Kayla worked with me to find the best shade match with the dimensions I asked for. She and I picked out two colors from Bellami. We ordered them, and she prepared them for my install. She's personable, and listens to feedback without taking it negatively. I think above all else, she is honest about what to expect with extensions. They're expensive and quite the labor to maintain, but she was very transparent about what to expect in that regard. The only thing I feel a tad weary about is the feel of the bonds in my hair. At the moment (and maybe because they're new) they feel a bit tough to the touch. The bonds are meant to soften with time as you wash your hair, so I'm looking forward to that. It feels great to have a full head of hair again :). I'm a regular gym-goer at this point in my life, and the k-tips are flexible to my lifestyle needs. I can gym, put my hair up, go in the pool if I want, and style per usual.

My stylist was Lyric. She seemed pretty scattered from the beginning. She invited me to the chair we talked about what I was looking for she said no problem and she got to work. I was looking to cut my shoulder length hair to a pixie cut. She cut off the majority of my hair then shampoo. Everything seemed to be going good even though she was a bit distracted. Lyric was stopping to check messages on her phone as they came in. About 15min into my cut she took a phone call. She invited her friends in to come talk to her while still cutting my hair. Her friend came in and sat in the empty chair next to us and they proceeded to have a personal conversation about going out, their friends, and their partners. After chatting between themselves for about 15min Ricky asked to see Lyric in the back. When she came back she begrudgingly asked her friend to leave. During the time she was talking with her friend she was very distracted. My hair is very uneven and choppy. Very poorly blended. some areas are very short, some very thick. It was a very disappointing experience. I had just worked up the courage to chop my hair off and it just didn't go well. I have nothing bad to say about Ricky or his business. I applaud him for being observant and taking steps to make my experience better. Unfortunately it was just a bad experience and haircut.

Sadly I was way too tentative about how much I wanted off, and by the end of the cut I wasn't totally happy with it. Seeing this, she gave me her card and said she could squeeze me in tomorrow for a touch up, if I wanted (so nice!). I did come back, and after some back and forth about what I wanted, walked out with one of my favorite haircuts! Well, that obstacle couldn't stop Heather to do an amazing job She listens to what I want, knows instantly what to do balancing my dream haircut vs the reality of my hair and delivers the perfect outcome :) I wanted some bangs to cover the extra fat on my face I've been gaining since the pandemic LOL. My hair is genetically very thin, so I'm glad Heather told me NO it wasn't a good idea and gave me a lot of nicely framing layers instead. Pricing are standard, and the salon is very clean, follows all CDC guidelines and hey, if you like DIY crafts, she made a few cute pieces there that for sure would capture your attention :) Pictures are my 2nd time seeing her for the balayage, 2 months after my initial hair cut.
