Then, we found Brooklyn Wedding Videography and they were AWESOME. The work is high quality, Robert captured everything we wanted for our special day and then some. He also was early to arrive at the hotel and then traveled to the venue, he captured every bit of our getting ready process through the end of the night and was constantly on the dance floor capturing some of the best moments during the reception. He used various camera angles and captured absolutely everything. Delisa was also amazing with the editing process and communicating with us about things we wanted/didn't want in our edits. We received our trailer and longer video very quickly and Delisa always helped us with making any changes we wanted to music, cuts, etc. You also receive all of the raw footage too which is amazing and something that many places don't offer. Overall, BkWV was awesome and the work is very high quality and beautiful. We booked "Touch of Class" for our daughter's communion party based on a prior party we attended…read morethat they played. DJ Marco was our DJ and he was simply fantastic. This DJ not only played good music for 4 hours straight, but he also managed to have a balloon machine on hand and was making balloons for roughly 15 yelling kids, all while taking song requests and playing music without a pause or complaint. We payed for the upgraded lighting package which was totally worth it for the extra $50. The balloon machine was a pleasant unexpected surprise! He kept the kids entertained while the adults were able to eat! And he was a great emcee and very friendly. The only reason for one less star is someone at the office forgot to give him our song list, but he was able to play it after we emailed it to his phone. Also, didn't like that he didn't have one song we wanted and we had to pay and download it for him on iTunes. Other than that though, we totally recommend this company! Just make sure you call the day before to make sure the DJ brings your song list and has all your songs you want played.

Vosters crushed it at our June 2019 wedding. SLAYED. I mean literally blew it out of the water, and…read moreexceeded our (admittedly high) expectations. Every single song, transition, clip, all of it, was just exactly perfect in every moment. We asked for a mix of current top 40, throwbacks, R&B, 90s, and unexpected songs across genres. Vosters had such an awesome way of incorporating all of that which kept the dance floor lit the entire night. We have never seen some of our friend and family dance the way they did! Friends and parents' friends alike were gushing, saying they were obsessed. I can't count the number of guests who were professing LOVE for the DJ, where did we find him!??, best DJ they've ever heard, and so on. Interpersonally, Mike was professional but also so much fun. He took the time to really invest in our experience -- to understand what feeling we wanted, what songs and genres we loved, to curate a set list that "got" us. We exchanged emails and calls to make sure we had the bridal party names correctly pronounced, just the right cut-off points for first dances, and so forth. We felt in completely capable hands and would recommend to ALL. If I could, I would just playback the entire night playlist daily (repeatedly).

The day of our wedding, we were very impressed with our photographers. They arrived early, stayed…read morelate, worked hard, and were very congenial. Our guests appreciated their presence. When we got our photos a month and a half later, we were somewhat disappointed. There didn't seem to be a lot of great photos. Lots were dark; many were out of focus or mis-focused, and lots of key moments seemed to be captured at awkward angles--perhaps too much effort was placed on being inconspicuous. We didn't really get the sense that a lot of time was spent post-processing them, either. (We realized later that most of our favorite photos from their portfolio were on very bright days in all-white houses and professionally-lit reception halls. We wrongly assumed the beauty was captured via their execution.) I wouldn't say they were "bad," just underwhelming relative to even our tempered expectations. The most disappointing part came at the end. We tried hard to express our disappointment diplomatically. We asked the lead photographer to point out some of the photos he put extra work into so we could appreciate them or compare them to the raw photos, and we asked for some of the photos they had removed (due to focus issues, etc.) so we could maybe salvage parts of them ourselves if they captured a moment we wanted but missed. His responses were very defensive and unproductive. He said he spent lots of time on them, he insisted we were sent great photos, and that we don't understand working with a videographer and how that limited the angles they could get. We attempted to deescalate by clarifying that we were just trying to get the most out of the day without imposing more time on him, not to criticize or complain, but it was fruitless. He said he selected the best photos and only removed bad photos, then later contradicted that he had sent us all the photos when we requested the "bad" ones. In the end, he returned our tip (which we didn't want or ask him to do), and stopped responding to us without providing any of the material we requested. I get that asking to "show your work" can be insulting to a professional, but his response when we were just trying to make the most of the situation was anything but professional. I'm sure there are plenty of Bride- and Groom-zillas who will be much less understanding than we, and while the photos were a little disappointing, the final taste in our mouths gives me more reason to advise caution.
