Since the end of 2019 I've been a nomad due to salon closures, and stylists permanently leaving the industry. In trying to find a new stylist, others gave me mismatched horizontal color bands or hair cuts by people who should have their license revoked - until I found Justin. Studio One Salon in Thousand Oaks is the absolute best!! First off, the whole staff is so welcoming and friendly. At other salons that I've been to, the whole staff always seemed kinda stuck up-well thats not the case here. I was nervous trying a new salon but all the staff members are really knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions. I've been coming here for quite a bit now. Dani is THE BEST for hair extensions. GO. TO. HER. For blow drys and color, I've had a couple of their hair stylists and they are all great. You can't go wrong. Since moving to Northern California (about a 5 hours drive), I still make the drive just to come to this salon. I really didn't want to give up this place lol. When I'm getting my hair done I feel like I can relax and really catch up with the girls but also knowing that my hair is in good hands! I had almost given up looking for someone to Install extensions on my medium length very fine hair. The blonde I wanted would've killed my hair if we did just one treatment so he separated it into 2, and turned my hair into a golden blonde/brown the first time, and a lighter blonde the second time. Justin is super sweet and always asks if I want anything to drink n stuff whenever he goes to grab more product He puts hydrating products into my hair so it's still really soft, and gives aftercare tips and recommendations. I have gone here twice for a brazilian blow out and both times Ashley has done it and done such a beautiful job. I give her a props for putting up with the process that is pretty smelly. The environment is usually very friendly but today the stylist next to us made me uncomfortable when my stylist apologized for the smell and I was met with a nasty look when i looked up apologetically. I was pretty uncomfortable after that which isn't ideal as I was excited to have my hair done. Other than that everyone in the salon is very nice and I highly recommend this place. read more

It is always hit and miss trying to find someone that understands what look you are trying to achieve and sometimes the reality is it's not possible because your hair texture may not be the same as the photo you are trying to replicate. My daughter and friends all said the length & style really suited me & knocked at least 10 years off my face! I'm so pleased with the layers and length & she cut movement and much needed shape to my long overdue hair. And the true test of an superb haircut is after I washed and styled my hair that I could replicate the just-left-the-salon-look myself without using Velcro rollers!
