Started with him a couple of years ago, feeling flabby, having gotten almost no exercise for a couple of years during the Covid panic. Could feel positive results after just a few workouts. He's got a very clear idea of the connection between strength and health, which--as the other reviewers note---he knows how to implement in different was for different people. Michael emphasizes safety, subtly pushing you, but never forcing the next step until you're ready. His sessions are strenuous, but always enjoyable. And conversing with him between sets about sports, history, training, ... you name it ... is so much fun! He's the best!

It got really frustrating so I turned to cosmetic produces witch didn't really do much. Have been working out for all of my life. So I thought.... It was not till I meet Michael that I started seeing real results. Michael was very understanding of my crazy busy life. He made a workout and eating plan that made sense for me and not for 1000 generic people. Have lost 16 pounds and feel GREAT ! Will forever be recommending his services to all of my friends and family ! Thank you again Michael !!

Also have to mention their playlists... absolutely on point and make the workout fly by . Always leave class feeling stronger and in a better mood; definitely keep coming back for their sessions when I'm in town! The workout itself? No joke. Expect to shake, sweat, and question your life choices halfway through--in the best way possible . I left feeling stronger and accomplished every time. The studio is clean, modern, and has that motivating energy the moment you walk in. Instructors pay close attention to form, which makes the workout feel both challenging and safe. Street parking is available, and there's also a plaza right across the studio with free parking for a few hours, which makes getting in and out super convenient.

Both studios are beautiful and intentional, and the instructors are truly what make this place. I've taken classes with almost all of them and every single one has been knowledgeable, motivating, and kind. I always leave feeling challenged, confident, and better than when I walked in. Another bonus is the community and events that get put on for members. These events have been so fun and a great place to make friends! Thank you core collective! I'm already seeing results physically and mentally, which makes me actually excited to keep showing up! Highly recommend you give it a try if you are looking for your next wellness obsession!

That said, DAMN. I definitely don't feel that way in this spin class! The workouts are flexible for any level, and I can honestly say I sweat way more here than I ever do on the elliptical. Plus, I burn more calories in 45 minutes of spin than I do in an hour on the elliptical! The music's fun, the vibe is energizing, and they sneak in just enough arm work to keep it interesting. I didn't realize how much that mattered until I stepped on the scale and saw I'd lost five pounds (which is more weight loss in one month than in the 3 months previous!) Every instructor I've had has done a great job of making class easy to follow, challenging, and high-energy (and they're super friendly! I don't think I've had a single class where the instructor didn't take a second to say hi!) That said, a few tips! I went with the Black Star membership which is perfect for my needs. If you go with this one and RSVP for a class, MAKE SURE TO SHOW UP (because they WILL charge you for the missed class!). That said, I haven't had any problems getting into a class, so it's def worth waiting a little bit closer to class time before hitting the RSVP button! It's a $3 shoe rental fee, so if you've got clippy shoes, bring 'em along!

She is certified as a Sports trainer which in…read moreher case encompasses massage, injury "repair" (as in my case), Personal and Professional Sports Training (ie: get yer butt moving), and more I can't think of right now. I came to Joanna on the advise of a friend, Boy, do I owe her dinner! This business is new, but her experience is wide ranging and impressive. Plus, I swear she can look at you and see from the bones out, to really get whats not working right. I had had cronic back pain for over ten years from a discectomy. (they took one out) Western medicine being get em done and get em out, no scar care and crappy Physical Therapy were my follow-up care. Joanna started by releasing the scar tissue so I could have better movement. After a couple months (yes, months. It takes time to release10 years of scarification) I was moving easier and the pain had abated greatly. Then we moved to floor exercises and it progressed to where I am not only pain-free, but my abs are really shaping up. So, take care of your pains, no need to suffer. Joanna has my utmost respect and gratitude. You should see my balance! She fixed me and gets my lazy butt moving. At very least, strong enough to keep the pain from ever returning. Oh, I'm 51, heavier that I'd like to be, a former martial artist, chef and female. Do yourself a favor and take care of that nagging issue that's only getting worse. Or where you pulled "something" picking up your kid or groceries or the dog. Obviously, I can't say enough good things. Check her out, support the locals.
