When I was finally asked to sit down in their chair and a girl came to work on my pedicure ten minutes later. I asked her what kinds of pedicure do they do and she didn't understand, and looked offended and weirded out that I asked, except other nail salons do offer different types of pedicures. The pedicure was full of her jabbing my toes and even though a few times I said "Ouch" she kept being so rough and even shoved my feet around like she was pissed off with her life or something, taking it out on me. A few times I caught her giving me this stern stare as well, completely unprovoked and incredibly hostile. She even shoved my feet very roughly into my slippers. I tried to diffuse the situation by smiling but she didn't even smile back. Not sure what the heck was wrong with her. Towards the end she left me to work on someone else without painting my nails, it was bizarre and another staff noticed I had been sitting there waiting so she finished painting my nails. As this girl seemed nice, she is the saving grace for me to give them 1 star, although they really haven't earned it. I recommend ladies and gents go elsewhere, where they have a bigger pedicure menu including nail buffing services, and friendly faces. Will never return.

She also filed the top of my nail prior to dipping it in powder-- most other places don't do this and filing your nail ruins it. Not sure why she didn't listen to my instructions. It's not a fancy salon, but it's clean and for the price you can't complain too much. Sleek, white, and spotless Duesenberg is very stylish. The high mirrors, black chairs and minimal…read morefurnishings all draw your attention to the stylists and the clients sitting in the chairs. The attention is on your hair and seeing as you are in a hair salon, this seems appropriate. Behind the front section the salon opens out into a washing area and more mirrors, this is a little more secluded and you won't need to feel like hiding when you have tin foil sticking out of your hair at odd angles. Duesenberg is manned by the owner Rob and his wife as well as several other hairdressers and apprentices. Armed with hair dryers, scissors, brushes, combs and a hell of a lot of product, Duesenberg will change your life - through your hair. On a more serious note I really do think it's a great salon. I think the staff are wonderful and very friendly (they are always offering coffees and teas, which wins them major brownie points in my book), but I think it's just a little too expensive. That's my only issue. For a half head of foils and a cut from a senior stylist I was looking at the region of around $200. It was just a little too much for me, but if you've got the money then I recommend Duesenberg with all my heart.
