I can usually get an appt. same week or maybe the next. I have seen them take quick walk-ins, but I prefer to schedule. At my last appt., Roxy added in some more highlights and layers for Summer + she waxed my eyebrows real quick for me during my hair appt. Also, I'm excited they're doing micro-blading now! I can't wait to get my eyebrows micro-bladed! Great stylists at an affordable rate!

My buzzed part is all uneven and when she was using the buzzers she was all over the place with it. Instead of going in same direction. Also my bangs don't lay right and some of the longer hairs go on the other side that is supposed to be buzzed. I had first got an A line haircut at the salon in Walmart and that lady with long blonde hair didn't stack the back part enough, I had to go back 3X then decided screw it I will go somewhere else and go shorter. So it went from bad to worse. Nobody knows how to cut hair properly in this town that I have met or knows anything about dye either. So if you want a crappy haircut go here. I corrected it myself and it has grown out a little, looking a bit better.

Its hard for a Scottish male who cares about good hair to find a good stylist in the US. Salon's…read morecomparable to my salon at home don't really cater for men too well and most barbers simply don't have a clue so I try to steer a middle course and go to a family salon when in the US in the hope that they have someone who can handle clippers and also has a bit of finesse. A man asking for a blow-dry (even someone like me who's not exactly the most macho man on the continent) always arouses surprise - and so it was in Hairworks Family Salon. However faced with the major challenge of a guy with a weird haircut and high expectations between them most of the styling team emerged to step up to the plate and in the process I - and I hope the four girls I met - had a really fun forty minutes or so, having a real laugh about our different expectations of hairdressing. Judith gave me a really great, careful clipper cut followed by a good shampoo and a very, very competent wet trim. She then gave me quite the worst blow dry I've ever encountered! However I showed her how to correct that - with some encouragement from the other girls - and soon my head looked quite like my head again. Much to everyone's surprise I had asked for my hair to be straightened. That's always my expectation of a cut and finish at my home salon in Scotland - but clearly not here in Arizona. Judith acknowledged she wasn't good with flat irons and started an incredibly ham-fisted attempt to straighten my hair; she obviously had never used flat irons before! But one of the other girls stepped in and - at my direction and amid much hilarity - between us we got the job done. She was very good with flat irons and was beginning to see where I was coming from. A colleague walked by at one point to ask - 'Did he come in to do his own hair?' I eventually emerged with a good-enough blow dry and finish following a really good cut. Thanks so much you guys. I really enjoyed the experience. Your flexibility and humour - and the way you were able to adapt what you do to a crazy European with the least American hairstyle you must ever have seen does you great credit! And with such humour too. I was lucky to have happened by at a quiet time in the salon but you went out of your way to give a quality service. Thanks again.
