Great place to relax and THROW an AX!!! If you remember basement parties and HS physics you will love this place. Well worth the visit and I will be back!

Stumpy's was a blast! My friends wanted a fun night out, and we couldn't have asked for a better place to go than Stumpy's! The axe-throwing competition was as exhilarating as it was memorable. The beer wall is a bit pricey, but one shouldn't pass up two hours of axe throwing for $40 per person! I would definitely go with my friends again!

This spot rocks! We had so much fun here you could easily throw axes all night! Great atmosphere and nicely lit. Provides more than sufficient space for social distancing. Our instructor Alli was a great teacher and we picked it up in no time. Would definitely be back soon. Thanks ladies!

    Boy's night.

We booked an hour ($32 per person per hour) which got us our own lane with two targets, two tomahawks and two hatchets, and "axe master" Alexis who showed us how everything worked and gave us tips on how to throw better. You can also pay extra to throw a wide assortment of gnarley, medieval looking weapons like spears and daggers and such. I spent a good chunk of time aiming for the blue dot "kill shot" and finally succeeded with just a few minutes left in the session. This got me the right to write my name in a blue sticker and spin the prize wheel and I got a Bury the Hatchet coozie to take home with me. This location is BYO (both food and alcohol - but no liquor) and they have tables where you can set up food and drinks. Kids are allowed but minimum age is 10. Overall a great place for a date night or time out with friends. We'll definitely be back sometime.

Leroi took the time to go over the instructions, kept coming over to check on us to make sure we were doing good. He was great with going over the games to play with the ax throwing. He was there for the high-fives when we hit bull's-eye and for the only one "call shot" that was made from our group. Overall, I would give the experience a 10+. I highly recommend, we will definitely go back. And Kudos to you Leroi!

Very fun experience. Three axes you get to handle and throw for either a one hour or two hour…read moresession depending on which duration you pick. You have an S hook Axe (heaviest out of the three), Hatchet (Typical Axe), or the Tomahawk Axe. Close to the end of the session they bring out a Firemen Axe that you can attempt to throw at the target and is easiest the hardest to maneuver. In addition to the Axe throwing, they have a fun baskettball arcade two person competition game that you all should be familiar from the days of your childhood arcade days and many other fun games such as shuffle board, Jenga, darts etc. This is perfect if you have a large party and are waiting your turn to throw as you can play a fun game while you wait. When I think of Axe throwing I am reminded of the beginning of the movie, "The Bodyguard" with Kevin Costner. There is a scene where someone is trying to recruit him to take on the bodyguard job and he is leisurely lobbing an axe at a wooden stake trying to land a shot. I can now see the allure of such a skillful and cathartic experience. As always people SYOY!!!

The first great part is when we got out and my wife opened the trunk to reveal a packed cooler of beer! Now, I should note that while you are allowed to bring alcohol, you can't bring hard liquor and you cannot be visibly intoxicated or they will not admit you (probably a smart thing). We had to sign a waiver of course in the event we chopped a limb off (we didn't). And then we were taken back to our lanes. It was a Saturday night and most of the lanes were full, we had two towards the back. One of the employees walked everyone through how we should throw and gave a couple of pointers before everyone took their time to give it a shot. They had great music, it's a relaxed atmosphere and everyone working there was great. We had a phenomenal time and will definitely be returning!

Going to give a very honest review that reflects several other problems recent lower star reviews…read morehave also said they had. The BEST thing about this place is the staff. In fact we will probably come back here to do another room and we wouldn't bother if it had not been for how friendly the staff is, especially (but not exclusively) someone named Jack. Seriously, whomever owns/runs this place, take note: you need to give this man a raise, because without him and the other people working there, we would never come back. We did the horror/spooky themed room "The Estate" which is fairly high tech in many ways. Lots of really cool digital effects, in theory a very well designed room. Unfortunately our *very first* two puzzles did not function properly. One of the very first doors that is meant to spring open didn't do so; it popped open a crack but we couldn't pull it open easily and given the rules to never force things open, we didn't want to pull it HARD, which it turns out we should have. Also, after solving the very first puzzle, a door that was supposed to spring open did not do so. They have a rule that you cannot ask for a hint for the first ten minutes, so for ten minutes we milled around feeling stupid until we finally asked for a clue that literally spelled out how to solve the next major puzzle - and when we did, a door opened with a prop hidden inside that had *the way to solve the puzzle we just solved* written inside of it. So that was pretty damned frustrating. Certain other things were a bit off here and there, but the deisgn and concept were very immersive so ultimately we let it go and as a duo of only two we managed to finish with ten minutes left (but it would have been more if we hadn't wasted the first ten.) If this place could get it's sh*t together to not have broken puzzles/doors/portions, they'd probably avoid these negative reviews. My advice: come here, give it a try, but say to your gamemaster before you start "I have read some recent reviews saying that some puzzles and traps are having problems. Can you please be very attentive during our experience and make sure nothing goes wrong, and if it does, help to correct it quickly?"

Overall, we escaped with lots of confusion and how things got activated. When asked, they stated that they were having lots of mechanical problems. What a great night! Came here with 2 friends on a Friday night and had a blast. This place is HUGE…read moreso you never feel crowded which I've seen at other axe throwing places. The owners are super friendly and eager to teach customers. They even gave us helpful tips which actually helped my aim and throw. The game itself is setup tournament style - so you'll play 3 rounds with every player to determine how you're placed and then it turns into a tournament and you can see a bracket of how everyone proceeds. If a tiebreaker is needed, the BIG AXE is brought out. This thing is a beast but super fun to use. You definitely end up working up a sweat by the end of the night haha The set up is really nice, including the virtual screens which makes it so easy to track points - it's a screen that matches the board and you just tap the screen to where the axe landed or select drop when it doesn't make it in the board. It's super easy and if you make a mistake, it's easy to fix too. They also have other games you can play such as pool, shuffleboard, and table hockey. The owners told me they're expanding and adding more games so be on the lookout for that. This place is BYOB - beer & wine only and also Bring Your Own Food which is convenient for when you have picky taste like I do. This place definitely stands out from your other axe throwing spots - feels like we had the place to our own and everyone was so nice and helpful. This will be my go to spot and can't wait to come back!

The hosts were excellent and made sure we were taken care of. The instructor explained everything well and electronic scoring is very neat. Was terrible the first few throws but once you figure out the distance and style that works for you it gets a lot easier! Would definitely recommend giving this place a try. Tons of parking outside.
