I had to give one star in order to write my review so here I am. Keke also known as Kekehairstylist on ig is one of the most unprofessional stylist I've met. Businesses operate because of the clientele, but this young lady doesn't seem at all familiar with the concept of customer service. She agrees to services she is unable to provide properly, over charges (mine to the tune of $1100) and refuses to accept accountability. I will simply post what I wanted vs what I received because I no longer have the energy to entertain this situation. Just know this young lady is a narcissist who will take your money (and frontal) in my case and run. Not worth the time or money when there are so many other talented black stylist. Run Ricky, Run! P.s in the pictures you will se Wig- which wouldn't stay glued, I was told I should have told her I sweat... maybe consultations should be utilized moving forward. Plus does this look like the color from the previous pictures of Bey? Oh but wait, she also kept the frontal because she made the wig "glueless" for free although the frontal was part of the total cost and therefore mine! read more

IF I CAN GIVE -0 STARS I WOULD ! Keke is by far the most unprofessional, RUDE, conniving money hungry person ive ever met! I booked a appointment to get my hair done for my birthday, 2 days prior to my birthday. The day of my appointment I receive a text from Keke at 9:57am saying she doesn't think she will make it into the salon because she's not feeling well, but will let me know around 10:30am mind you I have a 11am appointment. So I ask for my 50$ deposit back so i can go somewhere else and get my hair done, she said no she'll come in. then ask me what am i getting done. I told her then she said make sure you bring cash 100$ which to me came off really rude because we discussed the price when i booked the appointment. SO I still manage to make it on time. She strolls up to the door at 11:04am and opens the shop, I go in and she instantly tells me no kids allowed if i didn't read when i booked. I explained that I didn't realize and i called my bf to come pick up my 3month old. so as i'm waiting for him to come KEKE keeps on going explaining how " having my baby there is a liability " " theres a lot of glass around " I told her she's a baby i don't think she will be touching glass. THEN she goes " why would you want your baby smelling chemicals " " I wouldn't want my baby inhaling that " so I say i wasn't aware i was getting chemicals in my hair. She's like you don't know what ima be doing. MIND YOU IM THE ONLY ONE THERE !!! SO then KEKE jumps up and says you don't have to get your hair done here, i told her i was only coming here because i know someone who comes to her and she was like i don't like your attitude, your not getting your hair done and you not getting your deposit back. and proceeds to give me my wig back and kick me and my baby out and closed the shop down. NEEDLESS TO SAY THIS CHICK NEVER HAD INTENTIONS ON DOING MY HAIR WHEN SHE WOKE UP THAT MORNING BUT NEEDED A REASON TO KEEP MY DEPOSIT. BROKE B**** ! DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND LEAVE STUDIO PINK IN 2019. Hmmmm I don't know why I waited two days to write this review. I was so satisfied during my service that I was ready to write it then lol. I heard about Studio Pink from a coworker who knows the owner (KeKe) very well. I was supposed to make an appointment a while ago but anyway I made an appointment a couple days ago and I'm so pleased. When you first walk in the store, the decor catches your eye. It's extremely beautiful and girly. Her assistant immediately started to braid my hair which only took 15-20 minutes. Out of all the years getting my hair done, that's the shortest amount of time anyone took to braid my hair. While she was finishing, KeKe the owner came in and started sewing me in. I was so impressed with the services. Everyone was extremely nice and most importantly FAST. It usually takes hours but they move fast.!! The owner also does hair for Angela Simmons often do you know her work is official She doesn't take cards so you have to bring cash I HIGHLY recommend !!! You won't be disappointed! read more

First & foremost I would like to say this shop is VERY unprofessional, It's not a welcoming salon... the vibes are very negative and off. The owner "keke" is very money hungry and over charges. Don't bother booking an appointment because you will NEVER get your hair done on time, you pay 50 dollars to book your desired appointment time meanwhile when you get there somebody else has your appointment then not to mention there's always 2 more people in front of you. So you'll be waiting hours. Prices are not consistent and hairstyles don't last I've gotten my hair done here TWICE and mind you they looked nice BUT both styles only lasted up to two weeks, I thought about giving this place another chance after the first time but NEVER again. Your hair can look nice but your professionalism, vibes & way you speak to people can take away from all of that. I'm all for black businesses and I never wrote a bad review on a black business before in my life but this hair salon is not it! My advice to everyone DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. I started coming here about 2 years ago and the vibe in the salon is so welcoming, comfortable and glamorous. The head stylist and owner Keke was very professional and courteous and definitely made me try different styles that has boosted my confidence. Studio pink is a place where you can sip wine or champagne while you wait in your pink robe, listening to good music and just relax. I never wait long and my hair is always fabulous! Keke is sweet and very down to earth. I Love it here!!! read more

My stylist left a salon in Hempstead and came here. The place is very diva - pink walls, pink chairs in the waiting area, chandeliers throughout and a picture of Marilyn Monroe. There are comfortable modern sink stations. The staff are nice and very helpful to one another. I've heard no gossip since I've been coming and the people are very professional. Overall, thus far, I like it and am a fan! read more
