work to go down there for their screwup so they could have burned it off. I used to recommend people to them also since they are the only ones in town but I no longer recommend them. read more

I have dealt with Stuver twice. In both cases they got my car in quickly, did the work right, and charged a very reasonable amount. The most recent time was today, on my 2001 Cherokee (with the same problem another user mentioned). I'd recommend them to anyone. read more
